I have to be honest I don't give a shit if it's their policy or not... unknowingly I walked in with a package that didn't have tape on it and for three little strips of tape they charge two bucks. I just think that's a cash grab that has nothing to do with supply. It's obviously not about the cash, it's about the principle. It's strictly a cash grab and they wanna know why customer service nowadays is going down the shitter. I brought in an Amazon box for return, Large but not heavy. No one helped me with the door. 3 people there including the Asst Mgr. I was told it needed the end taped and that they charge $2.00 for taping! I usually give $5 tip for good service. Not this time. 04-30-2026 12:60P I brought it home, taped it and broght it back. The Boulder City UPS store must think that because they're the only game in town that they can squeeze every penny out of every transaction. I brought in an Amazon return, in the original box and I had my URL code ready. I was told that because I, the customer, brought it in UNTAPED that it will be a $2 charge for them to run a piece of tape......REALLY.....they charge for running a strip of tape?!?!?! I told him I'd tape it up, please hand me the tape dispenser....no, we don't allow that.....WT_! I was told that they can sell me a roll of tape for $7. It's not that I can't afford $2, it's the principle, they're looking for ANY opportunity to charge a customer. I'll never go back and because I often go to Henderson, I'll wait and take any future returns to a Henderson location where I've returned untaped Amazon boxes before and was never charged. I will write a glowing review as quickly as I'll write a negative one. Just be aware that this location is not where you want to go for good customer service. read more

Looks like I'm the 3rd person (possibly more) to complain about the $2.00 taping fee for an amazon return. It was literally a plastic envelope that needed one piece of tape and would have taken less than one minute. Most amazon returns specifically say NOT to package the item. Seriously UPS Store, is it worth the $2.00 to lose a customer? Is your business model so tight that you have to charge for a piece of tape?? The branch in Boulder City has handled my special mailing needs since I moved here five years ago. Their friendly staff prints my emails for a small fee. That removes the headache of having to maintain a printer at home. Shipping specialty items like medical samples or modems to Century Link or if you need shipping boxes or other packaging, all provided by this cozy business. Service with a smile is all I've experienced here. read more

Went into this UPS Store for a quick Amazon return. Amazon advised I could simply insert the item in the bubble protected envelope in which I had received it. Period. The desk clerk informed me it was MY responsibility to tape the envelope closed. Since I didn't have tape with me, needed to get it out that day and did not want to buy a whole roll of tape, they BILKED ME $2.00 for an 8" piece of packing tape. A typical roll of 2" packing tape has 110 yards on it so I did the math--at $2 for an 8" piece, they would have had to charge $990 for one roll of tape, a 500% markup! They didn't force me to pay the $2, but it would have cost ME more to go elsewhere with an item I needed shipped that day. So for a penny or two (literally) they've earned this one-star review and guaranteed I will NEVER, EVER set foot in their establishment again. Great business model people. But based on all these one-star reviews, I am convinced you don't give a rip. read more

Do not use this ups store or ups delivery services. I paid for a package to be delivered in three days and it was delivered in 4 days. The total cost was 115.06 for that package to be delivered. On my receipt it says 3 days no where on the receipt does it say estimated delivery in 3 days. My package would have been delivered in 3 days but an employee at the ups facility sorted my package wrong which caused the delay. There for I deserve a refund as this was not my fault. but the ups store in Boulder City Nevada will not refund me the money. They say they have to get an approval from ups them selfs. You need to give me a refund and then you need to work out the details ups. i paid for a service and expected that service to be right. read more

A few days ago I reviewed the UPS store in Boulder City and noted the employees were not following proper health guidelines. They were not wearing masks or observing the distance between persons. Two and a half weeks later I returned to the store to find all the employees wearing face masks. It was interesting that most of the other customers were being conscious of the situation and wearing their face masks as well. This had not been the case before the store set the example. Went in to get a notary as advertised. My papers were time sensitive! The guy behind the counter said that the notary person was not in that day. He did offer another place. The Bank down the road. So that was nice and this thus the 1 star. read more

The employees at this store, especially the girl with the long black hair and long nails, couldn't be anymore less helpful and rude. Why anyone would go here is beyond me. Steer clear of this place if your looking for good customer service. Driving down to Henderson is a better option even if it is less convenient. read more

This UPS Store is conveniently located just off the main street leading into downtown Boulder City. I've visited this store on 3 separate occasions and in all 3 never have I experience an issue. The UPS store staff always greeted me as soon as I walked through the doors whether they were helping someone or not. The one time I went in and the store staff was helping someone out, once done he apologies for the wait and was very friendly to help accordingly. They've always been very friendly and if you had any questions will help answer them with no problem. The parking lot is a little tight, like other locations, so be prepared if you don't get upfront parking to take a short stroll to get there. Other than that they will handle all your UPS needs; they offer a variety of services, you can check the website for more details. I'd say if customer service was an issue before it is not now at the present moment. read more

We had to get an apostille stamp from Carson City. We did a self-addressed overnight envelope to return the document to our home. The UPS Store charged us ~$40 to overnight it to Carson City and $60 to overnight it back. I asked why the difference in price and our "knowledgeable and friendly" UPS store said, "We are not owned by UPS so I don't know why." The document went to the mail room last Thursday and our "overnight" was supposed to arrive today at 10:42. Instead of using the address we provided, our local store put their address in so when I was notified that it was delivered, I called them to find out why it wasn't at my step. They once again told me they are not owned by UPS!!! I called UPS and their process is a month-long claim process but that doesn't help when I need the documents in my hand. I asked my wife to call the local store and ask for Giselle, the name of the lady who signed for delivery, and (surprise, surprise) she's at the local store and the same lady that said she couldn't help me. She had just signed for an overnight but a desperate call for "where's my overnight" help didn't register with her "knowledgeable and friendly" mind! Don't use UPS and if you do, use one in Henderson, not the Boulder City store. read more

I have stopped by this UPS Store a handful of times over the last year to get my signature notarized, at the cost of $5.00 per signature. While not cheap, it was comparable to notary services offered at other establishments. We went in today to get ONE signature on a DMV form and we were charged $15.00. Of course, the cost was not shared with us until after she had notarized the document. So, now you are paying triple for the same mediocre service. Drive 15 minutes to Henderson - you'll thank me later. read more

Very rude staff. Shipping a package with a $30 shipping cost and she wanted $2 for a 4" piece of tape! She was pleased when I said no thank you and walked out. She obviously did not care about customers and if I was the owner she would be gone! I will drive to Henderson to ship something before I would give this outfit ANY business. Really upset coming from this place. I come in very late sadly because of work for a package that requires a 21+. Only store in Boulder City where else could my package go. I ordered my shipping thro UPS. Find a new desk lady for the last few hours. Felt as if she was lying and I was talking to a robot. I have used the UPS Store several times and shocked at the rudeness as well as lack of knowledge by the Store Manager, for one. They can do better, right?! In case you do not want to read the story, I put the figures below for you to judge for yourself. I really dislike posting negative stuff about a small business as it does stick around on the web for a long time. I also imagine the woman in the UPS Store here in Boulder City may be handicapped and so, may not understand how to quote shipping rates. But this is the third time I have been in to get shipping quotes. And each time I got one, I nearly fell over backwards. Twice I walked out and twice I got much better rates just going to the USPS. And today I did again. I went in today to ask about cheapest insured signature requires rates to ship my electric guitar in a small flat electric guitar case to Illinois at standard ground (the cheapest!) that measures in a box I made at 41" x 15" x 4" and weighs 22 pounds, which, on the USPS site, is not oversized (they give you 130" -longest length plus girth- and 70 pounds). The woman did a little measuring, a little weighing and told me $4hundred and I didn't even hear the rest. I asked her aghast, "what's the CHEAPEST rate?" And she did some computer poking and some looking around and said $199. I went to the Post Office and shipped the Guitar insured, signature required for $68. UPS Store Boulder City 1st Quote: $400+ 2nd quote: $199 USPS actual cost I paid: $68 Take it or leave it, but I'm not going back to this clip joint. read more

BOULDER CITY UPS store is the worst business I have encountered for customer service. The employees are either unskilled or just liars. I took package to be mailed, paid their exorbitant price to mail a small TV which arrived at destination in destroyed box. Discovered customers cannot make damage claim..ups Store employees must. Store employees denied this. A month later after believing their lies, ups finally told me the UPS store had told me the box wasn't packed correctly and if I sent it..they would have no responsibiliry! I've been getting my mail at this store for years now and the service just keeps getting better, even when I don't think that's possible. Everyone greets me, knows my name and my mailbox number; and automatically grabs my mail for me. One Christmas Eve I had a perishable package of seafood arrive which I was not expecting, and they called me to come and pick it up. If I'm expecting anything important, they will ask if I'd like to be notified when it comes in. Laura, the manager, couldn't be any nicer. All the employees are awesome! read more

Avoid this location. Shipped out a rather large box and the exact dimensions were printed on the bottom of the box it was a Uline box. I looked up a quote on the ups.com website and it said to be around $31.00. The person behind the counter Melanie over quoted me on all 3 dimensions by 1 inch. She added 3 inches all around to height, length and width making the price hike to an extra $14 dollars. Might not sound like much, but imagine how many people they do this to throughout the year. I did not notice this until I read the receipt and noticed the dimensions she input. I repeat avoid them. read more

Kudos to the staff at the Boulder City UPS Store. I have had a mailbox at this UPS location for 7 years. I am always greeted with a smile and an offer of help. When out of town I can call for my mail and they always send exactly what I've asked for. Yes, UPS is more expensive than the US post office, but the service from knowledgeable and friendly staff is worth it to me. read more

My earlier review is outdated (2012), and have since then received good customer service experience on multiple occasions. A change of staff over the years means a "Hello" at the door when dropping off packages and helpful service with printing invitations and brochures. Prices on stamps and shipping are higher than the local post office as an FYI (about 1 mile down the road), so do weigh your options. read more

UPS should take their name off this store. Each UPS store is owned separately. I have had to use this store for returns on many occasions and have always walked out angry! Their packing material is way over priced, they charge you a daily fee of $5.95 for having your package sent their rather than you home (Fed-EX doesn't charge), and if you ask as question you get nothing but rude comments back from the staff. read more
