    Here to see Vicci Martinez!

The Triple Door is a top-notch venue. I have seen a couple of shows here recently and every seat is a fantastic seat! I recommend arriving a bit early to order some food and drinks. The food is great, the shows are fantastic, and the ambience is spectacular. One of my favorite places in Seattle to just kick back, relax, and enjoy a show.

Gawd I love coming here for shows. Spendy food and drinks? Sure, but it's tasty, and veggiesaurus dishes and gluten free are marked. All the seats are good seats. All the drinks are good drinks. Service is friendly and enthusiastic and the shows themselves are excellent. The atmosphere is always upbeat and I'm always excited to go again.

The ambience and experience at Triple door was really majestic. I loved my time here. Also loved the May event - Seattle Vice. I enjoyed the event and it delved into Seattle's past and some of its dark history. As for the place the theater is located underground and the top floor has great dining and bar seating. However the drinks that I tried was kind of average. I came with an old friend here. The food was very good. Really enjoyed the experience dining here. The same goes with dessert. I liked coconut sago although it is not that sweet. The chocolate mousse on the other hand will be too sweet. The Indian Cauliflower color was very good. I loved it. The menu is largely Thai except some Indian and a mix of options. As for the experience and customer service, it wasn't the best. My friend was refused the drink for no apparent reason. Apparently the server there and she has some history but this is something which should not have been reflected professionally. We were just enjoying the food and show. I must say in return they complemented the dessert which we can see but refusal of service was enough to spoil the mood. As a tip, we just tipped off the complimented item. I loved the venue but it's better the people working here wouldn't bring their personal anecdotes to work. Specially when everything was calm and composed.

We saw Curtis Salgado here tonight and what an amazing experience. It was my first time at this venue and what a treat - right off the highway, parking garage right next door, as others have said not a bad seat in the house, intimate setting, great service. We sat right in the front row- the stages lip doubles as a counter wraparound before booth seating starts. We were up close and personal - I do think even for my early 30s maybe I should have worn ear protection but whatever. I didn't get food but the food near me smelled great. Drink service was quick, with the tab even coming with 2 songs left in the set - setting us up perfect to leave after. Recommend highly for live music

    Burlesque Nutcracker.

THE NUTCRACKER? This show has little or nothing to do with Tchaikovsky's masterpiece of the holiday season. The music is live and original except for one brief section with a faint nod to The Nutcracker music. Parents, don't bring your children, This is a burlesque show with scantily dressed men and women dancing around the stage in an exhibition of masterbatory exercise of uninspired choreography.

This is the most underrated venue in Seattle -- there, I said it. There's hardly a bad seat in the house. And they serve you dinner and drinks while you watch a show?! Okay, sign me up! I've been here a couple of times over the years, but most recently to see Ron Pope in late Feb. We scored two bar top seats off to the left of the stage at $30-$35 each. The Triple Door website said these have a partially obstructed view, and they're right! While you're close to the stage, because you're so far off to the side, you miss what's hiding around the corner during the performance. That said, you're so up close and personal with the band that you can hear the instruments without the speakers -- incredible. Dinner and drinks service was prompt and informative. For food, we ordered the sichuan green beans (I don't like green beans and holy cow these were so good!), the thai mushroom satay (also so fab!) and the monk's curry (really solid). Legit think a place like this could get away with serving food that's just okay (since it's so beautiful!) but we were blown away by how good the food is. In all, highly recommend the Triple Door for a show, though if we had to do it all over again, we'd pick seats that show a more head-on view of the stage (we were limited to what was available when we bought.) Cheers, Triple Door, and thanks for a memorable night!

Came here for the Bohemia show! The staffs were super friendly. Our server was also nice and efficient. Food was overall good. The Singapore beef satay was delicious. The ambiance was interesting with the show and all the lights. We were sitting at the front row so we enjoyed the show up close. There was also a lounge that you can drink before the show, and a Photo Booth that you can take pictures at. Overall good experience. I parked at the 2nd and Union garage next to it. Paid $12 for parking for the duration of the show.

Absolutely love coming to this venue. Recently saw the Seattle Boylesque Festival there! Amazing show, great good and drink (cracked coconut martini is my favorite) and the service was great!

I love The Triple Door. Great venue thY always has some amazing LGBTQIA as well as BIPOC events. I've seen three events there, and they have all been great. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming, though they do have a habit of walking in front of you mid act. The only thing keeping me from.5 stars is the average quality of the food. It not great but not bad. The dessert is the best option on the menu. The drinks are also weak for the cost. Very little alcohol mostly mixer.

First time at this venue....I thought it was pretty nice. I liked how the seats are staggered so everyone can see from any angle. The line to get inside and sit down was long but moved through quickly. Once seated, we were able to order some and drinks and food after a bit of a wait but everything came out in a timely fashion. The cracked coconut was my favorite. I also tried the chicken satay which was delicious. The pickled cucumber side was the BOMB! I wanted just a plate of that The show was great, we enjoyed a burlesque show, J'Adore. Overall, very happy with this experience.

This is a cool spot for shows! We've been here before for the burlesque Nutcracker. Last week, we were here for the Michael Yo comedy show. We didn't get to try their food since it's a late show. We'd love to try their food next time! Overall, it's a cool venue and the service is good.

    Los Lobos, 2/3/2024
    Maria R.

Tonight was my first ever visit to The Triple Door. I saw Los Lobos and sat in the 3rd "row" center. Every seat here is a good seat. If you want more comfort, bring a group and choose a booth. If you want to be close to the stage, there are hard chairs and bar-like seating with a narrow "table" in front of you. I can't speak for the entrees but I did have two of the night's special cocktails in honor of the band (delicious) and a coconut sago pudding for dessert off of the regular menu. I enjoyed the dessert but some might have found it a little too sweet. If I remember correctly, the sago came with a fennel infused pandan sauce. It was good but I couldn't really taste the fennel, which in my opinion was a good thing. Even though this intimate venue, with its multiple levels of booths and bar seating, is nicer than most concert venues I've been to in Seattle, I noticed that the crowd was casual. You can get dressed up if you want, but I saw a lot of plaid shirts, tees, and flannel. Then again, maybe it's because of Los Lobos (which, btdubs, ROCKED IT ALL THE WAY OUT). Acoustics were awesome. The music was loud but not so loud that I couldn't hear anything when I left the venue. The only drawback for me was that it was a little tight to get up and dance. If you want to do that, choose a row at the wall or on a corner of the front row so you can get up near the exits and not block anyone's view. You have to walk down a level to get to the theater and the bathrooms are down another level. I didn't see any elevators and it is a smaller space, so I wouldn't count on easy accessibility if you have issues with mobility. I did see a couple "box seats,", which are behind glass on the first level and separate from the venue below, but there is still a slope to get to them. However, for a band like Los Lobos, I wouldn't want to sit that far away from the crowd (which was fantastic) or the music. This is the closest you will be to your favorite bands than most venues, so take advantage of it! Finally, pro tip: park in the garage around right next to The Triple Door / around the corner. It was only $12 to park. Take your ticket with you because you need the QR code to access the elevator. If you pay for parking in advance using the QR code, exiting out of the garage is fast and easy.

Moscow Mule. I'm rating this top notch.

WOW! Love this venue! Dinner, drinks and a show? Yes, please! The lighting is so soft and subtle. Before coming here, I read the Yelp reviews and the main thing that I learned was that the service sort of sucks. So I was prepared for that. However, that was not the case at all! Excellent service! No complaints! My husband and I shared the beef satay and steak fries. I absolutely recommend them both!! I'm really looking forward to coming back!

Great stage great band. Monkeys on a string.

I never really do coat check because I'm paranoid about not having my things on me, but the one here is easy and reliable. The only real issue was the photo booth which only worked for the first half hour or so. I'm assuming it ran out of film or something because at some point, it just kept taking people's money without taking any photos, which was brought up to the staff. This isn't necessarily on Showbox since the photo booth is provided by a vendor, but I would've appreciated an "out of order" sign. All of this was on display Friday night. Joining them were Cornelius Mims (bass) and Michael White (drums). Though the set was besieged by an on and off hum coming from the equipment (we think) and another issue with a computer, they did not disappoint us. Instead of their more recent material (which is where the computer comes in) the group took us down memory lane, it worked! We arrived early for dinner before the first show and were seated on the mezzanine level. Our server Nikki was very welcoming and took our order. We ordered drinks--an Old Fashioned and a Sauvignon Blanc--along with appetizers. Our appetizer selections included calamari served with lemon aioli and spicy red chili oil, and the Aegean Meze Platter. The platter featured grilled eggplant, baby carrots, cucumbers, dolmades, Mama Lil's red peppers, marinated artichoke hearts, assorted olives, tomatoes, and house-made hummus and olive tapenade. We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers. For dinner, we decided to order full meals, which we don't always do here. One entrée was the Linguini Del Mar, featuring sea scallops, Gulf prawns, Alaskan Coho salmon, and clams sautéed in a garlic, white wine, and lemon butter sauce, served over linguini and topped with Parmigiano Grana. The seafood was fresh, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. My only unreadiness was the dish didn't include mussels, which from my perspective, would have really made it fantastic. The second dish was the White Gulf Prawn and Avocado Caesar salad. It included prawns, hard-boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, romaine, and Tuscan kale tossed in Caesar dressing, topped with croutons and grated Parmigiano Grana. I sampled it and found it to be very good. We also added a couple orders of the Jazz Alley Cornbread that included butter and honey. The corn bread was delicious folks!! We decided to end our dinner with dessert. I tried Key lime pie, and my wife ordered a sundae. Okay, full disclosure I love Key lime pie!

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst theater etiquette experiences I've ever had. During the first act, a man seated behind us repeatedly sang along during the performance. I eventually had to leave my seats (Main Floor 2, Row G) and speak to management because the disruptions were so bad I couldn't focus on the performance. What's most disappointing is that this is the SECOND time I've experienced terrible audience behavior at this theater. I previously saw Back to the Future here and dealt with nonstop talking during that performance too. I attend theater regularly in Southern California at Segerstrom Center for the Arts and also frequently see shows in New York City. Ushers there actively monitor audience behavior and quickly shut down disruptions. At the Paramount, it felt completely unmanaged. For the prices being charged -- around $350 for my tickets through Ticketmaster -- audience members should not have to deal with talking, singing, and filming throughout a Broadway performance. Amazing production. Extremely disappointing theater management and audience control.

20 MAY 2026 -- I performed poetry from Purple Rose: The Stars Carry Her Name -- Letters from Me to…read moreHer at the historic and legendary Blue Moon Tavern in Seattle. Originally opened in 1934, the Blue Moon carries the kind of atmosphere you cannot recreate -- walls covered in decades of music, art, stickers, photographs, and stories. A dimly lit room packed with musicians, writers, artists, and people who genuinely appreciate creativity in its raw form. Throughout the night, the stage moved between live music, poetry, and performances from local artists while the crowd filled the tavern from the bar to the stage floor. Places like this remind me why independent art still matters. As an author traveling all over the United States -- and as someone who lived in the Seattle area for 2 1/2 years -- standing on that stage reading poetry from Purple Rose in a venue with this much history behind it was really something special. What I loved most was how welcoming the environment was. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly, art-friendly space where people genuinely support one another. If you are brand new to open mics or nervous about sharing your work for the first time, this is the kind of place where you will absolutely be shown kindness and encouragement. There were so many talented musicians, poets, and performers there, and you could really feel the appreciation for creativity throughout the room. The setup of the tavern itself is awesome. The stage and seating area wrap around the bar in almost a U-shape, so you can really choose your own vibe for the night. If you want to stay close to the performances and music, there is a dance floor and table area near the stage. If you want something more relaxed, you can hang back near the bar, have a drink, and still enjoy the atmosphere without being directly in the middle of everything. They also have a full bar, arcade games, board games, books to read, and even a small library on the shelves throughout the tavern. Somewhere inside, you may even find a signed copy of Purple Rose that I left hidden and dedicated to the historic Blue Moon itself. Beautiful evening with wonderful people. If you are ever in the area and have a skill you would love to share, go share your art. Find your copy of Purple Rose at JamesVThePoet.com

I just had what is literally the worst bar experience I have ever had in my life at the Blue Moon…read moreTavern. I, my wife, and her friend stopped by for New Year's Drinks around 6, and about 6:30 or so, made the mistake of asking Tim Duvall, the clearly drunken before 7:00 PM owner of the establishment, whether outside food can be brought into the bar. This led to his regaling us with an extended and utterly unsolicited history of the bar. He then invited himself to sit with us, halfway into the seat before slurring a "Can I sit down?" to insert himself into our booth. We then moved to another unsolicited conversation, this time about politics. Now, to be clear - I have no doubt that I and a sober Tim Duvall probably agree on most of our politics. This did not stop him from berating me as I agreed with his point, loudly escalating and yelling as I tried to agree with him (again... to be clear, I DIDN'T disagree his political view) until he stood and began yelling that I was kicked out. As I stood to talk on him, he became VERY comfortable with putting his hands on me, grabbing my sweatshirt to move me. I was NOT about to challenge that as a Black man new to Seattle that doesn't know how the police would handle things. I need to be very specific about how quickly this man felt comfortable touching me, grabbing my sweater to "drag" me. This is the step that is WAY over the line. I would genuinely like to recommend this place, as I'm looking for bars that offer sugar cane soda. Drunken ownership- in the early evening in New Year's - that feels comfortable being handsy with Black folk is far too much. AVOID at all costs.
