Hard to write this review as I never ever do this unless it's awful. This rating has nothing to do with service or anyone working there so bear that in mind. I just spent $15 on a lunch portion of fried rice (extra because I added shrimp) and it tasted like smoke and had NO other flavor (not sure if they forgot to put soy sauce in it or something). This was the single most awful fried rice I've ever tasted. Even Panda Express does better. This is so strange because this restaurant is supposed to be related to Lanna Thai which makes a killer fried rice. This is so disappointing for such a simple dish. Not sure if the chef was off today or what but I won't be trying this again :( read more

We found out about this restaurant on Yelp and since it has a 4.5, we decided to give it a try. It sure did not let us down. Good service and quality food. I had some sort of Thai stir-fry shrimp that I did like (see below). The portion, however, could have been a little bit more generous. Their Tom Yum Soup, though, is weirdly expensive. They do have a rather big bar too. Also, their patio is near by their tropical-plant-looking garden, so I think it will be nice to dine outside there when the temperature drops a little bit. read more

The best Thai I've had in Tulsa! When it comes to the spicy level, proceed with caution because this place delivers the authentic Thai spice. I've had both dine in and takeout, and both times I've had a great experience with the staff. The panang curry is super delicious and comforting. I ordered mine with tofu but you can choose whatever protein you prefer. I chose spice level 1 and it was perfectly spicy for my taste without being overwhelming. read more

Definitely a hidden gem. Don't miss Tropical if you are in Tulsa. The food there is fresh and clean. They grow a lot of their on herbs and spices. They even have a greenhouse for the colder months. The place is immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated. The service is great, and the ambiance is outstanding. The food was outstanding. Started with Chicken Lettuce Wraps. So tasty and delicious. As I mentioned before, the taste was so fresh and clean. I could have ended with the wraps and been content. For my main course I had the Pad Thai. Again, so wonderful. Stopped in today for a celebration with my family. We all really enjoyed our time here! The outside of the building is a little unassuming, but it is gorgeously decorated and very well kept. The staff were incredibly kind and patient (we always take forever to decide what to order). Our drinks were kept full and the food came out in a timely manner. We tried 4 different dishes, the tropical fried rice with chicken, pad see ew with beef, their more unique fried rice with pork (whose name escapes me) complete with apple slices on top, and pad thai with tofu. Everything came out as expected and was absolutely delicious. We had a hard time choosing a favorite! The meats (and tofu) were all cooked extremely well, and the spice level we asked for (0 haha) was a true 0. The lunch specials are a great price, and we left extremely satisfied. This is one of the only Thai restaurants in Tulsa that's open on Sunday! That is when we first tried it out, and the food was really great. They have some good Thai dishes, but in my book it isn't the best of the best Thai in Tulsa. The atmosphere is nice, and the size of the restaurant is bigger than I expected. I had an experience trying to get food to-go that took WAY longer than it should have (maybe 40 minutes or so). My experiences have been better dining in. When I arrived at the parking lot I was going to leave... It is a tiny place Ina place where you do not think there can be a reataurant. When I went inside I was going to leave... It looks empty. While visiting the Tulsa area my family and I decided to try The Tropical. The previous night we went to El Chico which did not turn out very well. The Tropical however, did not disappoint. The appearance of the restaurant from the outside does not seem grand however inside is decorated nicely and is very comfortable. I ordered the Panang & my husband ordered the Garlic Pepper chicken. The Panang was creamy & delicious! With no added spice it's still had enough heat to satisfy. My husband fully enjoyed the Garlic Pepper which was appropriately spicy for his choice of level two. Our children split an order of the Fried rice. I can't remember the exact name, but it was the no spice fried rice with tomatoes, carrots, onion and an egg. They really enjoyed it. One plate pleasantly served 3 small children. We rounded off our meal with two orders of the coconut ice cream which was completely sublime!! The staff was very friendly and attentive. On my never ending quest for quality Thai food in Oklahoma, The Tropical is right up there. It is probably the best Thai I have had in Tulsa. The restaurant itself ooks a little odd from the outside, it's an odd looking cottage with a garden out the front. However in the back is a more traditional looking Thai restaurant. They have a good selection of Thai and local drinks and cocktails. Their Thai curries are some of the best I have ever had. Fully of diverse and complex flavors and spices. This place really is a hidden gem tucked back off of Memorial. I've been here several times and have not once been disappointed by the food. This trip I got the lettuce wraps as an appetizer and they were so unique! I would highly recommend trying those. I also got the Pad See Yu with chicken and it was great. I think the level of spice you request here is always right on, nothing too spicy for what you ask for. I love that they grow their own fresh herbs around the property. I happened to drive around back and noticed a plethora of herbs/veggies that they grow and use in their restaurant, which made me love them even more! The food was good, and the service was fast. Didn't leave overly impressed, but I was pleased. I had the Korepao (sp?) with shrimp, and my friend had one if the red curry dishes. Both are spicy dishes, and you can increase the spice level on a scale from 1-5. Be careful!! My friend, who LOVES, spicy food requested a spice level of 3 (in addition to the spice that already comes with the dish), and he coupled barely finish it. I'd come again! This trip to Tulsa proved good as far as food goes. This restaurant was amazing. Got here shortly before closing and the staff was friendly. I started with the three mushroom soup. Not sure what kind of mushrooms but I'm telling you, you'd be hard pressed to find better soup. For dinner I had the grilled Chilean sea bass. All I can say is wow! This place is VERY unassuming from the outside (it looks more like a dentist's office than a restarting to me) but the inside is just beautiful and the food here is excellent. If they had a Brady Arts location they would clean up. The food is fantastic, with a large variety of options (including some vegetarian for me). My favorite thing here are the lettuce wraps. The filling is so flavorful and has that thing going where rice has those crispy edges. Yum yum. The service is quick, I've come over my lunch break and they turned us around pretty quickly. I've ordered a few times from here and the food usually been good and had no problems. I did an Uber eats order ordered the scallops entree and when I received it there was 5 scallops and I payed $30 for it. I called and asked them how many scallops their is supposed to be they said 5 scallops for 12 dollars. Told them their menu on Uber is wrong said there's nothing they could do and it's Ubers fault. Asked to talk to a manager and there was no manager in the building. Staff that I talked to was super rude and unprofessional.
