I've been coming to this gift shop my entire life. When I was little I really thought it was so, so magical -- especially all those polished, glimmering seashells. Every single one was an enchanted talisman that could directly connect me to the ocean, and I felt the need to collect them all. For some reason I was particularly fond of the sand dollars! I'm not much of a seashell collector anymore, but I'm still mesmerized by all things ocean-related. I grew up visiting Bodega Bay every summer, shaping my love for cold, eerie, foggy, rocky beaches.. Then in the eighth grade we read the short story that the movie "The Birds" is based on by Daphne du Maurier (more horrifying than the movie, AHHHH it's so good). I developed a love for horror, and also became a big fan of Hitchcock and Kim Novak (Vertigo is one of my fave movies ever). Sooo, naturally, I was primed to become a staunch lover of Hitchock's "The Birds," filmed here in Bodega Bay. Where am I going with all this? Tides Wharf is featured in the film, and this gift shop pays beautiful homage to the movie with fantastic merch. Come here to learn all "The Birds" history and trivia and leave with all kinds of memorabilia. If you're not into "The Birds" (what is wrong with you haha) it's okay -- this spot is otherwise your traditional oceanside gift shop selling all the beachy goodies you'd ever want, from tiny puka shells to enormous conchs, to t-shirts and toys, magnets and shot glasses, local art and stationary, jewelry and mugs, candles and soaps, and so much more. read more

Such a cute gift shop attached to The Tides Restaurant. My husband and I had a drink (with an amazing view!) there, then came to the gift shop. They had shirts, sweatshirts, hats, pottery, and all sorts of fun home decor items. The quality was goods and prices were fair. We found some great souvenirs to remember this fun weekend spent at Bodega Bay. Would definitely return next time we're in Bodega Bay. read more

This is a nice building to visit with lots of parking. It houses a restaurant as well. The restroom was well maintained. Out the back, you can get a view of the water from a deck. The gift shop has a lot to see--apparel, hats, kitchenwares, toys, stuffies, knickknacks, lotions, shells, decor, jewelry, books, & more! Though there's a lot, it was still organized & clean. We were able to just browse freely. We picked up some souvenirs & a cute tee for little one. The staff was friendly at checkout. read more

Have stopped at this gift shop for years but the most recent experience was disappointing. Purchased an overpriced mug, the clerk wrapped it with a few pieces of paper and put it in a bag. We get home only to unwrap it and see the handle is broken. Went back to the store within 20 minutes and the clerk wouldn't exchange it, even had the gall to insinuate that I and other customers are just clumsy and break things and that's why she can't exchange it. I really enjoyed The Tides Wharf & Gift Shop. It was very clean, had welcoming staff, and a variety of touristy things for sale. It's a "mall" setup, with a restaurant, a butcher shop, and restrooms. There's outside seating with views of the water. I bought too many things and then still found myself returning on another day. It's a good spot to find trinkets and a nice hoodie, have a snack, and then to take a photo with "The Birds" backdrop. read more

Love this little gift shop it's super cute. This place is in the same plaza as the tides wharf market and the restaurant. We have come here every time we have visit Bodega Bay. They have quite a bit in there from a small souvenirs to bigger things, magnets, seashells and so much more. We have bought a wind chime from there, magnets, and a few other miscellaneous things. If you have forgotten things like a sweater and blankets they also sell those there as well like blankets are great to have and keep you warm. And they usually have a small cute sale section table just outside the store, so yℴu never know what you're going to score. I've also gone here to find some decor for our beach themed room. We have gotten 2 wind chimes from here one for home and one for our rv which is our home way from home. The Tides Wharf Gift Shop is the biggest gift and souvenir shop in Bodega Bay. It is located inside the Tides Wharf with the Tides Wharf Restaurant and Snack bar together. Perfect location for visitors wanted to pick up some gifts or souvenirs before or after the meals. The gift shop has some items is made for Bodega Bay only, and some items are same as any other souvenir shop in the other locations. But it is not that many items I can see there is just for Bodega Bay only! The store is not very organized. Some items seems should be next together was in the other side of the store. Some items are looks old or damaged is still on the shelves! The lightings is also not very good. Some items will looks much more presentable with good lighting. This could be the reason of not many comparator in the area. But I'm sure they'll have more business if they have better lightings and more item specially made for the Bodega Bay Area. read more

This is a cute shop to check out if you're looking for something to bring back with you to remind you of your times in the area. I loved the selection of seashells, starfish, etc and the glass ceramic coasters and little trinkets. I ended up buying a few coasters because they reminded me of the one I had from Anthropologie. Across from the shop is a little grocery store and in the back of the building there's a restaurant/bar that I believe is known for their oysters. The parking lot is huge and we didn't have a problem finding parking, but I would say it did look like every spot was taken thereafter. Sign outside says no dogs allowed, however we saw several people bring in dogs. read more

Neat gift shop filled with the standard souvenir touristy stuff. Plus like any good reputable gift shop, they carry "Bodega Bay" branded magnets, cups, clothes and other kitschy stuff. They also sell art (jewelry, prints, paintings, scarves, tiles...) from local artists. They even have a penny souvenir machine. The gift shop is located in a complex shared with the Tides restaurant and gourmet deli. They have a huge spacious parking lot for Bodega Bay standards. The complex has public restrooms and a public indoor area with tables and a window view of the bay. Right outside is an outdoor public area with picnic tables that are free to the public. Just watch out for stubborn sea birds eyeballing you for your food. But no outside food is allowed on the premise- inside and outside the building. They have tons of posted signs stating that. Outside around the building is an area displaying a whale jawbone and 19th century whaling pot. Pretty neat. I recommend stopping in to this tourist trap. Go check out the merchandise, artifacts and the beautiful views of the bay. read more

We always find the best stuff in this gift shop. Never leave empty handed. They have clothing, toys, shells, jewelry and home accessories.

Too bad my experience in theTides gift shop in Bodega Bay was made unpleasant by the sales personnel in the shop. They have a nice collection of merchandise, but the customer service is really lacking, in both answering questions or assistance with merchandise. They were too busy dusting merchandise or being openly unhappy about packing a glass Christmas tree back into it's original box for me. I'm really questioning if spending $100 in the shop was wise, since clearly they aren't interested in making sales. To be fair, one of the three sales staff was helpful. A while back we had a mommy daughter day spent in Bodega Bay and stopped by The Tides Wharf Gift Shop on our way home after soaking up the sights and sounds of a few beaches. It is located right across from a restaurant boasting world renowned wines and locally fresh seafood. Although it was super packed and busy inside, we managed to browse a bit before settling on a wind up submarine and a stuffed mermaid. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that's expected being Bodega Bay is such a touristy spot. They have a ton of local knick knacks to choose from if you aren't too overwhelmed with the crowds. Jaqueline was our cashier and she managed a bit of small talk while we were checking out. If we are in the area in the future we will stop by again and maybe even try the restaurant. read more

I love playing tourist but there has to be a place better than this to buy things that you really don't need. I picked up a cheap-feeling baseball cap for my husband and the cheapest "Bodego Bay" magnet I could find and about fell over dead when the girl rang it up and told me $36. Are you *&#!* crazy?? I was hard pressed to even find something worthwhile for someone who isn't into tacky shells and 80s style tshirts. I appreciate the fact that things are marked up for profit, blah blah blah, but this place was downright painful. read more

This is one of my favorite stores to visit when I am in Bodega Bay. They have so many things to buy there. From clothes, jewelry, plates and kitchen accessories, collectibles, shells, and candy. The list goes on and on. I got a really nice sweatshirt it was a little pricey but its hooded and really cute. I collect glass animals and I found a cat, and a crow. They are both so cute. The salt water taffy is delicious and there are so many different shells to choose from. My mom purchased a really beautiful wind chime. The staff was friendly, she was the only one working and seemed like she may have been a little stressed. They also have a smashed penny machine out front. I collect them so I was very excited. 3 stars at best... mostly because of their very poor quality & bland salt water taffy. We are from Oregon and go to Cannon Beach where they have a (nicer and more classy) place called Bruce's Candy Kitchen. The taffy there is made on sight and is TOTALLY awesome, fresh and very flavorful! Sorry to have to compare but if this place was the same we would let ya know. It's not, needs some up keep and I sincerely advise another taffy source. Not going back. read more

What the hell? Why is everything such a rip off here? I like to collect magnets from places my boyfriend and I visit, but hell no was I going to pay $7+ for a magnet less than an inch by inch in size. The dried shells and beach paraphernalia are also incredibly expensive, and I doubt that they are authentic. The cheapest thing I could find, thank jebus, was a "The Tides Inn, Bodega Bay" mug for only $4.99. The old ladies working the counter are nice, but kind of give you the eye as you are shopping around. This is the only place you can really buy souvenirs in Bodega though so I guess that's why it's so expensive. read more
