We just happened to park by it as we were going to explore and grab a bite to eat in downtown Olympia. I asked the cashier how long the place has been around and I was told it's been around for about two years. I'm a bit shocked that no Yelp entry has been made yet. Gallery Boom is a gallery that features over 100 local artists and virtually all of the work here is for sale. The prices on a great deal of the art pieces asked by the artists seem very reasonable. Since this gallery features so many artists the variety on what type of art there is here is quite vast. I bought several things here... a dried mushroom under glass, a purple crystal, a Christmas ornament with moss in it, a UFO rear view mirror hanging ornament and the bigger purchase a small lamp. Pictures of most of those things to follow. I was very excited to get this lamp as the artist makes all kinds of sizes of lamps that are inspired by sci-fi, UFO's, the Space Needle and other similar building structures like it. I first came across these lamps at another Olympia art gallery, Matter Art Gallery. That gallery has since gone defunct and I was very sad to no longer see these lamps but now I know a great physical location to go to for these lamps (the same artist like many of the other artist either have their own website, a point of contact or an Etsy account as well). It was great reconnecting with those artistic lamps again! The cashier said that reaching out to nearly all of the artists is easy and they are very receptive to communicating with the public. This also reflects onto the gallery itself as it doesn't come across stuffy or pretentious in the slightest. The cashier also mentioned that the art for sale can rotate out relatively quickly and that their is almost always something new to examine in a relatively short amount of time. Not only that but one pass down the aisles here just doesn't seem to do it justice. It seems like each time you walk where you already were you see something that didn't catch your eye the first time. So you can spend a lot of time here just doing that. I'm totally addicted to this place! I am SO coming back here but I'm going to wait maybe several weeks to a month for new art pieces to get brought in. If nothing else I'm most likely going to buy another one of those lovely lamps!

I also worked with Mo again to manifest a vision I had for a painting. I am not much of a painter myself but I had an image that had come to me that I really wanted to have on canvass. Mo and I talked for a little while and she started painting my vision. It was amazing to watch it come to life in a way that was so much better than expected! I was blown away.

They absolutely love to go and are always talking about how much fun they have when they are there. My 6 year old got to go for the first time this summer and she was over the moon about it. I just love to see how proud they are of themselves and see their smiling faces as they rush to show me what they did that day. It really is one of the best things I have found in Olympia.

One trip we sat by the window and we were all boiling!!! On their Facebook/IG it always says come in and enjoy A/C but the employee told us it's always super hot by the windows, so no hope of a cool environment if you're in a big party. On another visit (with my 5yr old) it took them almost 50min to bring out her Italian soda. We basically took it to go at that point. I also feel like prices have gone up a lot. The average piece is around $50 or you can paint a ceramic animal for closer to $20. Overall I know I'll be back because the employees are great and getting to paint your own pottery is fun, but I wish the building/food experience was better! When it's busy, the place can get awfully squishy so I'd recommend making a reservation during weekends and holiday seasons. They also have coffee and ice cream. Regardless of the season, they still push out the finished projects in the same time so we were there on a Sunday, our items were ready for pick up the next Monday. Once your seat is reserved, you walk in and pick your items to paint and a helper will bring it to your table. The paints are on the table and you need to find the number that matches the sample pallet, which is very helpful because it shows you what the paint will look like afterwards. You can write the numbers on the paper on your table to help remember what colors you're using as a helpful tip. There's many sizes of brushes and paint pens. Afterwards add your name on the bottom and take a picture of your work, that's how you claim it.

paid $80 to learn how to knit a chunky blanket and another $20 to make a candle. honestly would…read morehave been a good time, but the instructor was so absent during the class period. was told to come 0930 or 9:30AM as per the order e-mail confirmation, which is 30 minutes before the 1000 or 10:00AM knitting class so that you clhave enough time to do both activities until 1300 or 1:00PM. the instructor did not open the door until 0951 or 9:51 AM even though I had signed up weeks ago. lack of communication from the shop about how the timeline will play out, and so instead, the instructor had to interrupt the knitting time to then squeeze the candle-making time. extremely disappointed by lack of communication and coordination this location. I had high hopes, truly, but maybe it was just the instructor that did it for me. the instructor would dipout and multitask elsewhere away from the class-goers who had to standby for a bit so that they can get her help on instruction clarification. Ended up needing to help our peers out because our instructor lacked the initiative to check in on all the guests. Nonetheless, very pretty and happily bright shop. Makes you want to-do a studio tour to truly appreciate the beauty of the art that covers the walls.

Never going to deal with them again, they said my account is rent to rent, not rent to own, and i stated this account over 3 years ago and i know picked rent to own, and they didnt even ask me that question because we originally returned it then went back to rent it again, and the second time they didnt even ask me and they are saying i cant use my $1660 dollars towards purchasing a cello, when they keep sayin i can use that money towards a new cello..... they dont know what they are talking about and they keep hiding behind eachother its disgusting. Not only did they have the getting hard to find Fender Mustang Micro guitar headphone amp, but discounted from list $119 to $99. Sales person Francisco was great, sale had just ended but display case still had the sale price so he honored it like all stores should. By the way, this little Fender Mustang Micro is an amazing little guitar headphone amp & it's rechargeable instead of eating up batteries...
