Not only was the flight over priced, but none of the wines were very good. They really need to get a good sommelier to select their wines. What a flavorful, fun and pleasant experience we had at The Twisted Cork! Hubby had the Seafood Cioppino - and there was a lot of seafood which is not usually the case. The Chicken Creamy Alfredo Linguini was quite flavorful, well balanced between veggies and pasta (again, not always the case). Our appetizer was the chorizo stuffed mushroom done to perfection, creamy and the chorizo said hello through each bite but not in a too spicy way. We were shocked to say the least to learn they don't have a by the bottle wine menu!! Who does that??? Alas, that is their twist! A recent visit for lunch found us looking for the Twisted Cork. This wine bar/bistro has a great menu with lots of local purveyors on the it and a wine list to match. A small place with friendly and comfortable service that was spot on. They also have a very nice wine selection on the wall, not on the menu, I found several there that were very nice and limited production runs - all reasonably priced, just waiting to be uncorked. Fresh flowers on the tables is a nice touch and makes the experience even more enjoyable. Comfortable, casual and classy are the first impressions, nicely decorated with actual space around each table seating area make this space feel open and unpretentious. A must try appetizer if you are a fan of blue cheese, the warm Blue cheese Potato chips. Using local blue cheese from Rogue Creamery, this treat was so good and pared so well with our wine, there was only one problem - we wanted more! I ordered the Cesar salad with seared Salmon. The Salmon was perfectly prepared resting nicely on top of a nice bed of local Romaine hearts, fresh tasty and delicious - the house-made Cesar dressing was mixed nicely throughout the bed of greens. A great and filling lunch option. My wife ordered, the Open faced Chicken sandwich with Blueberry compote, she said it was delicious and the sample bite that I got was quite tasty, a wonderful mix of well prepared moist tender chicken and the sweetness of the blueberry compote - it was also solid choice for lunch. All in all, a great place to grab a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Lunch for two with an excellent bottle of wine and tip - $90 and worth every penny. You can do it for about half without the bottle... We plan to visit again the next time we are in town, and on the list of great places behind the Redwood curtain... This was one of our many places to choose from on a brief Grants pass trip. WHen we got there we had trouble deciding what to order. We ended up getting the dates, prawns, cioppino, poblano soup, caesar, mediterranean flat bread and 2 deserts. NOTHING disappointed. Sitting outside on the noisy street was a perfect place to bring kids as they cant make more noise than the cars and it also gives them something to look at. The ONLY thing here that could have been a little better was the service. It seems that they are a bit understaffed. Our waitress did great all things considered I do believe she could have taken better care of us if there were more staff available. We would totally come here again if we lived here. read more

First time eating in Grants Pass. Not knowing where to eat, I pulled out the Yelp . Wow it didn't let me down. TTC was highest rated and everyone was right . Service was excellent, friendly , attentive , helpful. Food was excellent. We had the blue cheese chip appetizer to start. What a cheese sauce and crispy kettle chips. Then my son enjoyed the Mediterranean flat bread. My husband had the chicken salad, he's likes healthy. I splurged and had a perfectly cooked ribeye steak with a fresh side salad , and excellently cooked sides of fingerling potatoes and green beans with zucchini and mushrooms. There was so much oil it felt like an oil spill in the gulf of Mexico and we needed a bottle of Dawn to clean or mouths out! We threw our food out. We had an amazing waitress and staff who were superb in service and helpfulness. Food Presentation was also a lovely bonus, everything arranged so nicely. Prompt service and it was not too busy, we went around 12:45 pm/1:00 pm on a Thursday afternoon. Soo good, my aunt had the soup which was also divine and delicious. I highly recommend Twisted Cork. My wife and I got the pomegranate/ cinnamon flank steak and the creamy alfredo linguini, based on the servers recommendations. We also got the cheese stuffed dates appetizer for the same reason. The appetizer was pretty good. I'd order it again. Definitely not 4 or 5 stars good, but a solid 3 stars. Same with the pasta and flank steak. They definitely put effort into their food. Stopped here tonight for the first time after looking up Yelp reviews for a good seafood meal. I checked over the menu for keto options and was very pleasantly surprised to find macadamia-crusted fish, and tonights choice was halibut, mahi-mahi or salmon, served over a bed of sauteed bok choi and spinach with a bit of spicy seasoning. My server recommended the pepper, cheese and chicken soup, and I chose the salmon for the entree, since its best for the keto diet. Was it the best meal Ive ever eaten? If not THE best meal ever, it sure came close! The soup came first and it was hot, a little on the spicy side with the poblano pepper, creamy and delicious and cheesy and filling with chunks of chicken. When the entree arrived, the salmon was so tender and moist and perfectly done, perfectly crusted with macadamia, and magically light and flaky. The bok choi and spinach were lightly sauteed and the bok choi still had a nice strong crunch. There was no salt or pepper on the table, and I didnt need any; everything was perfectly seasoned. When I was finished I was well satisfied. It is not easy to find "the perfect restaurant keto meal," and Ive been eating keto now for over two years. This was the best restaurant keto meal Ive had yet. I didnt have to ask for "this, not that" a thousand times, my server understood right away when I talked about keto, and I didnt have to "make do" with something that was close, but not quite right for keto. Ive been looking for a good seafood restaurant in Grants Pass, and Ive been pleased with, and disappointed by, the seafood at the restaurant around the corner from The Twisted Cork. I am so delighted to find this great meal at this lovely restaurant in downtown Grants Pass, and I will be back!
