I went in to send a shirt and an amp to return. No problems at all, very friendly service and also sociable. The guy wanted to know what the case on my phone was. The best part is that when i was unaware of how much mailing a shirt would cost, he recommended me to send it through USPS. At first I said since I'm there I'll send it there I mean it couldn't have been that expensive. Turns out it would have costed more than what it was to send my amp. This weekend I was visiting my sister in VA from out of town. I needed to ship back a few pair sneakers that I bought and I decided to go to the UPS store. I hardly ever do any shipping, but as soon as I walked through the door Hassan gave me his attention. He was very knowledgeable and explained the best process for me to ship! This is one of the best shipping stores I've ever been to because of the positive vibe you get as soon as you walk through the door! My mom paid $170 for a letter that should have been delivered within three days. She specified that she needs a package delivered before Friday and how much would it cost for that. This was Tuesday. The person who helped her told her it would arrive in three days (somewhere between Thursday or Friday) and it would cost $170. This was a very urgent package, otherwise she wouldn't pay $170 for a letter to be sent. She doesn't work right now and used the money she uses to basically survive. After checking the tracking number, it will not arrive until Monday. She went to the store today for some sort of solution and they were not helpful at all. The least they could do is give her some sort of refund. There is no way she would pay that much or even sent it to begin with if she knew it would arrive on Monday. It's so unfortunate because my husband works for UPS corporate and the culture there is so much different than the individual stores in regards to customer service. Employees need to be trained better to communicate the correct information. Not everyone has unlimited amount of money. We are talking about almost $200 lost for a letter to be sent. She was helped by an employee named Rob who was very rude and basically upset at my mom who is a senior resident. Mohamed was at least trying to understand. Super disappointed. The people are what make the experience and Rodney is an extremely valuable asset to UPS. I needed to return west coast based cable equipment and we were having trouble with their process. I had to leave the store so Rodney said he'd give me a follow up call when it was sent out. He actually found a return shipping label provided in the box but it was for another shipper - regardless, Rodney gave me a call to tell me he'd be dropping it off there on his way home after work. I didn't even pay anything! Amazing customer experience and I will make sure to go out of my way to use this location and Rodney's team for any shipping needs. read more

I stumbled across this location after accidentally visiting the Centerville Post office and having a not-so-good experience (out of boxes of a certain size) which led to my hunt for a store to purchase a box to package gifts. When I walked in the two clerks greeting me and immediately asked if I needed any assistance finding a box. The boxes on display were not what I was looking for but I informed them that I wanted a shirt size box in length and one was immediately brought out and the base of the box was taped right away. I had holiday tape with me and with no issues was given an untapped box with the response "here is another box, someone will purchase the same size before too long." I shared my story of the morning which solicited a few laughs. My box was filled with peanuts, shipping options given to get my box to its location in time for Christmas was explained clearly and within 15 minutes or so, everything was boxed and ready to be sent off. What a great experience!!! I forgot the name of one of the guys but the guy we helped me directly through the entire process was Pranav. It felt as if friends were helping me and that was a great feeling. This experience helped rest my morning and made the mistake of going to Centerville not such a big mistake at all. read more

Be careful if you rely on the word of the customer service on the delivery date of your package. I was promised that an important package would be delivered by a certain date. However when that date arrived and the package had not yet been delivered I called the store. I was told that the package would not be delivered on time and that it was not their fault since"they had done everything correctly," Instead it was the fault of UPS. I was also told that they could not promise that a package would would be delivered by a certain date, although they had made that exact promise 2 days earlier. In short, once the package leaves their store they bear no responsibility for its delivery. read more

I would have giving 5 stars but I am giving 4 stars due the service I have got from the UPS. Don't get me wrong, the two gentlemen that works in the store are very nice and friendly. Specially, the manager Rodney was extremely honest and helpful with my package claim that has being damaged by UPS. The UPS refused to pay for my package that they have damaged and when I ask them to return the damaged item back to me, the UPS didn't even knew where the package was located it at. After almost 3 long months of going back and forth with UPS, Rodney was there guiding me through with claim. Every time I come to this location it's a pleasant experience. The folks behind the counter are fantastic. On multiple occasions I have dropped off Amazon return packages and they have taped them up and added the return label without me lifting a finger. The customer service here is awesome!!!! read more

I have been to this store today as I needed to print out some documents. I've asked first if I can pay cash as I did not want to use my credit card for a charge of less than a dollar. When it came to paying for my print outs of 6 pages (72 cents) Rondey the cashier insisted to charge me a dollar for the use of the computer and that I should have used my credit card like every one does !!!!! and when I told him that the other cashier did not charge me the same the last time he acted very rude saying that I should be grateful that he has charged me only a dollar. . . a behavior that can not be tolerated. And when I told him that I will contact the corporate for an official complain he said yes take the receipt and do it. I would never recommend such a store to any one. read more

I needed some copies made quickly for a meeting that was to take place the next day. Was going to Staples on Lee Jackson Hwy. because I believed it would be cheaper than UPS; but due to shortage of time I went to UPS because it is closer to my home. So glad I did; Rodney advised me the prices and made saving suggestions. He even cut copies for me which improved my preparedness for the next day's meeting. Each customer that entered the store received friendly and informative service for their task. Next time I will go directly to UPS. read more
