This small cafe is a most! Food is cooked fresh and staff is very friendly. It is a hidden gem! We have been here a few times and each time we all try something new.

**Absolutely Outstanding - Best Breakfast & Lunch in South Florida!** I finally made it to **The New Lighthouse Caffe** and wow -- what a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, the place feels bright, welcoming, and genuinely cozy, like a little slice of Italy meets a sunny Florida café. The breakfast menu is phenomenal -- everything is made fresh with high-quality ingredients and so much care. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the French Toast were fluffy and flavorful, and their omelettes and Benedicts are next-level delicious. We also tried lunch items and were equally impressed: hearty portions, beautiful presentation, and flavors that taste like they came straight from a family kitchen. What truly sets this place apart is **Chef Carlo** and **Lise**. Chef Carlo (a true Italian master with over 40 years of experience) pours his heart into every plate, and you can taste the passion and skill in every bite. Lise is incredibly warm and attentive -- they both make you feel like family from the very first visit. Whether you're stopping in for a relaxed breakfast (served all day!), a satisfying lunch, or just a perfect cup of coffee and a slice of that legendary cake, this is the spot. Friendly service, spotless restaurant, and food that keeps you coming back. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You'll leave smiling, full, and already planning your next visit. Thank you, Chef Carlo and Lise -- keep doing what you do so beautifully! Highly, highly recommend!

Wonderful little cafe for breakfast! Friendly staff, quick service and delicious food! They really have great french toast with berries, and the 2x2x2 was wonderful. Sausage was a delicious surprise.

This Cafe is located in the Estates of Fort Lauderdale clubhouse building. Plenty of parking when I arrived on a 50° Saturday morning at 9:30. Inside was small, cozy and intimate. The employees were all friendly and most patrons were greeted by name. I had ordered the egg benedict with potatoes which tasted great. Not to small or large in portions. I'll be back to try other breakfast plates. They do serve lunch at 11:30.

Looked on yelp to find a place for brunch. Came across this and it indicated it was in an unassuming mobile home park, but that it was delicious. As far as brunch goes, I mean, I would consider it more breakfast food, but it was delicious. Everything was perfectly made. I'm really not a big fan of poached eggs and I really do prefer egg whites and to have them done a little bit more but if you enjoy poached eggs, the purgatory dish I had with the marinara was definitely tasty and well done. The 222 that my partner had had a little bit of everything on the French toast made with challah was delicious. Their drinks are limited so if you're looking for anything special for brunch, this would not be the place for beverages I would definitely recommend this again. The only off thing I could say for sure is the bathroom. You have to walk just to get to it not too far, but it was very, very, very hot and stuffy and I had to use the restroom and I felt very dizzy from the heat inside the restroom.

The owners are super polite and it was a nice setting to dine in. It's a small, family owned diner with good prices and good food. We got 2 entrees and 1 side: Lighthouse Egg Sandwich $10.50 I got it on a toasted kaiser roll and it was great! It comes with a fried egg, a sausage patty, and a slice of cheese. They make all their food fresh and you can tell because it came out sizzling, like it was fresh off the grill. Personally, I didn't like the potato fries it came with but it was still a good meal. 8/10. Lighthouse French Toast: $9.75 We added berries to it and the presentation was lovely. The syrup they have is amazing. I would definitely recommend this to any first timers. 8/10 Bowl of Fruit: $5.99 Cantaloupe, Grapes, Strawberries, and Blueberries. Just an assortment of fresh fruit, nothing crazy.

    Highly recommend French Toast! Delicious!

What a surprisingly off the main road find! The inside is pretty small, but the service and the food were top notch. We ordered the deluxe omelette and French toast with a side of bacon that were scrumptious! The French toast was so good, I want to go back for more. The Coke products are refrigerated for a refreshing cold drink. The caffe is located in the Estates of Ft. Lauderdale mobile home park and the building is used as the main service center for the adorable community that first opened in 1979.

Super little cafe! FANTASTIC FOOD!!! Best-kept little secret diner I've eaten at in ages!! Dont let drive to it fool you (large residential & 'high-end' mobile home area....wondered if we had the wrong address! Its a clibhouse for the neighborhood (nice area, should be ok if you need to walk!). Owner is delightful, called as we were headed there about 1-1:30 & hoped they'd still serve, she said up until about 1:40 she'd still serve :o) Coke products, lunch & breakfast (bfast all day, they close at 2pm & are closed Mon-Tues). Fries were some of the best I've ever eaten. Crispy outside, not over greasy! Hubby's turkey club was divine looking & he ate every bite! My French toast was THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD (I'm 55!). Berries SO fresh & all cuts were clean & crisp (no mushy fruit parts!).

Everything we had was genuinely good and we'd definitely come back. First things first: the pancakes are HUGE. Seriously, if you're ordering one as a side, know that one pancake is easily enough for two people to share. We also tried the Secret Lemonade -- and for anyone wondering, "secret" basically means it's made in-house. It was fresh and tasty, but definitely on the sweeter side, so just be prepared if you don't typically like very sweet drinks. I ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich and really loved the flavor. The chicken was well seasoned, the biscuit was great, and overall it was delicious. My only small critique is that the portion feels a little small on its own, so I think it would be nice if it came with a side or something accompanying it. My husband is plant-based, and we appreciated that there was an option for him. He ordered the avocado toast along with a modified salad from the menu, which worked out well. Overall, solid spot with flavorful food.

Fluffy and sweet and not dry. Although I enjoyed my fried chicken biscuit enough to eat it all, it fell a tad short of my expectations. The biscuit and chicken were both lacking volume, the biscuit not fluffy enough and chicken not meaty enough. I couldn't pick it up without it all just crumbling apart. Menu claimed homemade biscuits, but maybe not made fresh that day? Chicken was wide but thin so every bite was just way too much breading and very salty. I would order something else next time. It's a teeny but charming restaurant that was packed when we got there. Luckily we were first on the list so got a table in 5 minutes. If there had been more people and a longer wait, downside is there's no room more than 2 people to stand and wait inside, and it was way too hot to have waited outside. Parking lot has plenty of space around back. All in all, it was a fun and cute spot to take my old folks for a family meal.

It was the sign underneath that read, "Too tired to cook today?" that made us take notice. Looking at the online menu we found that it was not only a who's who of Latin dishes of different nationalities, but they also served bar fare - chicken wings, burgers, quesadillas, etc. Not knowing what their specialty was, we never committed to it. But today was one of those days where we felt like something different and we took a chance. The gamble paid off big. The menu was all over the place, so not knowing what direction to go in, I addressed the waiter who was all too ready to help. He pointed me to some of his faves: the Bandeja Paisa, Lomo Saltado, and Ropa Vieja. I'd had my eye on the Lomo Saltado, a popular Peruvian stir fry dish. The Bandeja Paisa is Colombian, and the Ropa Vieja - Cuban. I asked him what the nationality of the ownership was, when he revealed it was Colombian. I was immediately skeptical of ordering the ropa vieja - being half Cuban, I could not fathom the idea of a Colombian-owned restaurant pulling this off. So Joe took one for the team there. The waiter assured me that everything he has tried has in fact been delectable. But hey, what else is he supposed to say? But no, he assured me these were not marketing words, but words of experience. So I went for the Lomo Saltado which was served with black beans and rice, and french fries. He didn't hesitate to vouch for the black beans... I think he sensed my Colombian skepticism. Joe had replaced his fries for sweet plantains, so I took his cue and substituted my fries for tostones. But, not before warning the waiter that I would be particularly particular about the quality of my favorite plantain dish. He gave me a confident nod - so I played along. Joe's dish came out a few seconds before mine, and being the impatient carnivore that I am, I (let's say borrowed) his ropa vieja before he had a chance to pick up his fork. I was very pleasantly surprised. On par with any old clothes I have tried at any Cuban restaurant... and even better than some, albeit in longer strands than I've experienced. However, extremely juicy, full of flavor and tender. Then came my Lomo. I'm a first-timer, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was fan-tastic. A bit charred outside with a juicy medium innard that cuts like butter, and to my relief, deceivingly tender. The lomo napped on a bed of sautée-charred veggies whose sweetness was a nicely balanced contrast to the savory meat. The black beans were definitely on point and seasoned with Colombian love. And those ten-ton-tostones!!! By far the thickest fried medallions I've had, but with a brutally loud crunch and still a real easy chew. And unlike John Travolta in a black T-Bird jacket, totally Greaseless. Often times, tostones of this variety are tough and as chewable as week-old yellow paper mache. Nope, these are some of the best tostones I've had in a couple of years. But by far the best of their kind. I also borrowed one of Joe's sweet plantations which once again left no trace of greased lightning and were rendered a perfect dark brown with a nice and plush sunshine yellow inside. The portions were more than generous and the price was comfortably modest. I expressed my deepest gratitude to our waiter for his patience and his spot on recommendations. He also swore by their burger which he had just sampled for the first time and which is made partly with Colombian chorizo and served with a side of chimichurri. Chorizo and chimichurri for little cha-ching.... I'm sure I'll be chowing on that real soon. Food Corner is a cornucopia of Latin influences, and so far, it's also a master of two of them. (We were too excited to take photos)
