I've been seeing this restaurant a lot on social media, and finally had the chance to try it. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by the employees. They were so nice! You can choose to sit anywhere and order through the QR code on the table. We got the egusi with goat and fufu, and the pepper soup. Both were flavor bombs and absolutely delicious. I've tried fufu a few years ago and was not a fan because there was an after taste. However, this time there was no after taste! It was delicious and had a similar consistency of mochi. They give you a bowl of water so you can dip your hands to eat the fufu without it being too sticky. The egusi was delicious and had plenty of meat. The only thing was that it was a bit too salty for me, so I will ask for less seasoning next time. As for the pepper soup, I thought it was flavored perfectly. Be aware, it is spicy and you will sweat!

I have been wanting to try AfroEatz since they first opened last year. I finally got the pleasure of going and it did not disappoint. From the artwork you see walking up to the restaurant to the elevated interior, the pride and intention behind the space is clear. I ordered the Chicken Jollof Plate and I highly recommend trying it with a Malta. It is a very unique tasting drink that elevates this cultural experience! Everything had so much flavor down to the cabbage. I loved that they added the purple cabbage because I've never eaten it cooked before. The amount of food that is given is totally worth the price. The overall process of ordering was very easy and the service was reasonable. It's also a Black, immigrant, and woman-owned business, which makes supporting them even more meaningful.

TLDR: Flavorful dishes, great service, and a smooth ordering system. The hibiscus drink and jollof rice are standouts. -------- I came here midday on a Sunday and was seated immediately. The interior is open and spacious with plenty of tables. You can choose any available table and scan a QR code to place your order, which makes the process simple and efficient. I ordered the following: 1. Bissap (Hibiscus) Drink: This was amazing. I loved the bold hibiscus flavor and the added spice that gave it an extra kick. I would definitely recommend starting your meal with this. 2. Egusi (with Turkey) + Fufu: The egusi had rich, satisfying flavor, and the turkey paired especially well with it. The fufu was perfect for balancing out the heaviness of the soup. They provide a water bowl so you can rinse your hands, since the fufu can get sticky, which was a thoughtful touch. 3. Jollof + Chicken Wings: Overall, this dish was very good. The jollof rice and vegetables were excellent and full of flavor. The chicken wings were my least favorite part, as they tasted slightly too salty for my preference. That said, the staff kindly brought out an extra wing since the dish normally comes with three and our group had four people, which I really appreciated. Overall, both the food and service were great. I would highly recommend this spot and would definitely come back.

I'm so glad we have an option like AfroEatz in Sacramento. The outside of the building is hard to miss with its beautiful and colorful mural. Inside is equally warm and welcoming with art all over the walls and rainbow light shining through the windows. You can choose dine in or take out options, and if you decide to dine in you my be seated with other people depending on your party size as they encourage community here. The team here is really friendly, and the whole restaurant smells delicious as soon as you walk in. They have a variety of items and they're all better shared, while they seem expensive the portions are very generous and the food is filling. If you're looking for something quick the meat pies are amazing and easy to enjoy on the go. The other options are better to sit and enjoy including jollof rice, soup and stew options, fish and chicken. There's plenty of street parking nearby so you'll be able to grab a spot and spend some time enjoying AfroEatz. It's definitely a good spot to visit with friends or small groups.

It smelled so good when walking in! I was excited to try their food. We placed an online order at 6:30, and we waited approximately until 7:30 to receive our food. So just be cautious of your time if you're in a rush. They did also have a sign in their store saying to be aware of their wait times. However, their food for sure made up for the long wait! It was super flavorful and cooked so well. To make it even better, that portion was huge for the jollof rice plates. No wonder why it was $30+ for each meal. Decor was super beautiful inside and it was very clean.

So. Good. My first time trying Liberian food and it did not disappoint! I've been wanting to try fufu and egusi for the LONGEST time. Everyone on TikTok around the world raves about it, and I needed a place in Sacramento that sold it. This was the spot. The flavors were amazing, the HAND PIES? MY FAVORITEEEEE. We met with the owner, Pinky, and it was so great getting the chance to speak with her and learn about the restaurant, the mural, and her intentions for the restaurant. I will say... the fufu and egusi are very hyped up on the internet, but the star dish of this whole thing?? The jollof rice plate with chicken. This was so good and could probably feed 2-3 people. The inside (and outside obviously) has beautiful artwork everywhere displaying the culture so well. Even the music goes with the entire vibe of the spot. This is a spot with communal seating so if it's a full house and you're sitting at a table of 6 with only 2 people, you might meet some new people at your table! :)

We got the whole wings + fried plantain, as well as the fufu and egusi soup! Both the egusi and the wings/plantain was quite flavorful. Our food was enough for 2 to be full. The fufu+egusi is HUGE for 1 person :) amazing. I love how welcoming and helpful the workers were! My bf and I thought that once we walked in the room we just knew we were going to get quality food. I will definitely come back here. Parking was side street but not hard to find (however, we did come on a weekday).

    Salty AF today!!!!!!!

We always order the Egusi from Afroeats and it's usually so good, which is why this was really disappointing today. The food was extremely salty -- so salty that I couldn't even eat it and had to throw it away. Please address this. We really love the food here and order often, but this dish was overly salty and honestly shouldn't have been sent out like that. Ordered through DoorDash. Hoping this was just an off day, because we normally enjoy your food and would like to continue supporting you.

Came here for the first time with my friends for dinner after seeing so many videos of it online and hearing great reviews from said friends. This place did not disappoint! The inside is so cute with various seating styles (tables, high tops, bar) and communal seating. You will scan a QR code to access the menu and order and then it will be brought out to you. We came on a Sunday and spun a wheel and won a free side of fufu! The staff were super friendly and helpful in answering questions, one of us paid cash and the worker helped take the order/have us pay since we weren't using the QR code to order. We ordered different dishes: beef/meat pies, egusi soup + fufu, pepper soup + fufu, jollof rice + wings, and jollof rice + whole fish. They brought us some Kala with a delicious spicy sauce as well. Every single item was incredible, super flavorful, and so unique compared to other food I've had. The pepper soup is perfectly spicy and goes great with the mild smooth fufu. The jollof rice is so good, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the plantains on the side were caramelized and amazing. So filling and we all left with leftovers. Only been once, but will absolutely be back!

This was our first authentic Liberian experience and the hospitality that these guys provided was nothing like we've ever experienced. Take into account that all dishes are made fresh and may take a little patience so definitely not the place for a quick bite. You will be placing your order online using the QR code. We were not familiar with the dishes and cuisine but at AfroEatz they are so eager and happy to share their culture that they brought out an appetizer while we looked over the menu; they brought out and order of Kala which came with a red sauce that was so tasty, and beef meat pies. At the entrance of the restaurant they have a spin the wheel with chances of got some free sides. We won a free side of Jollof Rice, delicious! We ordered a few entrees, their portions are plentiful and can easily be split by two people. I ordered the whole fish and a side of fufu which I was so excited to try. As I was attempting to eat the fufu one of the chefs came out and told me she would bring me something to eat the fufu with. She brought out some Egusi Soup and this ended up being my favorite dish out of the whole experience! We also very much enjoyed the very lively music and over all vibe in the restaurant was vibrant!

I've never had Liberian food before so I just had to try it out. You can order at the kiosk and pick out a table, they'll bring you the food. Egusi: A One of the most flavorful dishes I've found in Sacramento. Not sure what spices go into it but it's a very warm blend, plus with all the spinach and chicken/pork it's very nourishing. It's a soup but more equivalent to an Indian curry consistency. Fufu: A One of the most intriguing foods I've seen so I had to try it. It's almost like a mochi consistency, soft sticky and stretchy. It's a bit bland by itself but goes great with the egusi. Definitely come here if you're interested in highly flavorful and spices food, or something unique!

Friendly staff, they helped us order because it was our first time there. My cousin took great photos. Pineapple Ginger beer and hibiscus drinks were delicious! The food was amazing too! Party of three shared: fufu and egusi soup, jollif rice +wings, and Auntie Tee's Hot Pepper Sauce Party Wings. Plantains were perfect! Food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Chill ambiance with good music playing. Clean bathrooms and clean establishment. We will be back.

By the name, I would not have thought Palace Food Services was a Nigerian restaurant as well as a night-club/bar! It really sounds like a food catering establishment. Anyways, walking into the dim and empty restaurant (save for one mom and kids), we were not greeted. My friend read on Yelp that you're supposed to find yourself a seat. It would have been nice to have a sign up front that mentions that. We ordered: Meat Pie - this was ordered since they were out of oxtails as a just-to-try. It came out MUCH later than our entree and was actually still cold in the middle from the frozen peas and carrots. The taste and pastry outside were good though. Goat Egusi Soup with Fufu - At the time, this (not even filled) bowl of goat egusi was $25. It only came with a few pieces of goat, and the rest were bones. Tastewise, I really enjoyed it. And the fufu had a very sticky mashed potato consistency that was very messy, but flavorful too. Side of Jollof Rice - The rice was a little dry and wasn't my favorite. The price to amount of food ratio is wildly off in my opinion. Looking back at the menu, I was shocked to see jollof rice under the kid's section to be $20+! If that jollof rice portion was the same as the dome we received.... smh. The man that took our order and helped us throughout our meal was very nice, but that was about it. Overall, not our best first experience, so we are on the search for a redemption West African restaurant to try.

We met our neighbors at our house and all drove together. We arrived around 6:16pm. We are familiar with the parking situation, there are only a few spaces in front of the restaurant so you're on your own for finding parking. We pulled in the street right before Queen Sheba (17th Street) and parked in the residential neighborhood. It wasn't rush hour so there was plenty of spaces. You can't tell from the outside if they are open and I was afraid that I didn't read their hours and we were making contingent plans if they were closed. At least we know where we can go next time. Thankfully they were open and there was plenty of seating. I had a concern that they may have been packed due to it was the weekend and the dinner hour. We found a nice table in the middle. The only downside of the restaurant were the flies. That was really disturbing. They just kept flying around and I was quite embarrassed to bring them to a fly ridden restaurant. We ordered F. Combo Platter for 4, $70 plus tax and tip. A total steal. The price is comparable of ordering Chinese food which is a great deal. Combo Platter includes- Chicken tibbs (2), awaze beef (5), fish tibbs (12) and Vegetarian combo (24); and Injera (Eathopian bread made of barley and tiff and comes rolled up. And used to eat your food. It could be compared to a burrito or taco, you put the filling in the Injera and eat it with your hands. We used a fork to move the food from the communal platter to our plates since we were sharing) Chicken Tibbs- Tender pieces of chicken breast sautéed in a rich mixture of spiced butter with garlic, ginger and mixed vegetables with a dash of turmeric. My favorite out of all the meats. Not listed, but I belive we also had Doro Wot- tender chicken drum stick, simmered in spiced butter and specially prepared spices and herbs including garlic, ginger, and onion, accompanied by hard boiled egg and our exclusive berbera sauce. Very tasty Aware Beef Tibbs- Lean beef chunks sautéed with tomatoes, bell peppers, and a special blend of garlic, ginger, onions, and other spices. Drizzled with clarified butter (butter Optional) Very good, but not as good as the Chicken. Fish Tibbs-Specially selected far raised catfish, trimmed into bite-sized pieces and sautéed in a blend of garlic, ginger, and herbs paired with an assortment of mixed vegetables, Drizzled with seasoned clarified butter. (Butter Optional). I'm sorry to say that the fish tibbs are not may favorite, I honest didn't really like it and won't be ordering it again. Vegetarian Combo-Misr Kik wot (15-Spicy red lentils cooked slowly and bursting with energy, smothered in a sauce of herbs and spices including ginger, garlic, onions, and Berber-), Kik wot (16-Yellow split peas stewed with our traditional mixture Ethiopian spices, turmeric sauce, garlic, and ginger), gomen (17-healthy spinach and collard greens simmered in our special blend of herbs and spices), cabbage (20-Fresh cabbage sautéed with ginger, ginger, onions, and tomato in a special turmeric sauce), potatoes and carrots (21-Potato and carrots sautéed with garlic, ginger and onion, turmeric sauce) Our meal was delicious and the price was right. My only complaint was the flies. They really need to get that under control.

The two veggie dishes were very good and flavorful. My husband ordered the Vegan combo. He enjoyed all 5 dishes, and felt that unlike some Ethiopian vegs he's had in the past, each dish had its own unique flavor. His least favorite typically is the collard greens, but this time he added a bit of Berbera spice from the shaker on the table, and he loved that one, too. The only slight disappointment for him was the beets and potato dish, which last time was his favorite, but this time seemed a bit on the dry side. But still very delicious. I love how it didn't feel greasy, it tasted very clean, and juicy. Just your standard chicken, nothing bad about it. Goat egusi- this was the star of the show. The viral fufu and egusi soup. The fufu itself had a slight bitter taste but it tasted like potatoes (it is yam). Love the texture, it reminds me of the starchy Vietnamese sandwiches with the sausage. The goat in the egusi soup was sooooo tender. As a person who does not like lamb, I can eat goat. I enjoyed the greens and the sauce of the soup. We also ate it with the rice and it was delicious.
