The falls are gorgeous, but the place is really geared to sell you the more expensive zipline experience rather than facilitating a pleasant, short hike to the falls. The map they give you as a walking guide is utter garbage. It's a shame this place isn't a state park instead of a tacky tourist attraction, because it really is beautiful. If you want to walk rather than zipline, Akaka Falls State Park is just a few miles away. read more

My partner and I did the 9-Line Zipline Tour. Easy instructions and check-in process. It was a fun experience overall. They did not allow us to carry anything bigger than a fanny pack on the 2hr tour with us so we could not carry any water bottles. They did provide water to us only once in the middle at one of the stops but something to consider if you go on a hot day. It was my girlfriend's first ziplining experience so she was initially very scared and it took her a good couple of minutes and a lot of encouraging words from me to finally gain the courage to jump. I am sure the staff of such activities sees similar cases often and they should be professional enough and trained to make folks who are scared, feel more relaxed with their words and give them some tips to help them feel better but John (the tour guide at the time) just stood there watching without saying a single word of encouragement to my partner and helping her in any shape or form, creating a tense environment for her where she felt a lot of pressure from him and the people standing behind us like she was holding everybody up by not jumping. It left a really bad taste in our mouths even though the zipline itself was fun. If you are someone like my girlfriend, you might want to consider alternatives. read more

The staff at Umauma were incredible. They know what they are doing. Our group had 20 people in it and yet we moved quickly and efficiently through the 9 line zip line course. Unbelievable views and speed on a couple of the lines. Also, my daughter was feeling dizzy at the last zip line (her fault due not eating much breakfast) and they took great care of her. Got her off the line and brought her some Gatorade and waited for her to recover and let her do the last zip line. So many great people working their. Thank you so much for a great experience. Great people work here. Very friendly guy checked us in, strapping in was easy, trip up to the top and lots of enjoyment coming down. Everyone here makes helping part of their job. We're seventy and brought our kids and grandkids here. It was the first time for all of us. Super glad we did it. It was a little scary at first but the equipment made me feel very safe. We had a great time! The property is gorgeous! So lush and green and well maintained. Tour guides are funny but most importantly they make you feel safe and comfortable. They show you how to zip hanging upside down which is pretty fun. Other Zip-lining companies don't allow you to do that lol! They also offer ATV and horseback riding tours plus you can go swimming in their pond too. So many different family oriented activities to do here. I just got back from hawaii. I had to chargeback the zipline company $200 because they had a maximum 20 people allowed on the bus to the starting point less than 2 miles away because of GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS. Their business is hardcore enforcing them. They refused to send the bus back for me or even let me hitch a ride on a Polaris behind my family let alone even let me walk to the start point. I was to be riding with a group of 13 people of the 20 in the van and it was my family comprised of the 13. They offered to let me go in the next group 4 hours later and completely break up my families plans for the day. I asked for a refund and because i wanted to cancel but becausebit was within 24 hours it was no dice. The woman and young man at the desk on Friday morning 10/15/21 brushed me off and she completely eye rolled at my attempt to plead with them to let me ride with my wife, daughters, uncle and cousins. Just like shes eye rolling right now reading this review. I paid $200 just to add myself and they treated me like some dumb tourist. Yes! I am a tourist on your beautiful island, I just spent a week and almost $15,000 to vacation with my family and would have happily spent $$$ here at this great looking property riding horses and ATV riding with my kids. But I was denied the line ziplining "Experience" which i can care less about. I care more about losing the experience with my kids. Thats what really sucks. Keep my $200 to tip your people for taking care of my kids whilen ziplining and keep the eye rolls too. read more

Excellent family adventure! Avery, Mica, Hannah and Rusty were fantastic guides! This is a great option for everyone in the family. My 67 year old diabetic dad was able to do the whole course easily and there were even older people on the tour with us. The whole thing is about 3 hours from arrival to the location to departure.
