This used to be a great place but has substantially devalued itself over three different owners since we first started. The most recent visit to what is now called "Candy something or another", where the shelves were void of much that used to be and the prices sky rocketed. The place has the same vibe but clearly, by listening to patrons, wafting with disapointed. We bought our candy but won't be back and will be ordering our wants elsewhere. The choices were limited and prices too high. We wish the new owners, as of Thanksgiving 2025, the best. read more

Cravin's Candy Emporium in Petaluma is a sweet little stop that never disappoints. Pure nostalgia for me and magic for our youngest, who's infatuated with their chocolate rocks thanks to a YouTuber she follows (is it real or is it chocolate). We're actual kids in a candy store the moment we step inside. It's become a must-visit whenever we're in the plaza for Sol Food. Parking around the square is fairly easy, staff are helpful with any questions, and the shop itself is a delight, filled with everything from throwback treats to trendy toys. Stop by during the holidays for seasonal candies and fun decor. Pricey but so much fun. read more

Probably the most extensive candy/treat shop I have ever been to. Super cute ambiance , well stocked with everything from hard candy, old favorites, new candies, gelato, chocolate, and even special sodas. I spent about 20 minutes walking through this shop however I only ended up buying a small bag of salt water taffy which was delicious. If you have a sweet tooth check out this fun shop for some delectable goodies. read more

Cravin's is a candy wonderland for kiddos. There seems to be almost any candy one could ever hope for here and a lot of fun toys and thingamabobs too! Best of all we brought one of my candy loving nephews and he had the very best time and even enjoyed a bit of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory playing at the mini movie studio right in the middle of the store with his mom for a bit. Truly one of the most special and magical candy emporiums in the world! read more

Absolutely zero customer service. Two people working, no one in the store. No hello, nothing.I had to ask for items I wanted. Oh my goodness, what a crazy cool flashback to the olden days or what Willy Wonka's dreams were made out of! Down in Campbell there was a classic candy shop just like this, rocket fizz till sadly, it shut down during the pandemic. There was another classic candy store like this in Mountain View, but I've never found one up in Petaluma!! There were two young teenagers working at this particular place, and they were friendly and greeted me at the door. The ambience of this classic candy shop were impeccable! I loved all the different assorted candies as well as some seasonal things they offered, and the iconic movie theater seats were so cute with Willy Wonka playing in the background it was just adorable!! Plus my boyfriend, and I were waiting for our take out food from Sol Food, so it was perfect place to get dessert and some snacks to watch Netflix at home!! I will definitely be back here again!! read more

You would think there is nothing more happy and jolly than a candy store, right? Well, I'm knocking a star off for their service or maybe rather lack thereof. They have a big sign by the ice cream, advertising their "birthday club" but---guess what--they would not let you sign up for the birthday club on the day of your birthday. It had to be "in advance"--no specifics given on that. I think the staff member just made this excuse up on the fly because she didn't really want to take any kind of extra step. Really, the three staff members seemed more interested in gossiping behind the counter than being helpful. If you want your sugar high there is nothing wrong with this store. It's cute, it's overloaded with sweets and retro sweets, and about as overpriced as you would expect such a store to be. But don't come for the service. read more

We were totally surprised by how good the ice cream is at Cravin's! Some of the most richly flavorful ice cream we've had. I had half and half mango sorbet and limoncello ice cream. Both just had so much flavor-- delicious. My husband had peanut butter/chocolate and some kind of chocolate caramel thing--also really flavorful. The only other time we've had anything that flavorful at a ice cream shop was good gelato in Italy. Also, Cravin's had NECCO wafers in stock, my favorite. read more

Spectacular little new candy store to the previously empty spot, the one spot that has been notoriously always a candy store location for many years. This new store is just as -- if not more -- inviting as the previous candy stores. I like to pop in on a stroll from time to time from where I live downtown, and get something to drink out of their fridge of sodas (of which are quite the variety! many interesting flavors.) They always offer to open my drink. Friendly staff, super cheerful always! Even in the downtimes when I have been in there they always keep it exciting and give excellent service.
