I don't know if my issue is store related or policy change, but I felt it was ridiculous. I have an Amazon return. I didn't print the labels because previously Amazon sent QR codes that could be scanned At ups off of the phone and labels are printed. Quick, easy, convenient. It's been standard for over 2 years when I've done returns. When I checked my email At ups, I found it wasn't a QR code, but a shipping label. I asked about getting it scanned and the label printed. The response was: "You can email us at x1234@something.com, we can then print and we will charge you $2." This was the only offered solution. A process that was harder and costlier. Then I was stared at. I asked why the change and got a shrug. It was about an 70lb or so item, but I carried it back home and printed out the labels. Yes I could have saved myself the headache if I hadn't assumed that the past method I've used many times was still active, but the point is that this response was frustrating and it shouldn't cost me $2 to print a label that ups would have had to print if I'd just had them come to pick it up at my house (an option a available that I didn't do because ups consistently fails to pick up and ignores my package and just drops off labels.) My frustration is with ups in general, but also the complete lack of caring from the individuals at this location. It left me wondering if the information was even accurate. Communication and customer service isn't just about the information, but also how the information is delivered. Additionally they stood around and ignored me when I first walked in, no greeting or acknowledgment and I had to grab their attention for service in the first place. They're more than happy to leave you holding/balancing heavy items while they talk to you. This is an after thought because this is a norm for this location and I didn't even think about it until writing the review. read more

Despite the website specifically stating that this location has notary services, they DO NOT have a notary. There is also a large sign on their wall advertising notary services. Nope. The person at the counter explained that each location is independently operated and they just all use the same national website and signage. She did not seem interested in helping me to find a notary other than repeating that they did not have one. It would be great if they kept a note of the closest one, or even offered to give me a number to call and see if the other location had one - I cannot possibly be the only person with this need. Also I was the only person in the store, it isn't like I was holding the line up. I understand that helping a customer with something they don't sell is not necessarily their job, but a little effort to offer assistance would have gone a long way with me. read more

I frequent this UPS store often! They're one of the best stores I've ever been to. Very convenient for AMAZON returns. Of course as some many know UPS is a bit more expensive then USPS. Nicole specifically is the best. She's always pleasant, kind, and supportive. read more

My sister, who has since moved back from living in Buffalo for 5 years for school, shipped a package she thought would be handled carefully and even put the object she was shipping properly in the box before shipping. It's been about a month since she moved back and we received the package well past this time, but upon opening it up, we realized in horror that what she shipped had been mishandled and destroyed by whoever shipped the box. It doubly sucks when the object that she was shipping was something I had handmade for her, so I'm a little more pissed off than she is. Very disappointing, and if I could I'd give this establishment zero stars for the lack of care that was put into placing this object correctly, I would whole heartedly. Disgraceful! read more

I use this location fairly frequently and as far as UPS locations go, it's a good one. They have two counters and the wait isn't usually too long. The staff has always been friendly and I haven't had issues with basic returns, which is most of what I do. In general, UPS can be a bit of a pain if you're shipping things in your own boxes and the sizes are a little off from what's on their pricing chart. I've had times when I've left and shipped with USPS because the shipping cost with UPS was absurd. That said, that's a UPS issue, not this specific location. Still thought I'd mention it though. If you're looking to ship something it might be more cost effective to use their box, or at least to know dimensions/costs in advance. read more

I needed to return something I got during the holidays, so it's just been sitting in my car because I thought for sure that the process was going to be complicated and draining. Wrong! I walked in and there were about six other customers there, but the employee saw that I had a return and I was done with the process in under a minute! All that pushing it off for nothing! read more

Ever since the management changed here, it has been a complete nightmare. My rating before was 5 stars. My heart is absolutely broken.

I've only been in here for basic package drop offs (hey-o--can I make a sidenote on how easy it is to return Amazon packages??), but I've always been helped promptly and quickly. Granted, all that needs to be done is to scan a barcode and print a label, but the employees have always made it a pleasant experience. I've never bought any boxes or had any printing done, but would absolutely recommend The UPS Store for your basic packaging/drop off and maybe printing needs (I don't believe they can print postcards unless you bring in your own cardstock, but can do basic printing for you). read more

Stopped by here on the way and needed to mail some photos. They take fedex envelopes abs the employees were so nice and helpful. We were gunna buy a whole other envelope and they let us know it was no problem to use the one from fedex. They said hello to me and everyone person who came in and both employees were very polite and helpful. The customer service at this UPS location is horrendous. I've had multiple problems with them. But today takes the cake. I came in with a package and a return slip and it needed 4 inches of tape to apply the return slip and finish sealing the package. They said that they will not provide any tape unless I pay them two dollars or buy my own. I Immediately left and went down the street to the other UPS store where the gentleman not only offered to seal the package but provided excellent support. I rarely use UPS and I am reminded today as to why. The service here is subpar and the workers are very rude. When I walked in, I did not get a greeting at all. So I did a review of another UPS store on Elmwood. Writing that review I was reminded of this location. We have been here a number of times over the past year to send packages. The staff here are not as friendly and helpful as I have seen elsewhere. In addition, I have found it costly. The prices for their supplies are high compared to Staples etc. All but one time we went we had to wait for a long time, mostly because there were not enough people working the counter. I usually use USPS but decided to come to UPS this particular day. The young lady that help me was pleasant. However we had a shipping issue to which my package was returned. I went back to the store to speak to a manager to see if my package could be reshipped as I did not want any monies back. When I asked for manager she politely went to get him in which he basically was going to blow me off until I asked to speak to him immediately. The manager was very rude and argumentative. When I asked for his manager (the store owner) he told me "she just going to back me up" and decided to give me the store email. I don't care if she backed you up; I asked for the information which you could have politely given and nicely sent me on my way. If you don't like customer service don't work in it. The customer may not always be right but there is still a right way to treat them even if you can't give them what they want. read more

This place gives the post office a run for its money in terms of sheer miserableness per visit. Ever since the advent of UPS' brilliant new policy of halfheartedly attempting one delivery and then dropping packages (the next business day -- which is fun when you were expecting something on a Friday) at the nearest "access point" I've found myself spending quite a bit of time at this location. Usually to retrieve one package on average I spend no fewer than fifteen minutes waiting in line while the customers attempt to outdo the lone clerk in a battle for who can move more slowly. Frequently I can hear at least one other employee in the back, but even in the middle of the Christmas season the after work hours only saw one person working the desk. Have I mentioned that the service is slow? I'm pretty sure purgatory hosts less of an interminable wait than this UPS Store. Once I finally reach the counter, ID in hand, the clerk disappears to the back for several eternities. If I'm waiting on more than one package, no matter how small, they're retrieved one at a time. The (glacially slow) clerk is at least generally quite friendly, even when flustered, which gets a star. I'm not sure any locations are better, but I certainly hope so. read more

The UPS Stores are franchises; this one is owned by a friendly couple who offer good customer service. Everything you need to pack and ship just about anything is available right here, along with greeting cards & local post cards. You can rent a mailbox here, too. Open evenings until 9. Oh my goodness! I was calling to check on my package and the owner, Steven Vanknapp was extremely rude. I was visiting a friend who has a mailbox at that particular store and had my child's medicine sent to their P.O. Box. When I called to ask about it, the owner of the store was the most sour glass of spilt milk have ever spoken to. I went to this store to drop off an amazon return. I didn't have the shipping label and asked if a new one could be printed. Something I have done countless times at other locations without issue. The dumbasses that worked here were flabbergasted by this request and told me that I had to go to a UPS shpping facility to get one. Apparently, printing UPS shipping labels isn't sonething this UPS Store does. So I went home and printed one and then came back and left the package with them. I feel like this location gets a bad rap, but it's fine. Beatrice has a dry sense of humor, but I adore working with her--she knows her stuff, she works at the pace that she's absolutely certain she's doing her job right, and she tries to juggle multiple customers at once when she can. Honestly, the store is understaffed for how busy it gets in the evening, but I suppose that's corporate for you. read more

Had a nice experience here -- Steve at UPS was really friendly and helped my kids find markers and highlighters so they could draw on the envelope we were sending to their cousin.
