A 3 room day as we took the on "Curse of the Kraken," "The Nightmare Realm" and "The Sherlock Society." We were greeted by our game master Clarissa who is fantastic by the way. She went over the rules and gave us the story and we were on our way to adventure. We were able to take down all 3 rooms in under the time limit and they were great. Clarissa was so helpful to the group noticing when we were really stuck and offering just a slight nudge but not giving us a direct clue unless we asked. We needed a helping hand in The Nightmare Realm but we did very well on our own in the other 2 rooms. Curse of the Kraken is a small room but there is so much going on in that small space, we really enjoyed the assortment of puzzles and challenges in that room. The Nightmare Realm was our least favorite of the day but we still enjoyed it, the room has taken over where another room we previously did used to be and it has some similarities in design but all new puzzles and challenges. Sherlock Society was our favorite room of the day, we didn't need any hints in this room but still cut it close escaping at the 52 minute mark. The room is so unique and has some incredibly unique puzzles to solve, we really enjoyed every aspect of it. It was another great experience and I highly recommend all escape room lovers try out Two Trees.

Moderator: 4/5: When it comes to escape rooms the moderator heavily impacts the experience and/or success. Our moderator did a great job explaining the rules and providing hints. However, the reason why he gets 4/5 vs 5/5 is that 5/5 moderators have a bit more theatrics which makes the experience even greater. Overall, he did a solid job. Room design: 3.5/5: the room theme, decor, and construction was well thought out but the execution needs improvement. Upon entering room I was able to identify certain clues because certain things stood out. I have been in rooms that are so well constructed the only way you can find a clue is if you spend time carefully searching. Puzzles: 4.5/5: some places only have one style of solving puzzles. I like a escape the room where you get to solve a variety of puzzles using different modes of thinking (teamwork, problem solving, searching/spacial awareness, etc). This allows each individual to potentially shine and makes it more of a collaborative experience vs one all-star. This place had a mix! This was our first experience…read morein an escape room venue and we were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed it because of the level of unexpected creativity and challenge built into the experience. Our group chose the beginner level "Once Upon A Time" escape room. This three room experience was creatively constructed, decorated and designed. Our staff attendant was helpful when we needed help with clues (we would likely not have met the 60 min time limit without the assistance). The Red Door is a good small group (6-8 person) experience and we would not hesitate to sign up for another one in the future.

It's very easy to mess but if you drive slowly, it is literally right next to the building. You turn in and there should be a wellness center on your left. Continue to go forward and turn left and the parking garage is there. It has multiple levels going down. It's typically about $1 for an hour and no they do not validate. There is free parking nearby in another garage but for a dollar to be able to walk up and be right there is much better in my opinion. When you arrive, you call the phone number on the front door and they come unlock the door to let you in the inside. Has multiple VR experiences aside from VR room itself. There are multiple spaces so more than one group could have an experience at the same time. Once you sign the waivers, they take you back to your space that is reserved and put the headsets on for you. After putting on the headset to your timer starts and you start your gaming experience. Pretty easy to understand instructions from the game guide. Just try your best not to walk into any walls and respect the boundaries. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the airflow is not great so you definitely feel sweaty on your face but other times they'll turn on the fans and it feels good the whole time you're there. Definitely great for less active activity but still very engaging. They don't really explain the game to you and kind of leave you to figure it out on your own, but the games are not super complicated to understand. The game guides are pretty nice and quick to help out with technical issues. You cannot hear other games that are happening at the same time as you. They are there and the space is open, but VR headset quickly muffles out any other sound so it's very easy to focus on your own game. Great place if you don't have anything to do for an hour in the afternoon. And it's so close to the 3rd St Promenade that you can walk over and experience that when you're done. We typically like to walk over to Go Greek on Ocean Avenue afterward for a fun FroYo snack.

I first traveled to California in 2024 with a group of 30 college student-athletes for a tournament and wanted to find a place to do some team building and found 101 Escape Rooms. I reached out and owner David was more than happy to host us, come in early to accommodate our game schedule, and provide an outstanding experience. The team returned to this tournament this year (2026) and the players who were on the 2024 trip specifically asked to go to 101 Escape Rooms again. I called David and re-introduced myself and asked if we could again bring a group of 30 to do some escape rooms. He quickly said yes, provided a group discount rate, and made the experience that weekend outstanding once again. Not only are the actual rooms custom created, unique, and unlike any other escape rooms I have seen, but the staff is great, the challenge and team building potential worked exactly as planned, and I would so highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you are just hanging with friends or traveling with a larger group. 10/10 experience!

In fact, we were not even sure we had solved the room because when the employee entered our room at the end all he said was make sure your pockets are empty, don't take any props/keys with you. Furthermore, we did not even get our photo taken at the end. That is a missed instagram opportunity for Escapology. The cold ending tainted the experience.

The basement is a very immersive room, the cast member who was part of it did an amazing job! I'm so sad I can't remember her name, she truly was a delight! She even reassured me at the beginning when I was freaking out. We managed to escape with about 6 minutes left, I wish I had taken exact note of how much time. We took a celebratory picture and then I got some merch, a t shirt saying I escape the basement and one of the enamel pins. Me and my friends came to celebrate a birthday and I think we will be back in November for another friend's birthday to do the next room! I'm gonna buy a new enamel pin each time we win, I think. Definitely looking forward to coming back! Couple tips: come in one car, the lot is very small and there was only one spot left when we got there and our friends had to park farther away. It's very interactive at some points, We had to crawl through spaces, walk through trap doors and we did get our hands dirty. We were Using flashlights to get around. It was SUPER interactive. I had a blast!!!! Will definitely come here again!!!!! Do wear comfy clothes. We were sweating!!!! Closed shoes recommended. And always pay attention to small details. Everything is a clueeee!!!!!
