This place was delightful. Not only was the decor need and clean, but the ice cream was well worth the drive for us. I got the Mint Sundae (I forget their fancy name for it) and my husband got a Brownie Sundae of some sort. Both sundaes are featured on the overhead menu. Mine was wonderful. Pieces of brownie and Peppermint patties were in mine. I'm sure it was like 1 million calories, but YOLO. The staff was polite and genuinely happy to be helping people. I went to the Udder Bar with my daughter and best friend after hearing about it from a coworker. We love homemade ice cream, and this place was amazing! The portions were generous and the price was very reasonable for the quality of ice cream. The man that helped us was able to provide us in detail the ingredients in everything they had to offer. My daughter especially loved to play inside the little cardboard ice cream truck and books they had for her to read. Their rewards program is Buy 10 items get 1 Free ($5.00 value), which is an even greater motivator to have us come back for more. When I came across The Udder Bar, then subsequently viewed their website and read their menu, I knew we had to give it a try. I'm SO glad we did. This is now our new jam! It was absolutely the best ice cream that I've had since moving to this area. Seriously, it's really that good. My kids had to "try" about 10 different flavors before deciding what to have. Once they did, I don't think they took a deep breath until they devoured every single morsel. Not me though! I got the Peanut Butter Surprise sundae, but substituted the vanilla with a scoop each of chocolate peanut butter, chocolate, and salted caramel pretzel... Ermahgerd! The salted caramel pretzel is everything that my ice cream dreams are made of. Next time, I'll just have that one. Not only was the ice cream all handmade, high quality, and scrumptious, but I felt really good about supporting a local small business. I liked knowing that we wouldn't be going back to our normal franchised location that's always "pretty good". I wanted great, and I got it! I've been using the Yelp! app for 4 years and this is the first review I have ever left. I think that's worthy of a mention! Although the Udder Bar has been in existence for a few years in Allentown, this was the first time that I visited. My son and granddaughter were visiting and we wanted some ice cream. Friends of mine had mentioned the Udder Bar. We went for the first time this evening. The ice cream and options were excellent. I myself am a Coconut Ice Cream person. I will try that flavor every time I get homemade ice cream. The Coconut at The Udder Bar was excellent. Probably one of the best I've ever tried. Only reason we know that is because we got a text on the way home after going somewhere else to get ice cream. The product is good, but the customer service could be better, and the page doesn't offer a refund. Despite what the young adults said who work behind the counter. I'd make the website more user friendly, and maybe have someone "in charge" if the issue could be lack of experience. read more

Well people have been raving about this place but...I don't know why. We went during the week in the evening and it was very crowded. When I ordered a bubble waffle which was on the counter I told the young lady I wanted that. I asked her what was in it and she said I'm not really sure this is only my se ins day. I told her that's ok just make it the way the display on was. All the other people in my party had their ice cream and I was still waiting. She finally asked me what ice cream I wanted in it and she put ice cream in it and that was it. She handed it to me and said thank you. It was $7.50 for that. Okay my friends and I come here too often. The ice cream is always great and the employees are always nice and work quickly. The apple dumpling is really good and you can choose which ice cream you pair with it. It's about half an apple wrapped in dough and baked. We love the bubble waffles and favor the birthday one.
