I texted while on the phone. Confirmed receipt. I'm geeked. I've scheduled things to do in Sun Prairie to fill my day so I don't have to worry about being dropped off or returning to get the car. * Block myself off work calendar * Booked an interview for the day after the car detailing. I called Sunday, 2 days before the scheduled appointment to confirm and ensure what payments are taken so I can get cash if cards are not accepted. * Still not worried. Just figure he'll text eventually. Got the voice mail. Sent a text asking above and confirming the Tuesday appointment. Tuesday morning at 8am I call.... voice mail is full. I text to confirm "Are we still on?" Before driving way out to Sun P. * Well, maybe he's overslept. So, when he calls back I'll drive over. Rework my calendar. Check my text history and realize in the 3 weeks since calling to book. Confirming via texts and following up... checking Google maps to see the building. Confirming the 36m one way drive... I've been blown off or stood up or something but l proceed to call around town for prices and availability. Even completed the Yelp "get a quote." I'm actually more hurt than bothered. I was excited. It's a small business. I don't want to go to the big guys and always want to patronize the startups as I get it. The fact I took out cash & a tip is doing a lot. Emptied the car so no one has to worry what to keep and what goes. The day has passed. No follow up calls nor texts. I Create the page for Yelp. Maybe Yelp won't take it down in a few months or years. Maybe the owner will be contacted about this review and remember me. Hear me, in earnest, then expand the business. Maybe the owner will think 2 stars is offensive then recall... it was a no call, no show. Here's to growing a business.

Precision Automotive Service has earned my business with all my vehicles permanently!!! During a…read moreroutine oil change, I was told by a "big box" automotive establishment that I needed a new wheel bearing on my vehicle along with a new tie rod, which would then mean the car would also need aligned. The quote was nearly $1,000. They also told me I needed a completely new exhaust... $$$! So, only living here in the Madison area a short time and not really knowing many people, I decided to see who else was around. I sent ten yelp requests for an estimate to local auto shops looking to get only the wheel bearing replaced on my car. I received five responses within a few days. Two told me cost with labor would be $500-$650 and two said they really "needed" to get my car in their shops and "up on a lift" to give me a price. The fifth response was Chris from Precision Automotive. Chris responded right away within a few hours, and a full day before the others, with a detailed estimate of the repair which would get me out the door for almost half what the other two quoted me! So, there's no doubt where I chose. Upon leaving my car, I asked Chris to take a look at my tie rods and my exhaust. Not only did Precision live up to their quote, they told me that my tie rod was completely fine and did not need replaced and that an alignment was not necessary, only misdiagnosed due to the bearing being bad and the inexperience of proper diagnosis. Chris also told me that I didn't need a complete exhaust replacement, only that the pipe before my muffler had a hole in it and that was all that needed replaced and could be done for a tiny fraction of what I was quoted. So, not only did Precision get me out the door for nearly half the next best quote, they saved me from three unnecessary repairs! And not only did they do that, they got me to work (twenty minutes away) and back by lunch with the repair completed and my car ready to go! Before I drove away, I asked for a quote on a new front control arm needed for my mini-van and Chris, without hesitation, quoted me half what I was told at another locally owned auto shop! As I drove away, I noticed that my car wasn't making any grinding noises, the steering wheel wasn't vibrating and had no additional play, and my car wasn't pulling to the side when I broke! My car drove perfectly again. Precision went above and beyond, not only with pricing and a sound repair, but with customer service and honesty. They have earned my business and my loyalty. Moral of the story... I won't take my cars anywhere else again, and I absolutely and very highly recommend them for any service you need on yours!

Being disabled & on limited income we needed someone to inspect the Jeep to know if it was safe to drive. Honesty is critical for vehicles when you are traveling on highways with your loved ones. We bought 5 vehicles during my marriage at 1 dealership where we experienced being lied to learning that dealership was telling us our jeep needed a new part that a second opinion told us that was not true. My neighbor told us of their mechanic being honest & not overcharging shared people were driving from other States to have him work on their vehicle. We learned their mechanic quit working for this same dealership but he was at their Madison Dealership shared with us he ethically & morally quit because this dealership owner was charging customers for repairs they did not need to keep money coming in to pay his payroll expenses validated our experience at this owner's second site scared us. In 1991, I went to AMS to have a stereo put in my 1982 Celica. Got a nice one with two sets of…read morespeakers, an amplifier and a subwoofer. An installer named Paul put in the system. In 2010, I needed an alarm for my new car so I went to AMS. I walked in and saw that Paul was still there. He remembered me and described the stereo he put in my car nineteen years earlier. My new car needed a stereo too. Before discussing any upgrades to my stereo, he had one of his installers find out what my factory stereo had for outputs. He then helped me pick out an alarm system and came up with a stereo that would use my factory head unit and CD player. We picked out a four channel JL Audio amp to power 6.5 inch JL Audio separates in the doors and two channels would get bridged to power a JL Audio subwoofer in the trunk. That system got me through thirteen years without a problem, but it was time to upgrade. An annoying noise on the passenger side was bothering me for two years, so I took the door panels off, but I couldn't find it. When I came in for the speakers and alarm installation, Paul's installer, Jeff put my doors back together when he installed the new speakers. I didn't tell Paul about the noise till I picked up my car. Paul offered to go for a ride with me to find out what it was. He noticed a loose piece of trim on the passenger side of the sunroof. In the parking lot, he took apart the sunroof trim and put it back together. The noise is gone and I am way happier to listen to my stereo without that distraction. Paul is now the president and owner of AMS. If you want to upgrade your stereo or start from scratch with a completely new alarm and stereo, go to AMS and they will help you. A few years down the road, they will remember you like Paul remembered me.
