I've been coming to this salon for years now and I think they do some of the cleanest work out of the many different threading salons I've been to. The women who work here are really nice and really good at what they do! I usually get my brows and chin threaded, and my upper lipped waxed. They always go back and thread whatever the wax didn't pick up or what was missed in the first pass. They also always ask you to check their work after they're done and have always been really accommodating if I've asked for any slight touch-ups or changes once they're done. They also always offer aloe and other skin-soothing products once they're finished. For those 3 services it costs $27 before tip, which is slightly more expensive than it was in the past ($21 before tip for all 3 a couple years ago), but still really reasonable and worth it considering the quality of the service in my opinion. My partner and I go to the Threading Salon when we need our eyebrows threaded. The girls here are very courteous, professional and work efficiently. We used to go up north and waste gas with a threader who used cheap thread that was very painful. At the Threading Salon there is no pain involved and they even offer you gel after-wards to sooth your skin. I had a bad experience with a threader on Devon St. but never one here and I have been to many different salons across Chicago! Save your gas, time, money and skin some pain and head to this spot! When I lived in the area I used to go here just for my eye brows regularly. I would walk in and usually within 10 minutes I'd be out with perfectly shaped brows, and any of the women were excellent. I started using their other waxing services, under arm and bikini, with Niki and even after I moved to the opposite side of the city I still go back there. I tried other salons that were closer but nothing compared to Niki. She's the best! I suggest making an appointment for waxing, they are always on time with them. read more

Niki is the only person who knows something about professional courtesy. The owner has a cold deadpan personality, knows nothing about how to treat clients with respect. She is an ice maiden. Someone needs to teach her some basic courtesy like you have to say "thank you" when a client pays you money. What can you expect from an uneducated person? Disgusting!! Definitely not going back where people can think that they can take your money AND get away with behaving badly. YUCK!! read more

This place is really awesome. The ladies are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I went there for threading and waxing. Shazia was a nice lady and did a really great job with my eyebrows. As a person new to waxing I was so nervous and anxious. But she made me feel completely at ease and made it a pleasant experience. i would recommend her to anyone. I am really young and I've only got my eyebrows waxed once and I decided to actually go out and get them done. As I decided to go there it was a small tidy well put together place. I needed to get my brows cleaned and the lady(shazia) I worked with was a sweet heart. My eyebrows turned out being perfect!!!!! I've been coming here for 2 years since I started at UIC. Syeda has been doing my eyebrows since then and she is always great! Minimal pain, so nice, and I never have to give her much direction. She knows me by name and always remembers how I like my eyebrows. I recently came to do a full back wax and she finished my back, eyebrows, and upper lip all within 30 minutes. It's a okay place , prices are actually a bit high but their kind service . Then again it's a hit or miss situation there as sometimes I encounter rude customer service , maybe it's probably because they are having a tuff day .anyways , they did a okay job , not too good and not too bad . It was a great experience. Syeda did really excellent job. She is very good at waxing and brazilian. She makes you feel comfortable and gives the best service. Wow I had my first ever life facial from Shazia and my eyebrows done in one day!! Absolutely amazing she used natural product. Huge plus in my opinion I'm someone who has very sensitive skin. This is by far the best place I've been to. The pricing is very good, the staff is very attentive and overall good energy. One thing I dislike is the waiting, whenever I tend to go to this place it is always very busy. I usually recommend Shazia as she is a very sweet lady and surprisingly has a gentle hand. Can't beat the service for the price. My eyebrows are fierce, but I didn't have to break the bank. To other reviewers comments about it being crowded - yes sometimes it can be crowded, but they move so quickly and efficiently that there is never a long wait.
