Came in to ship out some Christmas gifts that I couldn't take with me on the plane. Everything was going fine until some young lady came in to ship a piece of carpet and the manager (seemed Indian or Pakistani) was incredibly rude and loud mouth to her. Honestly I was so distracted I couldn't even pay attention to what I was doing. Imagine walking in somewhere to give someone your business and they treat you like if you were some sort of animal. The employee that took care of me was nice but everyone there seems like they hate life and I think I know why, the awful manager (acted like one telling others what to do) of the store. I worked for UPS for over 9 years and I can tell you I would have fired this guy in a heartbeat. I literally went to three banks and two other UPS stores before stopping here. I needed something notarized, and every time I went to a bank their notary was not in their office, not in for the day, or they didn't have any notaries within their staff. I went to two other UPS stores, which had notary signage on their store front. Needless to say the stores I visited prior to this UPS store did not have a notary on staff either. Upon entering this particular UPS store. I was greeted by Viktor. He also just so happen to be the notary at the store. I was so happy to have found him I almost hugged him. Not only did he quickly notarize my paperwork, but he was very sweet and asked if I needed help with anything in addition to the notarized document. I asked them how much cost if it arrive 2nd or third day and they still applied overnight shipping so the price was still expensive..They did not told me there is cheaper option(2nd day air is third times cheaper but i noticed this after). Well, that was easy. This UPS store is a full service store for mail and alternative shipping methods. I usually bring my completed packages there for them to send via UPS. Not a lot of activity but I will say that they are two the nicest people always willing to help. They greet me with a smile and are pleasant until the end of the transactions I like this establishment and hope that more people would use some of their many services including a USPS mail drop off point. read more

I've tried numerous times to give this store an opportunity but it's no longer worth it. I came in today to return a couple of packages and was told I would be charged $1.00 to tape my box. When I said never mind and proceeded to leave, I was told they would waive the charge. I left anyway and drove directly to the Garden City location. The Garden City location associates were very nice and taped up my box free of charge. When I asked was there a charge to tape the box, the associate said "oh no", a lot of people come in needing their boxes taped. I will never return to the Carle Place UPS, and will continue to conduct my business at Garden City. Updated to respond to business. I'm really not interested in hearing about your "high quality materials, expert labor, and overhead expenses", when you're charging a $1 for a strip of tape. The fact that you would waive the cost when I decided to leave, speaks volumes. So I went to return an Amazon package here. They were going to charge me $3.47 just to print the shipping label. Lucky for me their printer was broken so I had to go to the ups store in Garden City where they only charged me $1.00. You can imagine my surprise. I came back to the Carle Place store to ask why there was such a big discrepancy. I was kindly told this company is franchised so individual stores can set their own prices. I usually go to the East Meadow location, but the Glen Cove spot was on my way home from work. I had trouble finding my UPS return bar code on the Amazon app and I asked the older gentleman for assistance. He looked through my phone and attempted to help, but after 2 seconds of scrolling he said, "I can't help you with this, too." He then retreated to his seat to play on his phone. I finally found the bar code, and the younger gentleman took my item which was in a plastic bag. He packed my item in a clear plastic bag, printed my label, and then tossed my plastic bag at me and said, "Go throw this out." Like I'm this character's peon. Not even a "please". These might seem like trivial gripes, but the level of customer service at this location is deplorable. I've been to this location one other time, and the older gentleman was being unnecessarily rude to other customers. Key word = "customers". Miserable little man. Don't frequent this store or give them one thin dime. The minute you walk in, everyone working here looks at you like you have 16 heads. To the manager, it's a UPS store, not nuclear power facility. We needed to have documents notarized which we explained contained wills, and were told the notary could not notarize our docs without the required number of witnesses. -- So, we came back with another witness. At that point, the notary asked to see our identifications which we presented. Then, he said "oh wills -- I cannot do wills not marriage licenses. You need a lawyer." Our witness had gotten her will notarized at this location years ago and said so -- then she asked if something had changed. He said "oh - I just got my notary last year -- so I don't know." It was clear the guy was either completely misinformed or didn't want to do his job because we had no problem locating another notary at a bank who completed the notarization. read more

Walked inside the store and there was a young lady who was taking care of a customer, after she was finished, she proceed to go to the back and plop down on a chair and started browsing through her phone. She could've helped me but her phone was more important. Then this gentlemen came and helped me with my packages however, I made a mistake with one of my package and with visible annoyance he proceeded to throw the package back on to the scale and told me I had to fix it. Which I did, no big deal, a customer can make a mistake but do you have to visibly show your annoyance? It was literally 1 package out of the 4 I was shipping. I always drop off my amazon stuff at different ups locations and they never asked me to pay for printing my labels (QR code or not) and they're always so nice and welcoming. this location was on my way from work so I stopped to drop off my package, what a mistake! I received the worst customer service from the man working there and on top of that he wanted to charge me $3.21 JUST to PRINT my labels!!
