The Tilted Kiln is such a fun place to be creative! My family and I painted premade ceramics and had an awesome time. There are so many options to choose from, including a Holiday section. Once we decided what we were going to paint, we had a small tutorial from the employees. Not only were the employees friendly and informative, they were more than willing to listen to my vision of what I wanted (ombre) and helped me pick out the right colors I was asking for. They have the paint samples on tiles, so you can see exactly what color it will turn out looking like when it's done, which was really helpful in finding the right paint color. Time flew by and I can't believe the 2 hours we were there ended so quickly. It was a fun environment and a place I would recommend for all ages and skill sets. read more

The Tilted Kiln is fun for the whole family! I have an 8, 6 and 3 year old plus my husband, SIL and MIL came too. We all had projects ranging from piggy banks to actual tea pot sets. It was easy to pick out your project, paint it and then leave for a few days. My kids loved it and are already taking about going again. We came down from northern utah to celebrate my mom's birthday and she requested and afternoon at the Tilted Kiln. It was WONDERFUL!! There was something for everyone! The most cautious members of our group headed for the pairing room and came away pleased with their creations. The more adventurous ones for dirty at the wheels-but we ALL came away feeling proud of what we had made. Joseph, the owner is wonderful! He was available to answer all of our questions (no matter how silly) and checked in on us frequently. The whole atmosphere of the Tilted Kiln is a welcoming, warm, inviting place to create. I wish we had something similar closer to home! P.S. the pricing and quality of supplies was outstanding as well. Absolutely the best place to chill out and paint ceramics. If they don't have exactly what you want as far as ceramic item, they'll order it for you. Owners are great people who love to help you figure things out and answer any questions. You can also order special paints if you see something you like on the samples. I really enjoy going there.....it's the best therapy ever and I get to make a gift for family or friends at the same time. Great for kids of all ages as long as they can hold a paint brush.
