As I've gotten older, I've started investing more into caring for my skin. One of the things that have always bothered me is melasma. One of the challenging things about melasma is that you can try certain methods of lessening the severity of it but it can come back or in some instances, make it worse. I debated on doing IPL for the longest but I've been told it doesn't always work with my skin tone so I stuck to doing peels which didn't give me the results I was hoping for. I saw a webinar about the Picosure laser by the owner was sold! Vanessa did a really great job explaining what Picosure is, what it does, and who can use it. As the machine was new to TTWD, there was a promotion for a three-pack which I jumped on. The first thing was to do a virtual consult to make sure the treatment you want to do is appropriate for your skin. Once that's done, and you're given the all-clear, you can book your appointment. I've had all three of my treatments now and I've seen a different person at each appointment by chance and everyone has been super friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I also got Botox by my eyebrows/temple area and the forehead area and I'm really happy with the results. TTWD differentiates itself from other medical spas in that they are not only a beautiful and calming space but the staff makes you feel at ease and comfortable discussing all your concerns. My favorite treatment here is PRFM and microneedling with radio frequency, it's saved me from wearing as much makeup or foundation. Pros: Such a cute office and really really friendly staff. First time getting Botox and the person who I worked with was very sweet and helped me feel comfortable. Cons: The results were not what I was expecting even after getting more units at the two week follow up. The nurse practitioner said that either different muscles need to be injected or I'm a better candidate for dysport. I waited to get Botox elsewhere before posting a review just in case it was an issue around how my body reacts to Botox. Received 10 units less at another place with more effective results. It's possible that the person I worked with at Things We Do is still working on building experience and so I should have done more research. read more

From checking in with a lovely girl at the front desk to taking my pre picture with Bree (also a sweetheart) and meeting my nurse Steph, I was sooo happy and so comfortable. I absolutely love Steph. Mrs. Vanessa Lee is literally my best kept beauty secret! I started seeing Mrs. Lee for fillers a few years back. At the time, she was working at a beauty/medical center in Chino Hills. It was a 3 hour drive for me that I took without hesitation, as I am always seeking the best of everything. I first stumbled upon Mrs. Lee on Instagram and was immediately impressed by her before and after photos, especially for the tear trough injections. This is an extremely complex and delicate area thus requiring precision and expertise from the best of the best. After achieving a less than favorable result from a prior injector, I decided to strive for perfection and make an appointment with Mrs. Lee- and I am so so glad I did! When I first saw Mrs. Lee, she also noticed that my left eye was injected incorrectly, and provided me with a plan on how to achieve my desired results. I immediately developed a liking to her confidence, patience, and honestly. From that point on, it was history! Mrs. Lee's goal (as well as the objective of The Things We Do) is not for you to leave looking like a different person- the goal is to enhance the patients' features in a natural and refreshed manner. "Balance" is a strong keyword at The Things We Do. I have followed Mrs. Lee to now, her beautiful permanent location in Downtown Los Angeles. I would honestly follow her to New York if she ever decided to move there! She has never recommended anything that I did not need. I believe the prices are very reasonable considering the outcome of the treatments.
