We are so happy we stepped into The Tile Shop. We worked with Criss and could not be happier. He was kind and so helpful. We were updating a primary bath, but not getting new floors, so it was important to find shower and tub materials that worked with our existing floors. Criss is so familiar with their stock and has such a good eye. He immediately pulled several suggestions and we liked them all! We were able to take large samples home to see how they worked. Once we chose the tile, he helped us select the shower flooring, trim, and even the grout color! As soon as this project is done, we plan on heading right back to The Tile Shop, asking for Criss and finishing two more bathrooms. Went into the PHX location, really just to get one tile (take it home to see if it would work; only saw it online). Criss was there from the Scottsdale store and was amazing! He took us over to the tile, showed us the L samples (the strips sometimes used to frame or finish the edge), and then he asked what we were using this tile with. I let him know I had samples coming from HD, and he asked if he could show us some options that were probably less- he must have pulled at least 6-7 grays, laid them next to our other tile and helped us decide (he has a great eye), and was just so pleasant to work with. Accused me of already picking up (aka stealing) the tile I didn't pick up yet...2. Was so incredibly rude for ZERO reason 3. Could have literally cared less if we helped. The Tile Shop in Phoenix had such pleasant music and made it easy to look around, this one on Hayden is ridiculous. I will drive to another location before I would ever go back to this store. The place is located near the Scottsdale air park. Huge showroom full of tiles of various materials. Staff were masked and helpful. We described what we wanted to look at and staff directed and walked us to the area. Now we are a bit smarter in tile work. There are also small showrooms of special bathrooms. The Tile Shop has a largr selection. I enjoyed experiencing their huge showroom. They had so many beautiful options for flooring, bath, backsplashes, counters and more. They had more full bathroom and kitchen displays to inspire ideas than I have ever seen anywhere. Though they didn't offer what we were looking for we will be back. Would like to add a backsplash in the kitchen and an accent wall in one of our bathrooms. read more

sadly, the tile shop is very dependent on who you talk to in the store. We had great help when we went in to pick our tile options and it was downhill after that- when I went back to return my samples, I was asked if the project worked out, and I said no and the receptionist said oh that's good, guess they didn't want our sale. I thought maybe she had not heard me correctly so I tried to sort of bring it up again as to why we didn't buy tile from them and she basically brushed me off. A little Customer Service would've gone a long way and made the sale. read more

Grateful is not a strong enough word for finding The Tile Shop in Scottsdale. I have been to them all. Yes, from Prescott all the way down to Phoenix, Tempe, Gilbert, and yes... down to Tucson looking for just the right tile. Sure other places have tile, however, the selection of tile is incredible and well displayed at The Tile Shop in Scottsdale. Something else those "other" places are lacking... customer service. Couldn't get any better... right? Wrong... The Tile Shop in Scottsdale has the best customer service in the industry. I do not say or offer this praise lightly. It started out with "Mike Wilke". He took the time to explain every question and was more than happy to go into details that would help my project flourish. It doesn't end there by a long shot. The store manager, Samatha Wicker... took the hours necessary to explain questions I couldn't even think of. She walked me through my entire project and offered me advice and guidance... on grout's, floor tile, how to make my contractor work for me by reminding me I was the customer, what to expect out of a project, and the list goes on and on for how she helped me. Do yourself and your home a favor by making The Tile Shop in Scottsdale your first stop. Tell them I told you to stop by... because they will remember me because when you shop there... you become a part of a great family. Buyer be ware! The selection is average, the service is horrible! We took a few samples for a kitchen project and we charged for the samples and we were told the amount would be refunded when we returned the samples. 4 hours later when we returned the samples, we were told there was a problem with the refund and we would need to wait for the manager to become available. Interesting... no problem with taking the money, but a big problem to refund the money. In fairness, I felt sorry for the sales person ((Steve) who was clearly embarrassed by the helpless position he was in. Long story short, we eventually did get the refund from the manager, but it cost them a large sale. I'm all about customer service and this place just doesn't have it. read more

Worst customer service! I tried returning tile which the contractor forgot to use. The original rep had told me it was ok to take it back. Even if it was after the time frame ( by only a few days) and they would not refund my credit card. When I asked to speak to a manager he would not come out. The new rep had to go back and forth like a car salesman. To many other places with better product and better customer service. Done waste your money here. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I am a decorator here in the valley and I brought a client into The Tile Shop. My client selected the tile from the floor samples and brought it home to make sure it would flow with her existing tile floor. The sample had a sheen which flowed with the existing tile so my client ordered it and had it installed then immediately realized something was wrong. The tile that was installed had no sheen at all but the sample she ordered it from did have a sheen. The tile shop admitted the problem but wouldn't cover the cost to have a sheen put on the tile. It cost my client $2,400 to have a company come in to add a sheen. The Tile Shop should have paid for that! I will never again do business with this company. They do not stand by their product. read more

Meh. The tile selection is fairly extensive but their to-be-wowed displays for home - baths, kitchens, etc. - were installed with cracked tiles (oops). More important, their sales people can be pretty 'brioche-y.' I guess they think that makes them more exclusive? The younger sales people are nice but maybe the elders are wearing on them? I think they should throw a party and get some life in that place; it's pretty cold and soulless. read more

I waited and even called for a follow up today after you stated last week that we would receive a status on when we should expect our tiles to arrive this week. To no avail, no call no follow up and you have caused a delay to our home renovation. If this is how your company operates, I'm more than happy to inform any of your future buyers to rethink what type of company they're dealing with. So you know what. My house was complete in January. Now the tile has started cracking so we are back to square on. Going through this damn mess again. All I have to say is this. Patterson remodeling has been OUTSTANDING. IT wasn't their fault it was THE TILE SHOP fault. The Tile had cracked glass inside of it which was beautiful. However the glass started popping out. Patterson is doing that tile over at no cost to me. The TILE SHOP is giving replacing the tile however has not even asked to compensate me or Patterson for labor and materials for all the demo or replacement. They are still selling this crappy tile and all Jason with the tile shop said is I'm empathize with you. Sorry Charlie that doesn't give me any comfort. Ive had no working shows for 5 days. So I'm advising no one but tile from this company but will always recommend PATTERSON REMODELING as they are truly professional and stand behind their work even though the TILE SHOP refuses to make this right.
