Shazia, is my lady at this salon. I've been receiving service from her at this salon for almost 2 years now. She is very good with angle of peoples faces and shaping when it comes to eyebrow threading. I also receive facials from her at this salon. It is a very relaxing and soothing facial with natural products that they use as well. I would highly recommend this salon for multiple reasons. It is within anyone's price range, the Ladies within the salon are very nice, patient and understand an listen to there customer very well. so happy that i found the threading salon!!! living in downtown chicago i used to go to thread away where they would charge $25 (not only was that location overpriced, but they took a long time too doing unnecessary things like combing my eyebrows w/ an eyelash comb). the threading salon is awesome, the girls are friendly, fast & efficient and they do a great job shaping up my eyebrows/cleaning them up. eyebrows & upper lip is comes to about $15! way better than $25!! ooh & they even give u stamp card..after 10 visits u get one free! read more

I stumbled upon this place after being in the neighborhood and in desperate need of an eyebrow threading. I instantly looked it up on yelp to see what others have said about it to see if I should give it a shot. I'm not very picky with where I go for my eyebrows--I keep them pretty thick so there is really no way to screw them up. When I got there, there were only a few people waiting to get there eyebrows done. I am very patient when it comes to salons and don't expect them to rush with a client just because it gets busy-- I wouldn't want them to rush with me. Parking sucks in the area mostly being meter parking. I paid the meter for 45 min since there were 3 women working and only 3 people ahead of me who seemed to be up next soon, but I always add a little extra time to the meter. They do have a list where you sign in upon arrival, however they do not follow it. After 40 min of waiting, one worker decided to go on her lunch break despite the fact that now it had gotten busy and at least 5 people were behind me in line now. I informed a worker that I would return shortly, I just had to repay my meter. She said ok. After returning just 5 min later, I realized everyone in front of me was finally being taken care of, so I was next. The second a chair opened up, the worker yelled "next" WITHOUT looking at the list. Without hesitation, some very rude-in-a-hurry customer who was NOT there when I walked out to repay the meter, jumped up and sat down. When I confronted the worker to tell her I was next, she had no recollection of me being there at all. Seriously? I was the only light skinned chunky girl in a room full of darker, thinner women for the last HOUR. I think I stood out. After 5 min of trying to convince them and NO ONE who saw/conversated with me standing to my defense, the minor detail of saying how the one worker left to lunch at SUBWAY across the street made them realize I had to have been there a while and allowed me to sit down. Whats the point of a list? And there is not much seating. Only enough room for about 3 people to sit comfortably. Everyone else crowds around the doorway. Bottom line: Unless you're willing to wait over an hour for your eyebrows and not even be recognized for being there, go somewhere else. read more

I've been coming here on & off for years. This place is amazing & the price is right. I usually get my eyebrows & upper lip threaded. My favorite service is the Brazilian & under arm wax. These ladies really know what they are doing! I have to admit though, Shazia is my go to woman for the Brazilian because she's fast & thorough! read more

I will never come to this place again moving forward. I generally just come here when I'm not able to see my regular threading technician. Today I had the worst experience ever. I came in to thread my upper and lower lip as I usually do. However, one of the ladies here was so rough with my when she was doing this that I left with cuts in both sides of my mouth and she didn't even apologize or say anything to me. Are you kidding me?! You clearly saw that I was bleeding and didn't even acknowledge it when I was checking out. I could tell that she was being rough because while I was sitting there the string kept getting caught on different parts of my face. I'd recommend telling them to take it easy and slow if not they might just rush to get you out of there and hurt you in the process. read more

I can't recommend this place because Nikki isn't there anymore. I have been serviced by other people there and when i was threaded, i was once left with my eyebrows that had many cuts on them and took over a week to heal. i also got waxed by someone else here once, and they weren't friendly and didn't do a thorough job. read more

The threading salon was not a pleasant experience at all! The wait was so long, which is not a big deal if they were going in the order of how people signed up. The women working there were always looking confused. The threading itself was the slowest and most painful threading experience I had. My eyebrows were red and bumpy afterwards too! I get my eyebrows threaded every two weeks every since the age of 14, so I usually know what to expect. I have never had such a bad experience. The lady who did mine seemed so inexperienced too, she was dropping her thread every so often, very unprofessional. The owner I believe is supposed to be good though, but she wasn't there. The thought I would try this place out, but never again! read more

The usual lady I go to was busy with waxing so I decided to go to this new lady that i have not seen before since I come monthly, but obviously going to her was a bad idea because a chunk of my brow was missing... The Place was crowded and i dont mind the wait. But when i was getting my eyebrows done, the lady accidentally cut me in the middle of my eyebrows. When i sensed it and asked her if there was blood, she denied. After a while i realised there was and when i asked her about it - she says it is normal and very common. she was neither apologetic norr did she say sorry. I found my new threading place! The ladies were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the parking was the worst part of the experience. There was a bit of a wait, but the process was quick and accurate. The prices were very reasonable but you have to remember to bring cash which is a bit inconvenient for tips. read more

so when this little place opened up across the street from my apartment I thought, "ugh..threading?? why not a small grocery store or even an ice cream place?" well then it was time to get hair removed. I walked in and all the ladies were so nice when I told them I only get waxed and have never been threaded before. They told me that threading is much less harsh on the skin so I should try it. So I did. and I can't say I love it, because man is threading painful!!!!! (I have tears that just appear every time) but, the women are all so nice and do a wonderful job with the least pain possible. Also, I get my underarms waxed by Nikki. She is amazing and honestly does the best job out of anyone I have ever gone to. Request for Lubna for eyebrows! She's the best. She's very popular so there may be a wait if you go at peak hours, but it's worth it! I have very thin hairs and she does a good job cleaning them up without making them look too thin. read more

Love this place. I am very picky about my eyebrows due to some bad past experiences, but this salon is perfect. I have been coming here for three years and have only had great experiences. All the ladies working here are really nice and very skilled. They know what they're doing and take their time, even when there is a long wait. Before I found this place, I would go into my previous threading salon and have to wait for one lady because the others were not as skilled. That's not the case here. Every single person who has done my brows does a great job. There is usually a long wait, so this is really helpful as I can just go with whoever is available first. If you are looking for a place to get threading or waxing done, it does not get better than this in terms of both quality of service and price. I have been getting my eyebrows and upper lip threading as well as leg waxing done for years and I found my forever place! Every time I get my eyebrows done, people stop me and say, where did you get them done? They look perfect! The staff are all equally talented, gentle and friendly and the salon is clean and efficient. They know how to work with all kinds of skin which is important. Nikki is amazing!. I've been getting my eyebrows done for a very long time so I can say with confidence that she does the best job shaping them and making sure they are perfectly symmetrical. Third and final review, as I will not be coming back. I just had a full leg wax with Shaggy. It was the most painful leg wax of my entire life and I've been waxing my legs for about 15 years now. I've also had this exact service at this establishment probably 20 times now with four different ladies, and all of them were fine. The last place I went to made my eyebrows way too thin and Syeda was so nice about helping me get them back to where they used to be.
