It's been my go to lately when in Tulsa. Went again. I had the Pad Thai again. It never disappoints. The service was good and atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.

We go to The Tropical when we are having a late dinner. They close at 10pm which is later than most Thai restaurants. The prices are a little higher and we usually get our own dish instead of sharing when we are there. I like the tom kha and their fried fish (around $25). The ka prow today was really salty. I am not sure if it was because I asked for 4 in terms of spice. It wasn't really spicy.

Yum! I'm so glad we finally tried The Tropical. Most of us ordered the pad Thai, and it was really tasty. We ordered a lunch portion, and it was still a good amount. One of my kids ordered the chicken wings off the kids' menu, and he said they were tasty. Service was very fast and attentive. It's very clean inside. We will certainly come back.

The food was incredible and the service was great. It wasn't too crowded. My husband and I got a mai tai and it was perfect.

Having been scarred by The Tropical on the first visit, I've decided to come back to give this establishment a second chance, and I am so glad I did. The Tropical is an excellent Thai restaurant as long as you avoid the Spaghetti Kee Mao. It might even get a 5 stars if I could completely erase the memory of the initial visit. The Tropical has excellent pad thai. Pad Thai is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as street food in Thailand. It is typically made with rice noodles, shrimp, peanuts, scrambled eggs, and bean sprouts. I love the flavorful sauce in the pad thai at The Tropical. It truly is wonderful. Tom kha or Thai coconut soup is a spicy and sour soup of coconut milk, galangal, kaffir, lime leaves, lemongrass, Thai chili, mushrooms, chicken, fish sauce, and lime juice. At The Tropical, I particularly love the inclusion of tomatoes in the soup to give it a richer taste than the traditional soup. It tastes like a creamy version of hot and sour soup with different ingredients. It's good at The Tropical, just not my cup of tea. It's a shame that I can't get over the injury of the initial visit. The pain is gone but the scar is there, maybe next time.

Wonderful food! Can't believe I've lived here a year without finding this place. I will admit the calamari was tough and had no tentacles which I prefer. Everything else was FANTASTIC! Just look at the photos for the variety my family ate... yet there were so many other dishes we wanted to try! We'll have to become regulars just to get through the menu.

Had a great weeknight dinner here. Staff were very friendly and prompt. The restaurant was nearly empty around 7pm but it was great to have a quiet place to eat and talk. The food was really good. I got chicken pad Thai and I can say that I would get it again. The corn cakes were also a really good starter.

I would like to call myself a Tom kha soup connoisseur at this point and The Tropical has HANDS DOWN, the BEST Tom Kha soup in Tulsa. It is creamy, flavorful, and delicious. We also got the Kaprao fried rice, which I didn't love. The rice was dry. But it's also hard to follow up a dish as amazing as the Tom kha soup. Just please go and try it!!

Never tried this before. I like curry, just don't want it to be overwhelming. This place hit the spot. Tried this dish with added chicken. It was good overall perhaps a little bit too much broth. Needed more substance. But the flavor was good. The waitress did ask how hot I wanted it and I chose four out of five. Glad I didn't choose number five. it was a little spicy. But overall a good dinner.

Since it was my first time being able to get a daiquiri I took the chance and got a mango daiquiri. It had me spinning after a few sips but it was a perfect match with the food. The server was so polite and offered great alternatives if you wandered about mixing and matching menu items. My food ended up taking a while so they gave me an extra piece of fish and let's just say that I was certainly pleased with that gesture. I didn't eat it all In one setting, so I was able to take some home and actually have lunch the next day. The place was such a relaxed space and easy spot to consume your food. The shrimp were tender and well seasoned, though not quite what I would consider jumbo. The snow crab legs werenot as plentiful as I'd prefer based on the description, but the texture was right where it needed to be. They broke cleanly and pulled easily, which made them enjoyable to eat. The eggs were actually one of my favorite parts. They held the seasoning really well and added an extra layer of flavor to the meal. I placed a pickup order, and the experience inside was just as pleasant. The space was clean, and the woman at the front was genuinely friendly. We had a quick conversation about the menu while I waited, which made the visit feel more personal. Overall, I would come back for the flavor, even if I am hoping for slightly more generous portions next time.

They had market prices for all the seafood clearly displayed on the wall. The server was very nice and attentive. We started with the Krak Fries. My husband enjoyed them, especially with the sliced tenderloin pork on top, an unexpected but tasty combo. The side of kimchi tasted old to me. We also ordered the papaya salad with two peppers. It brought the heat, but in a good way! I loved that they included salted crab shells. For our seafood boil, we went with both of their current specials: the snow crab special and the crawfish combo (no picture because not sure if these changes). We also added a pound of clams, and they were able to toss everything together in one bowl, which was super convenient. We got the Flavortown sauce at medium spice. The ambience was nice, we were able to sit comfortably and carry conversation. My son and I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo, with a side of green beans, fries, and onion rings and it also comes with two hush puppies. The green beans were delicious. The hush puppies were good but I prefer just plain regular old hush puppies. These tasted like they had maybe jalapeño in it. They went spicy just a little kick to them. The serving size is a big portion for the combos. It came with three fish fillets. The fish was fried good but it lacked seasoning. The shrimp was good! We all actually liked the shrimp. The fries were good too there was just a lot. My son loved the onion rings. My husband ordered the jumbo shrimp combo and he loved his shrimp. They were fried perfectly. He also got a side of corn which was good. I saw this place on TikTok and that's what brought me here.
