Instead of opening the mail directed to a business, which has been a custom in the US for maybe 250 years, they just put it aside. And then they were gone. Signing in front of the notary that I must, but bring in witnesses while notarizing my document, I almost sure witnesses don't need to be there, just the notarized person. I took my items to UPS Store #0275 in Kings Contrivance, due to the bulk of the items and my desire to patronize a local shop in my community. I've made returns to Amazon there and its been a pleasant experience, friendly staff just doing their jobs, no complaints. Well, my latest experience makes me want to issue a warning to future would-be customers: perhaps consider taking your business and packages elsewhere. This shipment to Chicago was 3 items, which I was told would need their own boxes. Fine - $25 per box. Then came the shipping - $68. Total - $143. OK - it sucks, but at least its on its way, new couple will be thrilled. NO. According to UPS, they made 3 attempts to deliver the package (which were NOT documented and they would not tell me the timetable upon request), and when any of those "attempts" failed did they call the phone numbers I gave to inform the shipper (me) or the receiver (my cousin) that they were trying to deliver? Nope. Did they leave the packages at the local shipping hub and offer pick-up options? Nah. What did they do, you ask? They shipped them BACK TO THE COLUMBIA UPS STORE #0275...Just like that, $143 up in smoke. Long, protracted story short (Too late), after contacting UPS Claims, Support, the store and the Better Business Bureau, I was, with so very little endeavor at civility or negotiation, brutally rebuffed by the store. Now, perhaps this is an isolated incident. But, in good conscience, I felt it prudent to warn others that you'll get no advanced notice of this outcome should you bring your shipments here. You'll get assumptions about what you ought to have known could happen, and they'll just take your hard-earned money and smile because they know you have NO RECOURSE for their lack of customer service. read more

I went to bring a box in to ship back a return and without so much as a word, he brings a different box from the back already packed up and told me the total was about 5 dollars. I'm wondering why am I spending money on a box if I brought my own box with me? I asked him why he didn't use the box I brought in and he said it was too small, yet he didn't say anything before taking my box to the back to pack. He was incredible unfriendly and said he had already packed it. After a discussion about the fact that it fits in the box I brought and I didn't ask to buy a different box, he unpacked it and or my product on the table then proceeded to ignore me and take other customers. After 2 customers (one of which he was annoyed with that he was not paying with cash and it was a purchase under five dollars..not sure why a huge parcel company would not allow for smaller purchases with credit or debit), he eventually used the box I brought with me and didn't say anything else to me. Other customers observed his rude behavior towards me and gave me sympathetic looks. This was a horrible experience. I will not be visiting this location again and will likely use FedEx for all similar shipping needs. With this many poor reviews, the company should audit this location's customer service and retrain him. read more

I called the store for a price quote to print coil bound books. After reviewing the specs several times I received the quote of $2300.00 which was acceptable to me. I send a pdf file for the store to review and got a call back that a price mistake was made and the new price was going to be $7600.00! I think the store employee needs to have a better command of the English language and be better trained in printing specifications. I had the job done elsewhere. read more

Super rude people work here. Both seem to hate their lives and their jobs. Every time I've come I've had a bad experience. The most recent time I went in, I said hello (I was the only customer in there) and the guy just stood in front of me working, on what I assume was a previous shipment, for a good 5 minutes before even acknowledging my presence. After he finally acknowledged me, he started to get angry that I didn't understand exactly how an amazon return worked since it was my first time. He raised his voice as he proceeded to tell me I needed to know what the tracking numbers are and that the QR code I had was not enough. Finally, he calmed down enough to explain to me what he needed. Once that was out of the way he started to rip the bag I brought in, with some of my stuff still in it that was completely unrelated to my return, out of my hands because he said he needed a bag! Horrible service. I arrived 5 minutes before closing time and the door was locked. The guy inside opened the door but refused to help me with a misdirected package. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS STORE! I've learned my lesson, never again! The owner of this store is out to take your money, and NOT to provide you with service. Yes, they do provide USPS Priority Mail Service he grunts, but be careful -- he doesn't tell you this until after you've paid -- oh, no he says, he won't provide the tracking number, they don't do that. PLUS, he charges MORE for Priority Mail Service. UPS Shipping Service? "Yes, give it to me" he grunts again, but be careful here, too -- he will charge you extra but don't provide the same service as UPS and won't follow their policies. All this and RUDE, too! It's worth the drive to the UPS Service Center in Burtonsville to have it done right. Again, don't give this price/service gouger your money! Not having verified their hours, I showed up 10 minutes after closing to drop off an Amazon return and did not realize it until I walked up to the door. As I turned to leave, the gentleman inside came to the door and called me back to take my package. Since it saved me a trip back the next day, this was much appreciated. I will never come here again! I will drive out of my way to go to another UPS store. One that actually appreciates my business. I purposely left my box untapped just in case he needed to see the contents or needed to do something else. I have had this issue before where I have tapped up the box and the agent needed to get inside the box because I forgot to do something. The owner immediately told me that he is going to charge me $1 to tape my box up. I looked at him and said "Are you serious?" he said yes, now next time you will tape up your box before coming in. I am 8 months pregnant, and the box was not light. We had a heat advisory that day. So I was not going to walk to the grocery store buy packaging tape, then tape my box up, and walk all the way back to the store. The owner obviously knows this, and is taking advantages of UPS customers. When I checked my receipt to see the charge it says Misc Taxable. So, I was also taxed on top of the ridiculous $1 charge. read more

If I could give negative stars I would the man there an older Asian gentleman didn't even look at me when I entered or said hello there should be no reason I have to say hello to you before you do. Just dropped off a package and asked for a receipt to which he responded with it's not even going out until tomorrow. Got a receipt and it is hard for me to not say thank you to someone but I just couldn't for this man never once did he look me in the eyes or say thanks have a good one anything. The absolute worst customer service ever. I went there to ship an item that I had a prepaid label for. After waiting a few minutes for the clerk to finish a personal conversation he finally decided it was my turn. I needed a small shipping envelope for my item and was told I had to pay to have it packaged. I said I didn't want to use an envelope because I was shipping sunglasses so I would rather have a box. The clerk immediately waved me away with both hands, starting chatting in what I assume is his native language, and waved the customer behind me to come around me. At this point I'm a little confused because all I wanted to was purchase a small box and send the item out. I asked if this is how all customers are treated and his reply was more chatter in a different language. Alright then, I guess I'll go to another UPS store. The sad part is, this isn't the first problem I had at this store or with this gentleman. A few years ago I shipped a couple cable boxes back to the cable company. Prepaid shipping labels so I didn't much of it. I did not receive a shipping number or confirmation number which was a mistake because a few weeks later I had the cable company calling asking why I never shipped the units back. Bottom line is, don't use this location for any service under any circumstances. There is nothing trustworthy about this place. read more

Similar reports for several visits. It's always a different person at the counter, but they are consistently cold and unfriendly. On my most recent trip, I called ahead to see if they offer Color Printing. The fellow said yes, and I asked how to bring the data. He said "Flash Drive" and I asked if I could come over right away. He said simply, "Yes" and hung up. I arrived 15 minutes later, and the same person told me I would have to come back in 3 hours, because his boss was not there yet. I pointed out that I had just spoken to him, which he acknowledged, but then he said he did not know how to do it. I persuaded him to call his boss to see if it was simple enough that we could get this done. He did, had a brief conversation, and then walked over to the machine, and again said that I should come back in 2 hours. read more
