This place is a hidden gem. Happened upon it when searching for a breakfast spot while visiting the area. It's in such a quiet, tucked away spot, we almost missed it. When we got there, we were the only ones in the dining room. We had the amazing server/hostess/owner all to ourselves. This Cafe is located in the Estates of Fort Lauderdale clubhouse building. Plenty of parking when I arrived on a 50° Saturday morning at 9:30. Inside was small, cozy and intimate. The employees were all friendly and most patrons were greeted by name. I had ordered the egg benedict with potatoes which tasted great. Not to small or large in portions. I'll be back to try other breakfast plates. They do serve lunch at 11:30. read more

We got 2 entrees and 1 side: Lighthouse Egg Sandwich $10.50 I got it on a toasted kaiser roll and it was great! It comes with a fried egg, a sausage patty, and a slice of cheese. They make all their food fresh and you can tell because it came out sizzling, like it was fresh off the grill. Looked on yelp to find a place for brunch. Came across this and it indicated it was in an unassuming mobile home park, but that it was delicious. As far as brunch goes, I mean, I would consider it more breakfast food, but it was delicious. Everything was perfectly made. I'm really not a big fan of poached eggs and I really do prefer egg whites and to have them done a little bit more but if you enjoy poached eggs, the purgatory dish I had with the marinara was definitely tasty and well done. The 222 that my partner had had a little bit of everything on the French toast made with challah was delicious. Their drinks are limited so if you're looking for anything special for brunch, this would not be the place for beverages I would definitely recommend this again. The only off thing I could say for sure is the bathroom. You have to walk just to get to it not too far, but it was very, very, very hot and stuffy and I had to use the restroom and I felt very dizzy from the heat inside the restroom. read more

What a surprisingly off the main road find! The inside is pretty small, but the service and the food were top notch. We ordered the deluxe omelette and French toast with a side of bacon that were scrumptious! The French toast was so good, I want to go back for more. We have been many times and its always great. We live in NC and travel down to Florida occasionally and eat at the lighthouse Cafe when we stop by. Sometimes more than once! It is just as good as the last time we remember and I dont expect that to change anytime soon!!! One of our favorite things we like to get is the breakfast potatoes with onions. Its a must have for any visit breakfast or lunch. The decor for the Cafe is also very charming with little lighthouses along the windows and pictures of the restaurants patrons on the wall. read more

However, be advised that they have a policy that if you have a party of 5 or more you are required to make a reservation 24 hours in advance even if they are 7 of the 8 tables empty during prime time. Purchases food there, said it was to go, it started raining as I was walking back to the beach. I asked if I could eat my food there and was told no, that their policy says food to go has to be eaten off the premises. I asked where it said that and it was in an 8x12 frame with tiny letters. Every other sign at this place is posted on the walls with big letters. I would understand if the place was full and people were waiting to be seated, but it was empty and I had also left a tip, for drive thru/walk thru food.
