This is the best Thai food in east sac (if you consider river park, east sac) in my humble opinion. Great Koh Soi, and cashew nut chicken. Other amazing dishes as well, a great happy hour ($2 beer and discounted wine), and good prices. Highly recommend.

My co worker and I stopped by Coconut River Park for lunch since she has never been here before and wanted to check them out. We walk in are a greeted by a gentleman who says, we can pick anywhere to sit and he'll be right with us. I see a few signs throughout the restaurant if you check in on yelp you get $2.00 beer. I check in and our server brings us each a can of IPA! I'm definitely wasn't expecting that for $2.00 We order Coconut Shrimp for our appetizer my coworker ordered the sweet and sour chicken. I ordered the Seafood Tom Kha and Mango with sticky rice with coconut ice cream for my dessert. My coworker loved her sweet and sour chicken I tried it and it was actually really delicious with the fresh veggies and pineapple. My Tom Kha was so flavorful and the coconut broth was delicious. They were very generous with the seafood. I then get my Mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream. It was really good I just felt they were very stingy with the amount of sticky rice they give. The restaurant itself is pretty small and can accommodate an okay amount of indoor dining. It was definitely a packed house at lunch time and I am glad we got there right when they opened. I will definitely be back to try out other menu items. Coconut River Park did not disappoint.

The food is great! We enjoyed the fresh rolls with the peanut sauce. The fried rice had delicious pineapple and cashews in it. The drunken noodles was ordered with beef. It was very tasty! We sat inside and it seems like that they had a lot of take out orders.

Thai food is my favorite when it comes to dining out . This place was very promising at first .When we walked in we wanted to take a seat outside since weather was good . The guy handed me menu and told me to come back when I am ready to order . I left my husband and 6 month old outside and went back to order . Once I ordered this men charged me right the way , I paid in cash and thought for myself let's see how it will go and I'll leave a tip once we are done . Usually at the restaurant no one pays in advance for the food anyway ... food arrived shortly after . Papaya salad was good , down side only that iceberg salad were really bitter in that dish . My Pad Thai was good , I must say better then in a lot of other restaurant, it had a flavor and it came mild which was what I asked , too bad that I had to give it all to my husband since his pad sew came out completely burned . I am pretty sure it is easy to figure out at the kitchen that you destroyed the dish and do not bring it to the table . It tasted like charcoal and ofcause no one was eating it . Since we had a baby with us and not in the mood for conversation and didn't have time for them to remake it I was happy that I paid already and we just left . This is sad because I live near by and this place had good reviews. Next time I hope they will check on their food before serving it to people .

    The pineapple fried rice

I ordered the Pineapple rice it wasn't hot when it got to the table. The carrots were hard my fork could not piece them. The onions were cut too big so they over powered each bite. The chicken was dry and the flavor was lacking. The appetizer was really yucky. Made with old hard biter lettuce and tofu that hadn't been season before cutting it up and putting it in a wrap.

My friend and I were really excited to try Coconut River Park but unfortunately, it just didn't meet our expectations. We ordered the green curry with vegetables and tofu as well as drunken noodles with tofu ToGo. The green curry was pretty good. The curry itself was flavorful and there was ample protein in it. The noodles felt short for us. They were extremely bland and didn't taste like drunken noodles at all. The quantities they gave us were very reasonable for the price. Service was good as well! The restaurant itself has plenty of parking outside and a good amount of tables inside to seat people during busy lunch and dinner times. Maybe we'll try it again some other time!

The food was so fresh and flavorful! I tried the beef pad Thai and Thai basil fried rice and omggggg both were delicious and really hit the spot! I also had a glass of plum wine that was sweet, cool, and refreshing. Our server was nice even considering that she was the only person taking orders and in the front of the house. The space is small and cozy with simple decor. If you're coming with a larger group, it's probably a good idea to call ahead so they can make sure there's space. Bonus points for happy hour Monday through Friday until 6 PM most spots end earlier or don't offer it at all these days. Our food came out hot and in a good amount of time. Definitely worth a visit if you're in or near River Park.

I know that y'all have been raving about the coconut, and I can absolutely see why. This is their original location, located near SAC State University, if you blink, you just might miss it. It's in a strip center with a couple of other restaurants. The interior is Uber, casual, and the food is Uber. Tasty. Friends introduced me to this hotspot. Yes, it's a hotspot because their food is made fresh daily, and everything is made in house. It's like having your mom cook for you. I ordered the Thai tea, and it was so tasty that I found the bottom of the glass, a lot faster than I hoped I would. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken. Everything about the dish was pretty tasty. The yellow curry was very mellow, the vegetables, tender, and there is plenty of protein. Much more than I expected. I'm personally not a fan of thinly sliced chicken because I find it becomes too Overcooked. At least for me. It was delicious nonetheless. Service was impeccable, and the wait staff is really nice. I love that the curry comes with purple rice. Something that I've wanted to try, and I was so glad that I did. It's nutty, and simply delicious. I know most people would put some in their curry, but I enjoyed it as is Great spot, reasonably priced, and you definitely get your moneys worth! As I mentioned, it's pretty casual dining. It's a great place to meet up with friends, a casual date, or for that matter just bring the family !

SUCH HUGE PORTIONS!!!!! Omg, I ordered the silver noodle salad thinking it was a tiny portion, boy was I wrong! It was family sized for such a great price and the flavors were amazing. I love silver noodle salad and this one is definitely one of the best! The fried chicken was very crispy and tangy flavored. The pad Thai was cooked perfectly, chewy noods and not soggy at all. The drunken noodles was super spicy and flavored nicely. The staff was very attentive with refilling our waters and drinks and very friendly. Will definitely come back!!!

Ambience is great, don't be fooled by the fact that it's a local neighborhood out of the way from the freeway or J St. turn off from Cal State. It's yummy and delicious!

Visiting this location is always refreshing. It's bright and airy. The service is always very prompt and food fresh and delicious. On my recent visit I ordered Cream Cheese Wontons, Chicken wings and the Spicy Thai Salad. Everything was delicious.

Food was delicious and everything was flavored well - love the sauce pairings. Originally I thought the root was more like veggie tempura but is actually more of a fritter with a sauce. Very crispy. The Hai Yai Fried Chicken has a nice crispy outer skin, cuts really well - meat melts away from the bones, and the fat portion taste really good. The main con I want to call out here is based off how it cuts I thought the chicken meat inside would be very juicy - but is actually kind of dry. So docking points for the inside chicken meat portion. Really love the pandan sago coconut ice cream tho. Ice cream has actual coconut meat in it and the salted coconut sauce on the outside nicely balance the sweetness of the ice cream. Will come again if in town.

Their specials are also really good I love their asparagus and seafood special and the Rad nar is delicious too. This is the first time I've seen a male working in the kitchen. It's usually 5 to 6 females working their tits off. We arrived before they opened at 4 PM and were the second ones in the door. The restaurant filled up very fast and there was also to go orders and people were arriving waiting for seats or signing to take the food to go. I'm so happy to see this business is thriving. There, Tom, Yum and Tom Kay soups are absolutely perfectly flavored have a ton of chicken. If you order chicken, you can also order tofu or shrimp. The mushrooms are freshly thick cut and you'll find large pieces of cake for leaf and ginger and the soup so you know it's really freshly made. They can adjust the spice heat as to your preference and it really comes a little spicey hot, and you can ask for Thai hot but you might not be able to taste anything for a few days afterwards cause that is really hot . This time we asked for our papaya salad to be a little more than medium hot and it was super good made our lips burn afterwards but in a good way. Water is always filled great service. I'm not sure if management or chef has changed but their food is not what I remembered from years ago. We initially ordered their tofu pad thai and gai yang and immediately noticed how pricey their menu was. They have a wall of specials and I remember being shocked that their orange chicken was $24. I didn't mind paying more than what I was used to for my pad thai because I remembered their food was delicious but I was shocked when my pad thai came out. It was literally drowned in sauce and looked like it was a bowl of noodle soup. I was still optimistic hoping that it tasted better than it looked but it just tasted like sweet rice noodle soup. I was hesitant to bring it up to the waitress after two bites but so glad I did because I would have hated myself if I left without saying anything. The waitress was kind and offered to remake the dish. Instead, I opted for something else because I was afraid to be disappointed again. I ordered their tofu drunken noodles since I've gotten it here before and remember it being tasty. I confirmed that the drunken noodle was going to be a dry noodle dish and thankfully it was. It was good but not the best I've ever had. My boyfriend had their gai yang which is a marinated grilled chicken dish. He said it was pretty dry without the sauce on the side but the sweet chili sauce provided was pretty tasty. It's probably not worth $26 given the how dry the chicken was and he said he would never order it again. Overall, the customer service was great and portions were good. I had to deduct 3 stars from my previous review as the food quality has significantly gone down in my experience and doesn't justify the high menu prices in my opinion.

Everything else sat somewhere in the middle Parking? Lot We had: Chicken Satay (4/5): Flavor wise, this was locked in. One of the better peanut sauces I've had. Nutty, slightly sweet, with enough depth to keep it interesting. The problem was execution. It came out lukewarm, which dulled the whole experience and made it feel less fresh than it should have. Also could've used more sauce. Still good, just not quite dialed Green Curry (2.5/5): This one just didn't show up. The flavors felt muted and never really came together.
