I know this is way overdue (got married in Oct-2019), but everyone needs to know just how AWESOME DJ Eternal is. We first heard him on the radio years ago, and immediately knew he had to be our DJ when we finally decided to tie the knot. There was no compromising, he HAD to be our DJ. When we met him for our consultation, he was such a cool, professional, and down-to-earth guy, and t was like we already knew him. He was so patient with all my questions and song selections. Talk about feeling the LOVE! I first heard about DJ Eternal through my fiancé (now husband). He is a frequent listener of Q102.1 and I became a fan almost instantly. The hubby (James) and I love 90s/2000s r&b/hip hop, I mean...this is the kind of music our generation all grew up on! Aaliyah, Biggie, 2pac, to name a few, we wanted that music! DJ Eternal has great mixes on Soundcloud and I found myself listening to his mixes over and over, I knew I was hooked. We were getting married in 4 months and our wedding was on September 3rd, 2017. We were having it in San Diego because I am originally from there (Manila Mesa ayyye!). But James wanted his bay area touch in the mix, so he was adamant about getting a bay area DJ to get his hyphy on. Without James knowing, I emailed DJ eternal on the low-low and asked him if he was possibly free that weekend to DJ our wedding. We can't be happier that we have DJ Eternal aka Roel as our DJ for our wedding. This guy was a great MC/ DJ. He is so easy to work with and always extremely professional with all of his clients. After exchanging emails with him he sent our a contact to us, along with additional forms for us to fill out. Mainly the list of songs during our entrance - for the wedding party, songs we'd like to hear as well as a do not play list. He is very receptive to the theme of the wedding and answers emails typically same day or by next day. I told a bunch of my groomsmen whom I chose as my DJ; the majority of people knew him from the radio and were juiced to see him live. We did a video chat with him and we knew we picked the right person for or wedding to MC the festivities. Eventually met in person and had dinner with Roel. Super chill guy, great person to hang out with. Easy to talk to and down to earth. We went over things and how we envisioned our wedding. And eventually just hangout where he got to know us and we got to know him. Days leading up the wedding we again spoke to him over the phone, gave him our itinerary and he was all prepared. We asked for a special entrance mix, he made a two difference ones. We envisioned a certain mix but he explained why that wouldn't work. Makes sense since he in the professional. You have to trust that he knows his art form, which he does to a T. The day of the wedding we didn't see him during the cocktail hour but we saw him equipment and he got the vibe off right. Everyone was having a good time and his choice of music was superb. My wife and I eventually found him in the reception area, all set up and ready to go. The song list we set up was a general direction that he had, he had full control over what was played and went off the vibe of the guests. I can't say there wasn't a song I did not like. Roel controlled the order of events well. He made sure we were always on time. We got a lot of compliments during and especially after that we had an awesome DJ. My wife and I are relatively eclectic and Roel showed this to us by played NSYNC, Baby Shark and E-40 simultaneously. We told him that we planned to be done by 11pm, but depending on the vibe we may extend to midnight. Dude was cool with everything. Eventually we called it at 11:30pm. Roel did not disappoint. He made our day fantastic. Really nice guy who you can tell enjoys being a DJ and takes pride in his craft. This is probably not the wisest way to wedding plan, but I had a few vendors I was not negotiating on for our wedding, and having a good DJ was one of my top priorities. I booked DJ Eternal 2 years before our wedding. Actually, I inquired with him before we even had a date or venue. There was no other DJ that I was even willing to consider, and luckily my husband fully deferred to me for our DJ selection. :) My husband initially thought all wedding DJs were the same - sometimes they know your name, sometimes they don't, but usually their music selection/ability to read the crowd is poor. It took ONE meeting w/DJ Eternal for my husband to change his mind. The more weddings we attended, the more we were both convinced DJ Eternal was the perfect guy for us. My goal for the wedding was to have a DJ that played good music. My husband wanted a legit MC. My dad wanted someone who would keep our family/friends engaged. My mom wanted to make sure everyone's names were correctly pronounced. We all just wanted to PARTY and not worry. All our goals were met; Roel truly delivered in every aspect of his professionalism, MCing, and DJing. Roel really went above and beyond in our wedding prep. He mixed a father/daughter song for us, found the exact classical songs we wanted for our ceremony, helped us find songs for our first dance (and gave us awesome feedback that was so true for the song we ended up picking), etc. He even played CLEAN music only (bc I have a bunch of little cousins). He did a GREAT job hyping our crowd on the actual day of the wedding. I was maybe halfway done with my salad when I had 5 people approach our table to give us props on DJ Eternal. My wife and I found Roel (DJ Eternal) through multiple recommendations from our close friends. After listening to his mixes on Instagram and Facebook, we decided to book him for our big day. What sets Roel apart from the other DJ's we've listened to is his passion for keeping the crowd entertained, hence his nickname, "The Crowd Uplifter". We were also in need of an emcee and luckily enough Roel had the ability to do both. Upon our first meeting, Roel treated us to dinner, as he did with all his clients in order to get to know them a little more. We bonded, parted ways, and kept in touch here and there until the days leading up to the wedding. We even visited him at one of his gigs at a local bar. During our wedding, Roel brought his A game and our guests absolutely loved him. A lot of our guests were out of town, coming from SoCal and the East Coast. They complemented his style, saying they wish they had someone like him back home. One of my favorite moments during the wedding was actually when my wife had to leave for a few minutes in order to change. It wasn't included in the timeline but Roel managed to save it by playing a few get-up-and-dance songs. Soon after, the majority of our guests, young and old, stood up and filled the dance floor. Not to be biased, but I've never seen a dance floor at a wedding that packed in my life. Because of this, I knew that the rest of the night would be in good hands, which is exactly what happened. Overall, DJ Eternal is a talented DJ as well as a gifted emcee. He knows exactly what to play at exactly what time. He even knows how to get the crowd riled up to make sure there are no down times. Man, oh man. I wish we could relive our wedding day over and over again because it was so much fun! DJ Eternal was amazing. All of our friends and family were on the dance floor a majority of the night just dancing, singing and having a good time. It's super important that you find a DJ that can read the crowd and keep the good vibes going. Roel was nothing short of that. Ahh what can I say?! I was first introduced to DJ Eternal in 2018 for a wedding at the GlassHouse in San Jose. It was a wedding event that included three notable individuals from the SF Judiciary system, and so it was to say the least a little nerve-wracking. This was not my first time having eternal as our Dj. I was so happy he was available to host our company holiday gala for Analog devices. Eternal played all music for all genres and the dance floor was never empty! I had so much fun watching everyone dance, while singing my heart away with the crowd. The music and microphone was loud and clear with a great set up (I was sitting all the way in the back of a room of 300 people). He is definitely the crowd uplifter! If your searching for a Dj/emcee look no further you found your guy. He came highly recommended from a friend, so I knew I had to book him. I had a small backyard wedding and didn't want to hold back on anything so I reached out and with luck he was available. I have to say my favorite part about having my wedding at my house was I didn't want to worry about my 3 crazy boys , they loved DJ Eternal. He was so good with my kids because I'm pretty sure I seen them bugging him multiple times, asking to speak on the mic, he handled them so well and I appreciate that so much. My family was on the dance floor all night and he never hesitated to play anything we asked him. The next day my son said mom I really liked the dj we should have another party and have him again. Our radio DJ friend was not helpful or flexible, so we asked our wedding photographer, FJM, for any DJ recommendations. DJ Eternal right out the gate was helpful and flexible with our needs for the wedding. Even though he was on vacation with his family, he was available for a FaceTime to answer questions (I.e. equipment, contract, etc.). We did not hire DJ Eternal for any MC services because my wife and I never enjoyed MC performances at weddings, but DJ Eternal with his amazing DJ voice made general announcements to help the night run smoothly. Having been in the DJ world when I was younger and having some DJ friends, we would still hire DJ Eternal again over anyone else for any other event because he was professional and goes above and beyond. It's always a pleasure doing business with DJ Eternal. I hired Roel to DJ at my wedding last year and he was awesome. Before our wedding, I informed him of the songs that I wanted him to play at my wedding and he didn't even miss a song on my list. For the first dance, I had several songs that he had to transition and I'll have to say he did a good job. He also helped MC during the wedding and he great. Dancing was scheduled around 9:30pm, but he was playing great music so people actually started dancing a few hours earlier. Although I had so many things going on during my wedding, I noticed people from another wedding passed by to watch us all having a good time dancing. I even saw them ask for his info. If you don't have an awesome DJ, people will not stay at an event for long. I was very fortunate to have Roel DJ my wedding. If it wasn't for him, I'm sure my friends and family would have left early. I'm sure if we didn't have to leave the restaurant that night, we would have been dancing until the next morning.
