Vibes from start to finish working with him were so chill and made the process stress free. We used a software to keep the timeline and notes organized for the day of and he was really on top of coordinating with our day of coordinator and photographer. During our wedding day, he did a great job MC-ing and making sure the vibe was cool throughout cocktail hour and open dancing. All of our friends loved him. He was engaging and was able to incorporate all the different types of music genres we liked (edm, hyphy music, pop punk, etc). 10/10 would book him for future events!

If you are in search of a DJ/MC that has great taste in music, knows how to read the room, can change course the flip of a switch and is capable of handling any crowd - look no further. I've known about this team (The Uplifters especially DJ Eternal) for many years - attending family gatherings around the Bay Area and other events held by friends - and knew they were the dream team. They easily add music to their playlist, their own mix and can crowd control beautifully and flawlessly. Come to find out, my fiancé-now-husband, and DJ Eternal were friends back in the day and he was our first choice to practically HOST our wedding of 140+ people. During and after the wedding, we received so many compliments of how changes in our program were well adjusted to, selection of music (we gave homeboy free range) was great and the dance floor was always occupied. Releasing tables was not an easy feat with nearly 25+ children, many elderly and other hungry guests, but they made the process entertaining every second. We booked DJ Eternal from great yelp reviews, his awesome website and for his great personality & spirit. We knew that he was going to rock our 20th high school reunion, but he was even better than we could have imagined! Everyone loved him, his skills, mixing & music selection. He played every song we wanted and truly uplifted the crowd! We had a very long request list of the best songs from the '80s & '90s and we only wanted to hear our music up to 1994, our graduating year. DJ Eternal is one of the most versatile DJ's out there! Turntablist, MC, hype man, producer, mixer, you name it, he got skills. I met him back in 98' when a huge mass production of DJ's were produced and LP/records were in crates and not on mp3's. This was the era when our crew prolific DJ's formed. His music selection is not like any other DJ's out there which makes him stand out the most. He blends the old with the new and definitely a crowd pleaser. When he DJ's, I see how the crowd reacts when they throw there hands in the air and scream "oooh". He is always prompt and always gives good input. I also consider him a leader in our entertainment production (prolific productions) who always motivates everyone to stay dedicated. Yes he…read morehad the room dancing in their seats during dinner, and yes we got so many compliments from our guests as he played banger after banger all throughout the reception, but those actually weren't even the best parts about working with him: -First, he's a dream to work with. He set up a detailed checklist for us to work through, responded to every email in less than 24 hours, and worked really hard to make sure he did a great job for us -- from understanding what we wanted in each moment (and more than knowing how to handle a hora) to making sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's names throughout. -You know you're in good hands for everything beyond the dancing too. Henry mixed sound for our ceremony as well, muting us when appropriate so we could have our own moments up there, and making sure we, our officiant, and our readers all sounded great otherwise. -He made sure we had the right cuts of every song we wanted to use for special moments -- turning around options for us to choose from basically overnight -- and when we had a song we wanted to process to but it had parts that were too high pitched, he made a new version that toned that down and worked perfectly for us (also overnight!). Truly could not be happier we had DJ Henry for our wedding, or recommend him more highly!

Derek and his team were just absolutely incredible in every respect. He is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about music, and knows how read a crowd and match the vibe of the couple and audience. After planning a wedding, the best advice I can give to an engaged couple is to find vendors who are good communicators. There are vendors who will be slow to respond or not respond at all in the wedding planning process without multiple reminder emails, and it can add so much unneeded stress. From getting the initial quote to setting up the meet-and-greet to our planning meeting over FaceTime the week before the event to go over the details, I can't say enough about how good Derek and his team were with their communication with us. What stood out most is how much Derek went beyond the scope of his role. He offered to grab water for us, reminded us to make sure we set aside time for the photobooth for ourselves, offered to help announce things as simple as where family members needed to go for a group photo, and even added a Chinese love song to our dinner music playlist (without speaking the language himself) knowing I had family members who didn't speak much English. There were so many little touches that helped make our wedding night so special, and I can't recommend Derek enough!
