Excellent authentic Trini food. Loved every bite. Drove 3 hrs to get it, was not disappointed.

The next best thing would be their curry goat or curry chicken with buss-up-shut roti.

Authentic Caribbean Flavors & Vegan Heaven!…read more Cocobreeze is hands-down the best Caribbean food in the Bay Area . Chef Ann is doing something special here--the oxtails are heavenly, the curry roti is amazing, and the portions are a nice size. I was blown away by the vegan options. Even the drinks are authentic they serve Mauby and Sorrel . Whether you dine in to feel the cozy Trinidadian vibes or order takeout, the hospitality is warm and the food is made with love . If you are going to drive to this location just be prepared to look for street parking and if you're a great driver, than parking will not be problem. When you walk in, you will order at a door instead of the window, but pay at the window with your card. We went there Valentine's Day, so the menu was super limited. Please also remember that all Caribbean dishes are different and that this is a Trinidadian food. Spicy beef & Chicken Curry patties - 10/10 honestly, flavor was THERE! Me and hubby LOVED the chicken curry. It was pieces of chicken and that was the big win for us. Calypso Brown Stew Chicken - 7/10 this was hubby's dish and didn't like how there wasn't enough stew added to the dish that's the only thing they wish they added more of. Oxtail and Jerk Chicken wings combo - 7/10 I didn't know it was chicken wings. If I knew that, I would have just ordered a whole plate of oxtails. I did have to add some salt and spice to my dish, but the proteins were falling off the bone, so that was a plus. Both plates came with a salad with pineapples and their own dressing, which I dipped everything in - LOL. If I could, I would buy the whole salad with a side of oxtails. Blueberry matcha lemonade - 10/10 if they had this in a LARGE, I would have bought 2 of them. I regret ordering just one because by the time I got home, it was DONE. Overall: 7/10 Presentation is super cute and the drink was a hitter. But in total our food came out to $78 dollars and a $15 dollar tip because I can respect the cooking. But I think charging for wings in your dishes for that amount is a bit too steep for me. I just know everyone's experience is going to be different, so I hope you get to try it out for yourself.

First of all, we came during an off-hour, around 3:30pm, and there was still a line to order at the counter. They provided complementary ice water from a dispenser outside with cups, which was really nice. Once we placed our orders, we stood outside with everyone else as the indoor area is pretty small with only limited counter seating at the window. We waited about 5 minutes to order and another 10-15 for our food. Most people set up camp on the tailgates of their cars in the parking lot, so we did the same. Pro tip: some people brought camping chairs and coolers to make it into a real tailgate, which I thought was really cool. - Pollo al horno: ordered the Large plate which came with generous portion of chicken, white rice, choice of fried garlic plantain or sweet plantain (or one of each), side of beans (choice of black or pink), and a side salad. Chicken was marinated very nicely and wasn't too dry. - Bistec encebollado: ordered the Large plate also which came with the same as above. Steak was cooked well and surprisingly tender enough to cut easily. Both plantains were good but I really liked the garlic one because it was different than the sweet plantains I'm used to. The Large plate portion sizes were huge! Although the price did reflect this, I think it was still worth for the amount of food given.

What really stood out to us was the consistency of the service. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel special from start to finish. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a great meal, great conversation, and actually feel taken care of. Restaurants can have good food, but places like Lita create an experience. Definitely one of the standout spots in Walnut Creek and well worth visiting again.

Atmosphere is modern with beautiful lighting and large windows that let in lots of natural light. Lots of ferns. Tropical. Decor lent itself to the Islandesque menu. We ordered wine for my husband and the Isle de Tigre for me. Later I had Cucumber Crush. Both were refreshing and original. We had Jerk Chicken & Coconut Braised Pork Belly tacos for starters. They were delicious. The Jerk Chicken was a standout! I had the Jerk Fillet of Salmon, my hubs had Lita's Steak Dinner. While dinner was delicious, next time we will get 2 Chicken Jerk Tacos each and a couple of craft cocktails and sit at the bar. Pricing is reasonable. We had two starters, 2 entrees, 2 drinks each. Bill with tip was $200.
