Well, the UPS store is great for UPS stuff. Which would explain my previous five star reviews. they claim they have the ability to process mail on behalf of the USPS. BUT. Their ability to process the USPS material is almost grossly limited compared to a real post office. So you may think their hours are more convenient than your local post office. BUT. The number of package pickups at the UPS locations is lame. Thanks to Amazon and other pressures on the USPS, they now process mail 24/7. Yes weekends, holidays, rain, shine... So if you managed to sneak your mail at the post office minutes before their closing time, most likely the mail will be picked up and sent for processing. You go to the UPS store and forget it. Your package will be stalled in transit at the store. For days. That would be Sundays, holidays. There won't be after hours pick up. And your mail will be stuck in the UPS store until the postal service arrives for their extremely limited number of pickups. But wait. The UPS store will most likely charge you more than a post office for the same service. Just go to a real post office. read more

The UPS Store, 101 W American Canyon Rd #508, American Canyon, CA 94503 7/26/25 at about 2:00pm Amazon return item was a PFD in a clear bag I arrived at the UPS retail store to process an Amazon return and stood in line until was called forward by a handsome well-spoken young black man. He scanned my QR code and then said the item needed to be in a box or plastic bag. I commented I would comeback another day with it properly packaged. I left the store and got into my vehicle and paused, as it occurred to me the item is already in a plastic bag, it's just clear. I took the item back into the UPS store and asked the young man if I could simply add a little tape to seal the package and send it back that way. He said, "No, UPS has standards." I explained to him UPS often ships items with just a shipping label and he said no again, and repeated UPS has standards and this doesn't meet those standards. This is when a short pretty white woman in glasses with a bunch of words on her name tag approached, and I could only guess she was the manager. I repeated my reasoning with her and she supported the young man's position and said they could not accept the package and it didn't meet UPS standards. I told them both, as they stood at the counter, that this inconveniences me and I was certain this was nothing to do with UPS standards. The young man waved 'bye-bye' and said "byyyyyye" as I departed. Within 5 minutes of leaving the UPS store, I ran into a UPS driver and asked my questions, and he said they ship all kinds of stuff, packaged in different ways even shipping labels stuck straight on items, and as long as the plastic bag was sealed and nothing was spilling out, "it's perfectly fine to ship." I drove to the UPS store, Napa downtown location and scanned in and dropped off my item in its sealed clear plastic bag without issue. Normally, I wouldn't waste my time writing this. However, it's clear UPS standards are missing the mark when it comes to customer service and finding solutions for customers. I would have gone along with what they were telling me at the American Canyon location if they offered me a solution, such as offering to sell me a box or polybag, clearly a missed opportunity on their part. They tripped over their own egos and took joy in sending me away. How many sales are they missing? Are they treating others this way too? This review is because they inconvenienced me. $750 for 50 color flyers!!?! Told the guy he is nuts and then he said he misspoke and it was $170!! Ridiculous and rude at the same time.

The best UPS experiences I've had are at this location. Christmas is chaotic. Sending out gifts on behalf of your employer is also chaotic. I'm so grateful for this team at this location always, but especially today when Keisha helped me box over 20 items to send out all over the bay. Special shoutout.. honestly, to everyone who works here: Kat, Keisha, Andreas, Xarles, and Yancy. The owners, Arvind and Jyoti have created a team that puts customer service first even through the craziness of the holidays. I come here for Amazon returns all the time and you don't even need to talk to anyone because they have a set up in the corner. I am receiving late payment notifications on bills I know I have paid and mailed at this facility. My wife has mailed things from this facility as well that did not make it to its destination. The mail is coming up missing from the mailboxes that are supposed to be secured. It makes you wonder who is in charge of the outgoing mail at this facility. Horrible customer service, and lack of understanding. I ordered printer ink from Amazon, and it arrived damaged. I requested a replacement and took the damaged product to the UPS store to have it returned. Amazon did send a label to my phone and I took it to the store and they wanted to charge me $4 to print it. I explained I was returning printer ink because I didn't have a printer and that this is what Amazon had instructed. Staff member didn't want to hear it and said it was four dollars or they could not take the return. In addition, this was a Friday afternoon and there were five people on staff. I waited almost 15 minutes because they were all engaged in conversation or on their cell phone and not helping people in line. Amazon needs to revisit their contract with the UPS store... This store is conveniently located and the staff are always helpful and fast. One thing did bother me however. The so called "employee of the month" Steve stared at me the entire time I waited in line with this creepy smirk on his face. Almost like he could see into my soul. Jyoti does NOT have good customer service. First interaction in October 2022: I told her I had just sent an email to print out a paper. She walked toward the laptop without looking at the email and came back to me and said "it's just too much. Use the computer to print it out. I won't charge you." After I used the computer and printed out the paper, she still charged me 3 dollars. 2nd interaction (December 12, 2022). Came in with two boxes for rental books to return. I give her the paper to scan and to put it into the plastic slip. She rolls her eyes, exhales deeply, walks to the paper cutter and cuts the paper small to fit into the plastic slip. Usually when I return my book since I'm a college student, the workers just fold the paper and put it into the plastic slip. It doesn't need to be cut. But overall, Jyoti doesn't have good people skills and should improve with her Interactions with costumers. She should NOT roll her eyes and act frustrated. She need to gain patience with costumers. read more

I've always utilized getting my fingerprinting (ink/paper) done here for years. There aren't that many fingerprinting places easily accessible during covid where you can just walk in. I just briefly called to see if there was a worker working for when I can hop in. Ive had to get my fingerprints done prior to joining the Peace Corps and other federal background checks. The workers are always so friendly and professional. Much easier getting them done here than at a police station or government building. read more

They do get busy and you have to stand in line sometimes but the line is handled efficiently if there are other employees there they will come out immediately to help clear the line. Wow! I know that this location gets really bad reviews for different reasons. But my experience today went so great. Not sure if I came in right when they opened and I'm the first person that was helped so they aren't feeling tired or drained yet. Lol! But, anyway I came with three packages to ship ground. Two were small boxes and the other one was big but the content was small. I was surprised to find out id be paying $65.00 on it. So, the original guy was nice enough to help me change the box to a smaller size so in the end I paid a third Which he suggested so I won't have to pay so much. He changed the box and packaged it and everything. While another guy was helping with the other two packages. They were so patient and very helpful. Awful customer service. Dropped off two Amazon returns and a prepaid/already boxed up package. I asked for the receipt with tracking info. One week later all of the tracking numbers show no movement and only that "a label has been created." After going down there and talking to the owner in person, all he does is look up the tracking numbers as well and tells me they're already delivered even though the tracking shows him the same details. It's one thing to actually try and offer assistance but when you try to tell a customer something just to get them out of the store its just bad business. He then told me to call the 1-800 number and deal with them. I've shipped packages hundreds of times. They clearly didn't scan the packages in properly otherwise tracking would reflect that. Never coming to this location again. I now have to file a claim online with ups read more

I came here to get Livescan fingerprinting done for my work license and had a great experience! Anna was very friendly and accommodating, and got the whole thing done in about 10-15 minutes. I was a walk-in as well, which was cool. I don't think they take appointments here, but I know other fingerprinting places can be appointment only. Aside from that, I've been here a couple previous times for package mailing, and have had no problems with that either. I definitely recommend this place! I don't have to get fingerprinting very often at all for work, but I'll remember to check this place out again next time. read more

See, I've never done one before and was given zero instructions on how to do it from my daughter's school.
