Started using this place for delivery and my business mail during Covid and when I started a busy and demanding job with erratic hours. It has helped me manage my package deliveries ever since--a necessity because of the high rate of delivery theft in downtown Brooklyn. Management here is friendly, thoughtful, and professional. I visited this UPS store countless times when it was my default drop off spot for Amazon returns. It's been about a year since Whole Foods has been designated as my default drop off, but I had the opportunity to drop off my return here since it was heavy. I asked Amazon customer service if UPS could be my drop off to complete this return transaction. Past experience here can be summarized as long lines moving very slowly but more importantly, nasty/impatient customer service. My recent visit was no exception. For one thing, the person behind the counter wouldn't affix the label to the box for whatever reason. Okay so I attached it. No big deal however the other employee behind the counter did so for his customers. Another thing which seemed to bother him was the taping of my box. He said it wasn't taped properly which meant I had to buy a roll of tape (for $8) or pay $1.64 for him to add more tape. Obviously I chose the latter. The problem with this UPS is the overall attitude of some of the staff, same familiar faces. I'm actually glad I go to Whole Foods for Amazon drop offs. This UPS, thanks to mainly two employees, is a headache to do any business. One star due to it being convenient on Court Street. read more

Active discrimination based on race and gender consistently happens from one employee. To the private owner: you have a log of complaints citing discrimination, misogyny, and harassing and disrespectful behavior from 1-2 employees and have taken no action to protect customers. I have repeatedly witnessed and been subjected to this abuse on 5 different occasions. The majority of your employees have been phenomenal over the years. So helpful, kind, efficient. It's one employee, whose actions were backed up by the manager, that uses degrading and abusive tactics at every interaction. If something is not exactly how he decides it should be on that certain day at that certain minute, or you do not agree to do as he orders, despite company policy and industry norms, service will be withheld, delayed, or the customer will be verbally abused. On two different occasions he made up fake policies to justify his actions. The policies don't exist according to Amazon supervisors who did investigations. Other customers have experienced the same pattern of made up policies. Owner - your choice to retain this employee puts you in violation of the city's anti-discrimination laws. There is no excuse or explanation for continuing to employ someone who continues to demonstrate illegal, discriminatory, or abusive behavior. This has to be, by far the worst UPS location site. The workers are rude and don't follow the return guidelines by Amazon. They make up their own return story, to get you to buy boxes, tape, etc. How is this place still open? With all the numerous complaints, everyone here should be fired immediately or go through customer service retraining. The UPS Store in Brooklyn Heights, Montague location, is simply efficient and extremely polite. My return took seconds and the line certainly moved quickly. Cobble Hill need training from this location. Cobble Hill UPS is simply a Horror story!! Fire them all. I'd like to rate them a big fat 0 if I could. read more

I had an uncomfortable interaction with one employee who spoke to me in a very demanding tone about how the QR code needed to be scanned for an Amazon drop‑off. I've never had these issues with any of the other employees here or at other UPS Stores. The way he addressed me felt unnecessarily condescending and rude. I just had the worst experience at this store. I came in with what turned out to be a USPS QR code instead of ups. It was my mistake, I asked a question about it, I received the rudest answer. The main person working there is so mean and unhelpful. He starts any conversation with a customer with a huge chip on his shoulder and treats people horribly. I have had legitimate questions and he visibly rolls his eyes at me and makes fun of me. I know how to de-escalate situations and was incredibly patient and he continues to berate me. Will definitely not be returning to this location. I came here last weekend to return an Amazon package. This was the second time I had visited this location - both times was to drop off an Amazon return. The first time I visited, I was told to sit at a computer where I could print out a label. I printed the label, dropped the package off to the attendant and everything went fine. This most recent time, the only man working in the store was super rude. He shouted at me from across the store telling me that I needed to sit at a different computer to print a label. How am I supposed to know which computer I'm allowed to sit at? I printed my label, stuck it on my package and when I approached the counter to drop the package off, he didn't say anything but made a hand gesture as if to indicate for me to give him the package. Rude but OK. He then asked me how I intended to pay for the package and I said the label is already pre-paid - that's when he told me that it cost two dollars to print out a label. I told him the last time I was there I did not have to pay anything and that if there was a charge, that I would just take the package and drop it off somewhere else. He proceeded to rip off the label off, handed the package back to me and said in a snarky voice "have a nice day". I admit that I was unaware that there was a fee to print labels, but since I made it clear that I didn't pay a fee last time and the label was already printed and placed on the package, good customer service would have been to just accept the package this time but going forward, there is a two dollar charge for printing. The entire interaction felt petty to me on his part, not to mention how rude he was. Now Im aware there is a fee going forward, but I will not be returning and will find other drop off/printing spots with nicer staff whenever possible. read more

It really depends on who is working. There is one guy who is just bad at his job and angry and always trying to overcharge. If you come in to pick up a package he will try to make you pay $7 for it for no reason or say it's not there because he doesn't feel like looking for it. He used to try to make people pay to drop packages off with prepaid labels! He's always got an attitude and is super unpleasant. The other two guys are great and so nice. I feel like he might be their boss which makes me sad for them. read more

Very grateful to the employees keeping this UPS location running right now. I've had to stop by a couple times during Covid (they've been opening at 10am, daily, I believe) and every single time each employee I encounter is so quick to help me out and get everyone in and out quickly. Even at 10am today there were at least 5 people already in line as they opened up, and a steady stream of people followed, and the ONE guy working was going above and beyond to help everyone as quickly as he could. There might be a line if you come here, but I've had luck getting out pretty quickly. read more

I was with a very heavy box walking to the UPS Cobble Hill store because this store webpage says it's open until 8:00 PM on Columbus Day and touts it's the trusted neighborhood shipping expert in Cobble Hill. However, it turned out it's closed when I arrived at 7:30 PM at the store, sweated and exhausted. This is absolutely outrageous! Do they know how much time and energy they'd wasted a customer by overpromising on the website? What kind of "trusted neighborhood shipping expert" this place could be? I have had all of my packages sent to the UPS Store on Court Street for years. I rely on them as our building does not have a doorman. It is the perfect solution. Everyone that works there is helpful and friendly, especially Garth who is kind, patient,professional and can multi-task like no one I have ever seen. I have watched as impatient and rude customers have projected their frustrations onto the staff, but all handle each instance with graceful calm and without confrontation. It is always a positive experience, my packages (sometimes precious cargo) get sent on time and received in good order, what more do you need? Summary of last three visits: 1. I carried package in. Told that they won't take Amazon return packages. Have to take it somewhere else 2. I needed to buy a label but price was $20 higher in store than quoted on UPS site. "That's a one-time website deal." wtf? 3. I needed to print a label from a PDF file. Waited in line for 15 minutes. Told that you have to rent one of their computers for $2 to print a label (you can't email them the PDF and they can't print it with a tracking#). Typing my google password into a 15yr-old public Windows PC is a box of nope. Expect a DMV-like experience. Don't expect them to help you solve a problem. read more
