Despite clear instructions for a specific PO Box closure date to coincide with my relocation, the staff shuttered the box a full week early. This resulted in a systemic failure: vital documents confirmed via Informed Delivery have vanished. One employee, Nelson, was particularly egregious--displaying a profound lack of initiative and a troubling indifference to the fact that critical information is now lost. While the Postmaster at the main location was professional and amenable, her demeanor cannot compensate for the total breakdown in execution at the counter. As post offices go, I'll now always pick this over Trancas. Parking is way easier and less hectic (plus then I'm downtown for a bite or drink or pop over to Bookmine). I had maybe three or four people in front of me with only one employee but somehow was in line for under five minutes - it was great. We frequently use this location, there is always please of parking, great location! The employees are always happy and friendly. The service is alway great! Definitely recommend for all your Stamps and shipping supplies, even when the line is very long they do their best to keep it moving quickly. read more

Horrible service. Say they've delivered something, they haven't. Try to fill out form for missing mail, impossible. The one time I agree to have something delivered by USPS and this is what happens. UPS is the only way to go. read more

Office staff tend towards curt, rudeness. Only one lady was helpful. We just lost our longtime carrier. The new guy doesn't seem to give a darn about issues. Calling the number doesn't get an answer. Mail hold requests are not honored with regularity. The management here needs to get their act together. read more

I'm in awe of this majestic post office. It truly is awe inspiring, the building almost Royal in scope--huge! I've never seen such a massive building, as an architectural feat. Most post offices are a simple box or block of concrete or something. Not this. Oh no. It's gorgeous with brick façade, and the people were super friendly and helpful, not as if they were just there doing a job, which they were, but they seemed genuinely glad to be there. I had fun mailing my little parcel, for which I didn't actually need to hunt down a USPS location, but when I saw the building in the distance, I couldn't resist because I felt like if I didn't venture into it, I'd somehow be missing an opportunity. It sounds like I don't get out much for me to be raving about a post office but truly, the people just so sweet! read more

Never thought I'd write a review for the post office, but this location is hands down the best experience I've ever had at a USPS. I'm normally dreading the long lines and disgruntled employees but that's just not the case here. US Post Office - Small but effective - Post Offices Near Me - Napa, California

I dropped off 2 packages on Monday. Today is Wednesday and I still haven't received an email stating they were in transit like I normally do , an hour after dropping them off . Today I go in to find out why. The lady told me to reprint the labels that I used because they would have the tracking number on them. Okay I go get them from home and come back, wait in line and get Leo. I gave him the labels and he tells me that he can't find them in the system. He told me that they were probably at the main office still and I should go there and talk to a supervisor. Mind you it's 5 minutes to 5 at this point and I am not making it across town in 5 minutes. I asked him if he could call for me and he said NO! It was too much work for Mr Leo. And I said that is fine I will just make a review. He told me to go ahead. This was my best experience at the Napa post office ever. I've known Roberto for about 6 years. He is the only staffer I recognize that moved over to the new location after the Napa earthquake destroyed the old post office. He's always friendly but today he was "on a roll!" Which is now our private joke! The cranky staff who seemed to inhabit the place for the last year or 2 were either on break or had finally found a job they actually liked so the energy in the small space was positive & good! I certainly miss the old beautiful building compared to this strip mall looking space but the experience was really nice! Thanks Roberto. The nicest, most helpful post office I've ever been to. I've lived and traveled all over but at this location they went out of their way to offer a pen, get packages where I needed, and allow pick ups. In LA, it's move it or lose it and if it's not using the correct sticker on your package you start over. Here, they help you through the process like you're a patron rather than an expert. read more

The August 2014 earthquake put the often troubled Franklin Station post office permanently out of business. It always had long lines, lousy service, one could count on spending an hour there. This new location is across the street from City Hall. It's a smaller, cleaner location. My wait time was much shorter; I got a nice new fresh set of stamps. It has many of the same employees but has a friendlier vibe. It isn't full service like the Trancas one, but it helps out. read more

Every time I come to this post office I'm met by friendly clerks and amazing customer service. I've put some incorrect information on my packages a few times and they have caught my error on both occasions. A special shout out to Roberto for being extra helpful.
