Worst movers I've ever hired. They quoted $125/hr plus $25 gas. Then charged, $125/hr plus $300 labor. And $50 gas. Claiming they charge extra for washers and dryers and refrigerators. My original message mentioned refrigerator and nothing was mentioned about extra charges. They have no idea how to load a truck. Kept making mistakes in what they were told and how they did things. There were several times they could have mentioned extra charges or asked if I had any of those items. Was incredibly rude about the whole transaction. I've hired at least a dozen movers over the years and never had one add all those charges and never mention it or ask about those things. After being told I'd hire a lawyer, there was no response. read more

If you want just people to just move stuff, it's fine. You get what you pay for. Ended up with a deep scratch in a computer monitor and a dirty chair with dirt footprints on it. Was told they could move a 2 bedroom in one trip. That was false. Needed to make TWO trips which added an insane amount of time and racked up the cost. Not surprised. Also talked with them about bringing over the rest of a couch, which I was going to tip for, maybe just a 30-45 minute job. Then stopped replying to me once I mentioned damaged items. Like I said you get what you pay for. Can they "move" things? Sure. But you might want to invest in a professional moving team for a seamless and consistent experience. (Not to mention my dad who is over 60 was helping them and showing them how to do certain things they couldn't figure out) read more

Initially, he and TTM provided less auto-replies than other competitors, but their rate was very reasonable and once I inquired further they were very responsive. Jalen and Allan communicated with me beforehand to confirm and clarify all details and concerns, they arrived early and started promptly on the hour. They even beat me to the second location. There were no hidden fees and they were constantly looking for ways to help me as I tried to help them and also not get in their way too much. I made sure they got at least some water during the move and turns out I was moving to Allan's neighborhood. It was a very good neighborly welcome overall. If you want your furniture moved quickly, efficiently and without breaking PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE !! This move was my BIGGEST NIGHTMARE EVER!! I don't know how these guys have such good rating! These guys are unprofessional, slow and can't get the job done. Assembly disassembly of furniture is totally out of the question (we had to do it ourselves). They took 4hrs for a job which was supposed to take 1-1.5hrs. The job got done only because we helped as well!!! We had to literally disassemble the furniture load it in the truck & unload it as well like we were part of the crew. There were instances during the move when we were instructed to wrap the furniture with the clear wrap by the movers, or get things for them that they left behind instead of doing it themselves!! We also realized two chairs were missing at the end only to find out they were never loaded at the pickup place! We wanted to hire professionals so that the burden of moving is off of us but hiring them itself was a big burden on us!! We felt totally SCAMMED because these guys are NOT AT ALL equipped for the job! They didn't wrap any of our furniture and just left it in the rain because of which all of it was wet. I was very happy with the Town Movers when they moved me less than a year ago, so that was the reason I called them again. This time, I spent extra time to wrap up all my valuable items, and told them several times to pay attention to fragile pieces. The moving process ended up shattering the glass which was the top of my vanity desk, a very expensive piece. My heart shuttered with that glass. On top of that, Jay said he will pay for it, but actually added some fees (like tolls, which wasn't applicable to me, the moving happened in the city), and tried to charge me even more than the price he sent up front. I hope this review will serve as a reminder to be careful for things that people value because sometimes it's hard to replace them. And I hope this will serve as a reminder to be clear up front about all additional charges. I always tip greatly, but I'm sorry, this was very disappointing service. read more

Very good service! They were very quick to respond to my initial call. I sent them images of what needed to be removed and they were able to give a quote over the phone right away. We scheduled a removal haul for a few days out. There was a minor scheduling hiccup, but they were quick to update. The removal process was very quick and painless.
