He works for a family owned sawmill so he knows and understands first hand the great impact of making a conscious decision to seek out AMERICAN made products. This site helps you do that, plain and simple. I ordered the Roy Toy tree house and the big barn (similar to lincoln logs) for his nephews for Christmas. The experience was very pleasant. I called the site's phone number (three days before Christmas) and almost fell out of my chair when a live human actually answered the phone...there was NO recording asking you to press '0' for this and press '1' for that. In my book, that is almost extinct these days. The lady who answered the phone was also AMERICAN. When I told her how I procrastinated buying the nephews' Christmas gifts this year and that I was really hoping to get them on Christmas Eve (a Monday). She eagerly and physically went to retrieve the 2 canisters (of toys) to assure me they had them in stock and to not waste my money spending the extra $$ on "second day air" shipping because it was not necessarily guaranteed. She said that Priority mail should make it to my door and was a LOT less expensive and that if I placed the order now, she would make sure they went in the mail that same day (Friday). Well, I placed the order and thanked her for her time...3 days later, on Christmas Eve, the mailman knocked on our door with the toys! I was so excited that they arrived JUST IN TIME! (The best part) LAst but not least, the lady who took my order wrote a hand written note on the receipt saying "thanks for ordering from us, I hope these made it to your house on time". Call me old-fashioned, but to me it's the little things like that that mean soooo much these days!! I was so happy to have a great experience with this company and at the same time, ordering a product that was produced in the USA! My boyfriend buys the Texas Jeans and loves them, he has 2 pair for work and 2 pair he wears when we go out and about. I also ordered 3 books (2 for gifts) that Todd (the founder of the site) wrote about the significance of buying American made products...I'm very eager to sit down and read it when time allows me to :) Anytime I need something that this site sells, I will always try my best to spend the extra couple minutes to log on my computer or phone and order from them or any other company who can sell themselves as well as this company has. He…read morecharged me $200 just for 5 minutes of taking down a card reader that was so simple when it was time to install a new one, a random guy with a screw driver did it for me. Which is crazy because apparently he'll walk through things over the phone for free (which he absolutely could have done for me), so maybe he picks and chooses. And I came to him with a new project and even though it was a pretty straight forward gig (mostly just unscrewing, replacing a part, and alignment to clear an error) but refused saying that it was way too much work and he didn't have time. I then offered to pay for multiple trips or to fix only one instead (originally 3). He refused both, so clearly it wasn't about time. My supplier even said that was ridiculous and it was way more straightforward than what he was making it out to be (they sent instructional videos only totaling about 5-6 minutes). I sent him a screen shot asking if my suppliers were gaslighting me because clearly he saw something horrific that no one else can see. Instead of simply explaining what was wrong he ghosted me. It's disappointing because he apparently works on things much more complex than this. I later got a quote from another fix it place, showed them the video and they said it looked to be maybe 30-40 minutes per unit. Not to mention, later my dad ended up doing it and he did it as someone not knowledgeable in the field at all and it didn't take him long. He even said it was easy. Maybe if you have pinballs or something he's better , but claw machines?? I would recommend looking at other shops.
