We have been coming to this location for approximately 9 years and have received nothing but the best service. Since we get our mail here we are in 3-4 times a week. I'm always greeted and usually by name. Sometimes they see my vehicle and have everything waiting for me. The location is about 15 min from our house and worth the drive. read more

This place is horrible because of the Asian guy with the brace in his leg. He's the only Asian in this location. He's super rude and never greets customers. I always go to this location because it's closer to me. So when you guys go to this location don't bother to greet the Asian guy. The nicest guy is the African American with dreads. Listen this is my experience today on 08/12 at 10:20am. Literally, I came here to ship a package to the dreaded Cali. It's dreaded because that long haul matters. However, in the past when I tried to price quote a smaller item not even weighting 1b I went to FedEx, USPS, and UPS. The cheaper out of all 3 surprisingly was UPS. So ever since then I've just stuck with UPS. I came here today and the customer service was good. The two employees whose name I didn't catch were willing to work with me and they ask me questions. It was clear that I was just there to ship. Didn't know much. How ever, the price quoted was $22 dollars and I said oooh no baby, what is you doing' in my mind *think of the meme* and I was trying to get confirmation from the person who I was shipping the item too if that price was doable. And they are frugal and they told me to go to USPS because it's cheaper. So this one gentleman literally offers the kindest suggestion as he could tell that the struggle was real and that was to cut the box. Free of charge. The box I used was big so simply he cut in and it brought the price down to $16.80 and it will arrive by Friday. Literally, totally saving me time. I was so thankful, that he took the extra step because other places I've been too they haven't done this or suggested it. At first I thought he wanted me to purchase a new box to lower the cost. I'm clearly used to ppl trying to nickel and dime me. But nope, not here! So happy! Keep up the good work guys. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! CHRIS JACKSON IS AWFUL, RUDE, AND JUST HORRIBLE! Drive a little further to go to a different location because the amount of disrespect and rudeness is not worth it. Honestly, I left there very upset and crying because I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I went to this location because it's near my job and I needed to make copies for work. I went straight the copying machine and realized that it required a code, so I went to the counter and patiently waited. Not long after, one of the employee asked if I needed to make copies and asked me politely to give him a minute because he was with a customer. Then, another guy (Chris Jackson) came to the front and started to walk towards the copier and asked me if it was black and white copies. I respond and told him yes and that it was double-sided. Without saying anything or asking, he reached his hand over to what I thought was him wanting to see the back, so I held on to my paper and flipped it over and with attitude he said "I'm gonna need the paper if you want copies." I responded, "Oh, I thought you were trying to see the back. If you wanted the paper you should have asked." He didn't apologize or acknowledge what just happened, so I just let it go. Then, he showed me sample copies and we proceed to print. I then asked him if they had a hole puncher and he said that the machine can do it and I asked him if that cost anything. At this point, we are standing near the printer and people are talking behind us, so I did not hear when he said no. So, I said "I'm sorry?" waiting for his response and he responded in the most unbelievably rude way. He respond slowly and talked to me like I was stupid. For example, "NoooOOOOooooO" (Like, Dory from Finding Nemo when she was talking to whales.). I was so taken back and didn't know how to respond, so I just told him no to everything because I didn't want him to help me anymore. As I said before, I left very upset and cried in my car on the way to work. Once I got to work, my dad saw how upset I was and immediately called the UPS Store because apparently my dad is familiar with Chris. I have no idea what was said or talked about. There is nothing that can be said or done because clearly CHRIS JACKSON, does not care about his job and his life is really sad for him to treat people like that. read more

This store is absolutely awful. I bout all the packing material from the UPS store. Packed the box. The service rep said that was the thickest box they had. Initially he said I should open the box to see if I packed it properly so I did. He said it was not up to their standards. It was blankets and Christmas ornaments. He said they could repack the box for an additional $15.00 so I said alright. He opened the box put it in a larger box and added popcorn pieces. My charge went from $64.00 to $113. I said that was not what he said the cost would be. He said I was paying for his labor. He told me I could leave if I did not want to pay that cost. He cheated me but I will never use UPS again especially the Kingstown location and I will make sure other veterans know and are not victimized as well. I went into the store knowing what I wanted but no idea how to communicate it to the associates. I worked with Donnie, primarily and Chris offered his support and ideas. I walked out of very happy customer. I am attending a bridal showcase as a vendor and needed a plaquette displaying my business name. I also wanted a logol that would appeal to a diverse population. Donnie and Chris worked with me and were very repsonsive. I will return to have business cards made to match my new signs! read more

Awesome staff! I maintained a mailbox for many years at The UPS Store in Kingstowne, VA and received extremely good treatment from the superior staff. They were very careful to put only my mail in my mailbox. If there was a question about the mail I found a question mark on the envelope. When I did not have my key in my possession to obtain my mail, it was no problem. I was able to pay my bill over the phone when I was out of town. I felt comfortable conveying my financial information because we had a relationship. As a single female in sales, The UPS Store in Kingstowne provided me peace of mind. The UPS Store in Kingstowne was affordable and courteous to me all the time.. I started having stuff delivered there and would receive it earlier than expected. This has been my go to UPS store but after dealing with a condescending employee twice, no more. I will drive else where. Yesterday, I needed a box for an international shipping with USPS. The employee said 20 by 20 by 12 would be the best fit. I told him those dimensions were too big for the country's mailing restrictions with USPS. I then replied I could fold down the 12 inch size to meet the restrictions. He said no I couldn't fold down the sides. He precedes to tell me in a snarky voice we have a box that will fit what you are packing but your item will fit in snuggly. I said no I want the 12 inch dimension and I will fold it down, myself. He assumed he was going to pack the my package, nope. Then he told me UPS uses DHL on their international deliveries because they lose less things than USPS. Oh, I ask to see the 20 by 20 by 12 box but the employee wouldn't show me the size of box until I made the purchase. And, when I did, low and behold there were fold lines in the box to make the dimension smaller. There is nothing worse than an employee who believes every customer that enters the building has no experience with sending packages. Or, maybe, he sees me as a middle age feeble minded person that he needs to enlighten. Done with this location. read more

I use (or used to use) this UPS store all the time. Today I went in to ship a package of donated breast milk and the guy behind the counter was SO rude to me. Just stared at me when I walked in, no friendly greeting. Tried to tell me that I couldn't ship in the cooler that I had it packed in, even though it was an Omaha Steaks cooler that I had received via UPS. He was just very rude and condescending to me. I was already emotional because of the reasons behind sending the milk so I couldn't take the way he was treating me. I picked up my package and walked out crying. In a little bit I called the store to complain to the manager about the way that I was treated, only to learn that it was the manager that I had dealt with in the store! If the manager treats customers that way, then there is no hope for this place. I have currently reached out to UPS corporate about it so we will see what they have to say. I'm SO disappointed. You know you need to start looking for another shipping store when the attitudes don't match the service. This is definitely not the first time using this store. Have spent a good deal of money there and feel like I am doing them a favor every time I walk through the door. Maybe these kids as one review noted should learn that in the service business when you deal with the public, customer is king! They try to up-sell you at every turn even if you know what you want. Different attendants gives you different information and their guarantee is as wet as the rain! When asked to speak to a manager or owner, it becomes the biggest secret in the universe and of course they are never there or there when you call. The owner's name which I found on my own Ms. Day, obviously doesn't teach her employee's the significance of customer service or addition. If a package one week with the same dimensions and packed the same way with the same size box and details is not the same price the following week and a lame excuse is given then you must start to wonder. Then when asked if it will get there in the time they said, they tell you if you spent more money it would definitely arrive then! Hate to be hustled by any store clerks but especially amateur's. If you show any annoyance what so ever, they're upset because they want to isolate your reaction from the cause! No can do! Kingstowne post office gives 2 day service for cheaper prices and it gets there. If it doesn't you get your money back. Not so with this store. There is also another mail store in Manchester Lakes that has much nicer folks and doesn't try to give you different information every time you visit. Didn't want to give any stars but this site wouldn't let me post without at least one star. That is one to many! read more
