What's not to like?! this place is a legend! Ok, I do miss when all taffy was by the pound and you could pick a mix of any taffy you want but other than that it's a fun well known in the area candy store. If you don't know this is the pink and white taffy shop on Bodega HWY. it's been there my whole life that I remember and prolly long before that. The service is never bad but also never anything great or memorable that I remember. I go here for the taffy and nostalgia and will Always have to stop here when I'm in the area.

Every type of salt water taffy that you could imagine, all in one place! The servers were friendly, and the location and beach front ambiance certainly makes it part of the fun. :)

We used to live in Sebastopol, Ca. and we would go to Bodega Bay, and our stop would be at Patrick's and get a big bag of saltwater taffy to take home. They have the best selection. Since then, we have moved to Klamath Falls, Or. and missed going there. I was so happy to find out that they would send them through mail, so I have order us some.

Cute spot in Bodega. Super small shop. It has a max capacity of 8 people. It felt a little claustrophobic and the trinkets for sale on the wall made the small space feel even smaller. The taffy is a good price though. This business also owns the gift shop just across the way.

The "salt water taffy" sign caught our eye as we were driving by, and the spacious parking lot made it convenient to make a stop on a Saturday afternoon after attending a festival nearby. Got an assorted bag of these sweet treats, a couple of the taffy pieces were not so fresh and chewy, but most of them were good. They offer more than just salt water taffy here, they have stuffed animals, t-shirts, various souvenirs, and chocolate! I, of course, got myself some chocolove, extra strong dark chocolate, with a sweet love poem inside the candy bar wrapper. Yummy! Service was standard, no waits, no problems. And the shop is really cute, and definitely cozy inside, situated right along the water in Bodega Bay.

A friend had us stop here and I'm so glad we did. So many choices - I haven't had taffy in years and year - had to be careful not to get it stuck in my teeth but yummy and fun.

Patrick's is a sweet lover's paradise! Their saltwater taffy is fresh, chewy, and comes in a variety of delicious flavors with decent prices. The shop has a fun, nostalgic vibe, and the staff is friendly.

.....I got a little carried away LOL picked 10 different varieties :')

I don't remember the last time I had taffy (maybe 7+ years ago.....?). Just haven't really had another chance to come across it for a really long time. So, you can imagine how thrilled I was to see so many different taffy flavors here lol. Was planning to choose 5 flavors in mini bags but ended up with 10 (and even then I wanted more but enough was enough). Got some of my go-to ones like Neapolitan and passion fruit. Nicest surprise out of the bunch that I got was the cookies and cream one (like a Tootsie Roll but with more milk taste). Least favorite one was the red velvet one (idk it just didn't taste like red velvet to me.....more like a weirdly tasting cream cheese frosting if anything lol). Very cute small taffy shack. The cashier lady was really friendly. The mini bags, 4 oz bags that contain roughly 13 taffy pieces, are $1.75 each. Of course there are much bigger bags for the ultimate taffy fans. Definitely check this place out for your taffy craving!

Such a charming little landmark! Located right on CA Hwy 1 in Bodega Bay. It's the go to and frankly only place to get some great taffy which lots of flavors to choose from. They also have other candy and Knick knacks. I picked up way too much taffy and I'm still eating it since I visited over a month ago. The inside is small, but there's not much to look at so you can make a quick pit stop on your way in or out of town. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

    Awesome selection

Can't recommend Patrick's enough! Big selection of fresh and soft saltwater taffy to pick from, and more candy too. Cute shirts and souvenirs in here too, check it out on the side of the 1 next time you're in Bodega Bay! Awesome spot

A MUST try when you stop in Bodega Bay. Every time, I head to the beach, on our return home, I swing by Patrick's to pick up a bag or two of their mixed Salt Water Taffy's. This time we picked up a few retro candies and bags of specific flavors of taffy (cotton candy, licorice, and watermelon). Very delicious taffy!! Patrick's is a combination of gift shop and candy store. They have Bodega Bay swag like T-shirts, Hoodies, Sweaters, Wind Chimes, Postcards, Stuffed Animals, Keychains, Memorabilia items. It's just an iconic cute little candy store by the beach and so nostalgic.

    Tons of taffy!

I reviewed this place 9 years ago, and still stands true today. Freshest salt water taffy around, hands down! Staff is always friendly, largest variety of flavors and the prices are way cheaper than any other place that sells taffy. I'm mailing some to NY and MI to my friends. Patrick's is the BEST!

Two bags of taffy in temporary storage as part of my parents anniversary present.

I passed Patrick's of Bodega Bay a number of times on my way north exploring California coastal areas on Highway from 2016 to 2019. In mid-August 2019, I stopped and got a few bags of saltwater taffy. My parents had their wedding anniversary about a week later and visited me, so I gave them each a bag then as part of their present. The taffy was tasty and not too tough on my teeth. It held up just fine through my parents finishing eating it as well.

Very likely the best saltwater taffy I've had. Freshness-wise and flavor-wise. Hope I can order it online.

Ask the Community - Patrick's of Bodega Bay

Are the individual flavors still packaged in little bags. I would like to try like one of a couple flavors so is that possible yet?

Mostly mixed, but they will put together what you want. Depends on what is on-hand when you are ordering. And, if on a weekend, it might be too crowded for them to customize for you. Suggest you order ahead, so they have time to put it together…

Does anyone know where the taffy is made?

According to whoever was working on June 18, 2024, they order their taffy from a maker in Salt Lake City, UT.

One thing I find frustrating about a lot of gift shops in 2026 is that they all seem to carry exactly the same trinkets, presumably mass-produced internationally and then stamped with local names. Having worked in and visited so many parks over the past few years, I can't help but notice how uniform and un-original the souvenirs are becoming. So, it is really refreshing to step into a gift shop that has an eclectic, unique, fun selection of reasonably-priced gifts that you would be unlikely to find anywhere else. While the merchandise at Harbor View Gifts was not necessarily bougie or locally made, it was definitely different from what you would find in Every State Park. The cashier who helped me was very friendly. As a bonus, this gift shop is located literally right on the edge of the bay. The parking lot could double as a great picnic spot. I ended up leaving with a Bodega Bay squid magnet and a small bag of taffy, which I assume was from the little taffy shop in the parking lot. The taffy alone would have been worth the stop, since it was as good as the taffy from my favorite taffy place, Candy Heaven in Sacramento.

I've learned the hard way. It's better to call to make sure they're not out of stock or something that you really want. Krystal is the person who answered the phone. She was really friendly and really nice. Very helpful with information and I said I'll see you in a little bit to get some ice cream. I went down there and they had a excellent variety of flavors. I tasted several flavors and landed on strawberry. I was in the mood for it. OK that was my second choice actually I'm gonna be honest there was a mint chocolate chip that they just ran out of, but they had enough to give me a little taste sample and OMG when they get more in stock, I'm gonna go get some. It's rare when they run out of stock completely but it happens that's life I saw how Khystal was with several customers and dad went in there with his three-year-old daughter and I was like yeah you know please go ahead and help them. I'm not in a rush so she was kind of juggling and then there was too like 12 or 13 years old, but she was helping these customers while helping me and that's OK so I settled on strawberry and it tasted really great.
