Denied service. Walked in with a pre-addressed/prepaid shipment to a business. The package contained ammunition and all shipment requirements were covered/defined by the receiving business. While standing at the countered I took notice of the hazardous materials not allowed (a placard on the counter). Ammo was not listed (as it should not be) but I did comment to the counter help that the package did contain ammo. At that point I was told that they would NOT ship ammo (but UPS does all the the time!). I asked why and they said it was their franchise store policy. I asked to see that policy in writing (Erica claimed to be the store manager and provided the info). I was showed a binder that spelled out the obvious categories of explosives, radioactive material, live animals, *AND* firearms. The firearms section said NOTHING about ammo. I told Erica that the firearms section did NOT include ammo. Erica said; "firearms, ammo, SAME THING...". I left the store. So, I hope the owner of the store sees this and educates Erica. read more

Went in to ship some things. I sell tape for a living. I told them I would give them a whole case. I didn't want anything for it but the owner or manager was there. Didn't even look up and thank me. RUDE!!! read more

There's a girl with two lip piercings on her bottom lip that works at this location, and I strongly advise working with anyone but her, she was so incredibly rude to me. I asked over the phone if they shipped DHL packages and she said they did, so I walked in and put my package in an envelope that they sold there and I went to checkout. At the counter, she said they didn't ship DHL, so I said I didn't want to buy the envelope and have literally said "too bad, this isnt my problem. You put your package in there, you owe $5." Which is usually fine with me, I'll pay for a mistake I make but I also told her that I was informed differently over the phone and she said "I don't care, this isn't my problem. You owe $5" and that's when I took a step back and said, "you're being kinda rude to me. I'm trying to explain the situation here." and she said "I don't care what the situation is, and I don't care if you think I'm rude, please pay and leave." So I did, I'm not a confrontational person and I surely don't like arguing in a store... I'm just shocked that this girl has a job in customer service. I hope a manager sees this and talks to her about how to have a professional conversation with another human being in a professional work space. A Cut Above! I usually go to the driving range across from the Domain on Saturday mornings. Today after I had finished I took a quick drive through the Domain and noticed a brand new UPS Store. I had some business documents with me that needed to be copied and faxed so I stopped in. This new location is one of the nicest UPS stores I've been in - very clean, well lit, and organized. I was helped by Jack Cook, the store manager, and within minutes my documents had been copied and faxed. Jack went out of his way to be helpful, as well as to give me a quick tour of the other services the UPS Store offers. I know I'll be taking advantage of their notary services in the near future. There's a UPS Store that's closer to my office but the atmosphere and service don't hold a candle to this one. From now on I'll be heading back to the Domain! read more

The customer service at this location is abysmal. I needed one label printed for an Amazon return and they wanted to charge me $5.00 for one piece of regular print. When I asked about an alternative I was pointed to a self service machine charging $3.00 plus .59 a minute. While I browsed around searching for the Amazon website the computer logged me out charging my card $3.00. The service agent just sat and watched while acting like I was totally at fault. So I got nothing for $3.00 and was overcharged on my card for $15.00.. do not use this location .. Terrible service. read more

I was traveling through Austin on business and realized I had to make some color copies of a proposal for a client. I was staying at the Weston in The Domain and luckily a UPS store has just opened there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, I was able to get my copies made and even overnighted them to my client in under ten minutes! read more

Jack is the absolute most helpful person I've ever worked with to mail a package, bar none. We've come in on multiple occasions and he is always super nice and tries to make sure we get what we need at a (somewhat) reasonable price. I'll agree that the shipping rates here are more expensive (-1 star) but the service is the best in town. read more

I had a very bad experience here that was eventually rectified by calling over and above their heads. The manager at the store insisted that my well over $300 insured two day shipment was handled as it should have been. It did not arrive in two days, and when it did reach the destination city, my recipient was told that they needed to come and pick it up. No attempt for delivery was made. It turns out the reason for that was because the dollar amount $9000 was written on the outside of the box, so the receiving end UPS shipper refused to deliver it. Why on earth someone wrote the value of the package on the outside of the box is beyond my comprehension. I was inconvenienced because I couldn't convince the manager that they had done wrong, the manager was rude and kept giggling at me and saying that their process had been served and I deserved no refund. So going up over their heads and sending a photograph of the box with the $9000 written on it, I did manage to recoup $333 of my shipping cost. If you're shipping out a costly item that needs considerable insurance, think about a different shipper or a different UPS store at the very least. read more

I went into this UPS location to mail a package and to get a document notarized. The person who waited on me was Miranda. She helped me find the right size box for my item I was sending and processed the notary efficiently and quickly. She was super friendly and very helpful. Had the worst experience with Miranda. came in there to drop off a pre paid package. i didn't realized you can't ship packages wrapped in the protective brown paper ? With great attitude miranda handed me scissors, had me cut off all the work i had done the previous night 15 minutes before i had to be at work with no assistance. and then she slaps on my label that's crooked at this point and almost falling off. i asked her if she could get another one with her lack of effort and with eye rolling and rudeness she gets another. i then ask if there's anyway she can put tape on both ends of the label and she reply's " you can pay for it ! " are you kidding me ?! you just had me cut off the entire package i had prepped, gave me attitude the entire time and you can't provide to strips of tape! for working at the domain either the company is too frugal with their resources or she's just really bad at her job. i'd recommend someone mature with a better attitude to be representing your company not some millennial who has an attitude problem. and seriously had she not been behind the counter i wouldn't have guessed she was working there, maybe as a company enforce a more professional work attire since you are at the domain which has luxury clientele coming to your location. won't be using your company ever again! i get better service at usps! read more

I had two pieces of mail ready to go, just needed a piece of tape to hold together. Asked the attendant for a piece of tape and she informed me that there is a line and I would have to wait at the end of the line for a piece of tape. How ridiculous! I will never go to another UPS location again because of this one attendant! There are many places for me to go to mail my packages. read more

Jasmine was really fast and helpful. She took care of at least 7 people while I was there and she got us all in and out as quickly as possible. Previous reviewers are spot on about the service. The staff are genuinely nice every time I go. However, I stopped in today in a crunch to pick up a birthday card for my mom and they told me that they ran out. Also, they charge twice as much as USPS to mail a letter and prices are typically higher to ship packages. As much as I like the folks here, the price is just too hard to justify. For my money, I prefer to mail off my packages and letters at the post office or stop by FedEx Kinko's who seem to have more services and supplies. I only stop here to drop off my prepaid UPS packages and because it's convenient to where I live. read more

These days the "craigslist" realm has grown into a viable resource for all types of commerce. I live in Dallas and purchased a Raypak Natural Gas Pool/Spa heater from a nice couple in Austin. I paid them extra to ship it to me and thought UPS would be a great option. Very Disappointed. They traveled to the store and took time out of their schedule on a Saturday only to be told that store policy kept them from shipping something that used to contain gas...So I guess that means they won't ship stove tops, water heaters, etc even though every appliance I have received from home depot has been shipped UPS ground. Just to clarify There is no residual gas in a disconnected pool heater, especially one disconnected over a month. Thank you for making business even harder to do. Staff hard to deal with and unhelpful, they told the couple the HUB was open til 8:00pm it's not. Didn't offer to clarify with franchise manager. read more

They went out of their way to help me not only pack, but get my weirdly shaped horns and painting safely to it's destination. Thanks again ladies! Their responses left me feeling as though my previous experience with this store was isolated to one employee and this person is no longer a member of the staff. I just moved to the area and have visited the UPS Domain store several times. The store is clean, nice & in a great location. The store has all equipment needed for all your office needs as well as a notary! On top of that the staff is great. Professional and helpful even when the store is busy. Jack is customer oriented & the entire staff creates a pleasant atmosphere. read more

Really not happy with the ups services and insurance claims. We sent our son's college items via ups and they were damaged. Ups and their insurance weaseled out of it, even though the packaged items were obviously damaged from poor shipping and handling. They said they need a pic of the box which was already opened and discarded by an unknowing college kid, so ups said they wouldn't cover. Hmmm...What is the purpose of insurance beside to take advantage of people and charge them more? No luck with this from the ups manager or the ups claims. We ship quite often with our personal and business needs so we know how to pack boxes and haven't had any issues before this, and will not be using ups any longer. Interesting that they would chose to lose business over this and forget about customer service. College kids and parents beware! We have been happy with USPS and FEDEX! read more
