I've had good experiences every time I've come here! Recently renewed my passport and the ladies working were very friendly and helpful.

Too bad I cannot select ZERO stars. Postal clerk was rude and condescending. She refused to accept a USPS SmartPost package that clearly had a USPS tracking number, claiming that she was not allowed to accept it and that I had to take it to a FedEX facility, which is absolute nonsense. I even showed her the mailing label with the USPS tracking number. I ended up dropping it off at a different USPS location, who happily accepted it and provided a dropoff receipt. You're much better off visiting the Savage post office. Their staff is always courteous, professional and willing to help. read more

Honestly the worst post office I've ever been to. I don't know what it is about this post office but the person, Barbara, who works here is incredibly rude and condescending. I only came to this post office because it was the closest. I noticed that Barbara was not only unpleasant towards me but the people who were ahead of me in line as well. The people in front of me were all nice and respectful towards her but she just responded in a very rude manner. I just thought whatever maybe she's having an off day. But looking at the other reviews it seems clear that multiple people have the same issue with the same person. After waiting for a while in the line, which is fine since it's a busy day, I already had all my mail passport renewal ready. Barbara tells me that I need an appointment for passports and I just told her I was trying to mail the passport. She then tells me to go back and get an envelope which I forgot to take from the cubby, she then makes me go to the back of line and wait another 15 minutes. Last time I was here to do a passport renewal by mail but I had a different employee and she was better. I didn't have to grab the envelope from the cubby and they actually have a stack of envelopes at the front. I don't know what Barbara's deal is for making me go back to the cubby and being condescending towards not only me but other customers. read more

Unfortunately, this the closest Post services to my location. If I have extra time, I drive to Burtonsville or Columbia, just to avoid this location. The mgr is extremely impolite. Does matter how polite your ask a question, she will always be rude. Location does not have parcel drop off box. read more

At this fulton post office for the passport application, we had not the best experience. I had app for 11.15 am. I reached there approx. 11.35 am. However they did not take me as said I am late and they have next app scheduled at 11.30 for someone. No one showed up in front of me. Technically, the other person is late still they were ready to take them but not me. So, left the place. read more

He is legally bound with certificates to come inside places with me. I am a military veteran and suffer with a neurological condition, and it is necessary that he is my companion. I actually dread sending mail because every time I come here the woman up from is so rude and demeaning.

PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS LOCATION especially if you have prepaid packages. I've sent 30+ boxes out prepaid and never had an issue. I stopped here on my lunch break to drop off another 5 boxes that were prepaid ready to go. Theres only one employe, a large old white woman with glasses, who will make you wait in line, to go through the entire shipping process again to charge you the price they charge in store which is significantlily more expensive because they're removing all of the prepaid shipping discounts. Please drive the extra few miles to a different location unless you don't mind throwing money at usps. read more

My daughters just went for their appointment to get their passport renewed and the lady was incredibly rude to them. Even asking them why they were traveling to Europe during the pandemic and their response was our flights aren't until June and we're hoping everything will be okay by then. My daughter said that she has some old aunts and uncles and Spain and is hoping to see them soon. The lady then told my daughter that they probably won't survive the pandemic and there's no need to go. She told my daughter that her aunts, uncles, and cousins may die before then so why go. I have never had anything but the best service at the Fulton MD Post Office. Barbara has always be very helpful, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable as well as the Clerks. They are the reason I go to Fulton PO and no other. Sounds to me that the complainers are too self absorbed. Their time is more important than anyone else. I have never heard Barbara or the Clerks yell or be disrespectful to any customer. Some people just aren't happy unless they are complaining. read more

Since the postal carriers are a part of this post office, their ineptitude in properly delivering mail and packages accurately needs to be reviewed just as much as the employees at the physical location. I recently had a change of residence, so the community I live in has a special outdoor mailbox center. The main problem is, the physical mailing address and its mailbox designation are two completely different bits of an information, if that makes any sense. In other words, while I might live at 123 Main Street, Bldg. A, my mailbox will have a generic "N 66" on it. Apparently this makes it too much of a puzzle for the mailman to figure out due to the number of mailboxes. In the short time I've lived here, I have not been getting forwarded mail from my previous address, and on a semi-regular basis I get mail belonging to one of my neighbors living a couple streets away -- something the mail carrier doesn't bother to notice, given the completely *different* names and addresses written on it. Also a very BIG issue is that the mail carrier is constantly leaving the WRONG key for oversized packages. In other words, when receiving a big package where I live, a separate large box (at the same location) is provided since it won't fit in the standard residential one. Unfortunately, when the key has a note that says "open box 4Q to get your package," there are like eight "4Q" mailboxes. Standard wisdom says that you open the "4Q box" in the same side as your own, right? Well, if it were only that simple. Supposedly each "4Q" key is unique to a specific box, meaning it will only open ONE of them, not any or all of them. Three times so far I receive a delivery confirmation for my packages (e.g., from Amazon, eBay, et al.), and three times when I tried to open "my" delivery box, I couldn't unlock it. So when I go around trying other "X2" boxes, only to open the one that doesn't even have my package, but someone else's! And once the key is inserted into these special boxes, it cannot be removed to be used again. So then there's that annoying waiting game to wait for the mailman (or residents) to hopefully catch this mistake the following day(s). And so far it has been a losing cause. It's beyond frustrating, and if the reviews of this post office is of any indication, I'm certainly not looking forward of having to going there in person to straighten this mess out. read more

I had never used this post office before but recently moved to the area and started. Yep the lines are long and most times only one person working it. You have to have patience over here. I am used to multiple clerks. I am used to automated machines. With this area growing, they need to expand to automated machines and expand a bit. It does not help that the people I have encountered are very rude. Don't work at a job where you have to encounter customers if you cannot be cordial. read more

I walked in with a small return and was "greeted" by Barbara who looked at me and said "okay you're clearly not ready" then told me to grab a package and fill it out. Yes, the lines can be long at times, but hey....the entire community of Maple Lawn now uses this Post Office. It used to be a rural Post Office and now it's servicing a MUCH larger population, with only two clerks and no automatic machines in the lobby. That said, I know the manager can be abrupt. However, Vincent is a pleasure to work with. He's thorough and informed. I believe the other clerk is named Nam, and she is equally efficient. They are processing a lot of requests and aren't the "chat 'em up" type, but if you need your stuff done correctly, they are great. Just don't think you're going to run in here and quickly get things taken care of...give yourself time. read more

I came to this post office, last week. For some reason, a letter of mine was accidentally mailed to Fulton Post office instead of my address. The manager refused to let me have my letter, because I had an out of state license (though I had the tracking number and an article of my mail). She claimed that I could not have my mail because she didn't know me from the community. This was a refusal of service and could be unlawful. Also, she seemed very prejudiced and racist towards non-white patrons. Don't go here or open a PO Box here....you have been warned. read more

Dear USPS Manager at this location, YOU ARE HORRENDOUS. The customer service at this place is absolutely, and unequivocally the worst customer service I have EVER experienced, simply due to the lady that manages it. She is a middle-aged appearing, light haired, woman who wears glasses and is the only one that doesn't wear a name tag (I believe I know why at this point). I am not exaggerating. I am appalled at the way the manager has dealt with me every single time I go to do something that is supposed to be SIMPLE, like drop off PREPAID MAIL. Incident 1: I had prepaid media mail that I had boxed and decided to drop off with them. When I arrived, I asked if I could just drop it off. She snarled and said " NO!" As I came to the counter when it was my turn in line, she took the box, and said " is this really a book? I don't think I can take this." -It was a Biochemistry book that I had just sold on Amazon. Anyways she adamantly refused to take it. I literally had to describe the contents inside the box to her after already paying postage. This was completely bewildering, but I thought, Ok Maybe she's just having a bad day in her personal life. So I took the box and went to antother post office where they gladly took my media mail and sent it off without any problems. Incident 2: I hadn't been back to this post office for a long time since incident 1 but I have a P.O. Box at this location and decided to get my mail and drop off another book that I had sold. This time she tells me that the postage is dated January 1st and cannot be sent because today is January 3rd. I have never had this problem before... Anyways I did not argue with her this time. I just went to another USPS and they GLADLY took it without any trouble what-so-ever like every other one of my transactions. I also had to pickup something because it wouldn't fit in my P.O. box, and she snarled at me stating that she was "going to send this one back because my name wasn't spelled correctly ( BY ONE LETTER). Anyways, I have become so fed up with this location due to the manager that I went to the Columbia Post Office and Opened a P.O. Box there today even though I spent 140$ to rent a P.O. Box from the Fulton branch. I never want to step foot in this location again. As a former member of the U.S. Air Force and a recent graduate of medical school, I know what customer service is because I have had to live it and utilize it every single day. I can assure you that the manager at this location represents the epitome of terrible customer service to the point where I'm willing to waste 140$ away for the betterment of my business as well as moving on to a more professional and respectful location. I can guarantee that many people have experienced the same injustices and unfair practices from CERTAIN representatives of this location and I certainly wish them the best. read more

Terrible customer service. The Korean lady was very friendly and helpful, but the older overweight white woman with white hair was incredibly rude. I called the day before to schedule a passport appointment and was told that because it was a renewal I could walk in and complete the application. When I came the next day I was not only told to call to schedule an appointment, but the woman (Barbara?) insisted that I hadn't called, even though their phone number is on my call log. In the end I tried to schedule an appointment and she walked away and ignored me, leaving me to find somewhere else to complete my application. read more

Update on my last post on 3/16/18. My daughter is still not getting her mail. A mailbox was installed at her home and a form was filled out to start getting mail there. An e-mail was received verifying the change in status. Barbara refuses to comply with the change and said she "was not going to honor the mailbox because it's not an actual address that mail can be sent to". Which is funny because the house next door on both sides have mailboxes and get mail delivery. So we are now having to show the name on the deed of the house and a certified letter about who is allowed to receive mail at the house, before she will allow mail to be delivered there. This is after the mailbox was officially registered through the USPS and a "welcome package" was received via e-mail from the USPS. In the meantime, my daughter has to pick up her mail at the post office and each time has to endure insults, bad attitude and nasty comments from this imperious b**ch. Turns out that this prolonged ugly incident appears to be personal. Barbara is upset that my daughter's husband no longer lives at the address and she believes he was somehow mistreated by my daughter (utterly untrue), even though he left of his own accord. Why does this even enter into the matter? Her actions are based on personal bias and erroneous assumptions. How very unprofessional and truly surreal!! read more

I am a regular customer at this Fulton Post Office. They handle a large amount of parcels and letters and I have been very happy with the quick delivery of my mail to the recipient. The waiting line is sometimes long but that is a result of the increased homes& population in the immediate area. read more

I'm completely shocked at the level of unprofessionalism displayed and accepted at this location. I had a time sensitive letter to post and was 10 minutes late to the post office. I just wanted to ask the employees there if there was another post office close by that was still open. The door was opened by the Caucasian female worker with white hair to return mail to a patron that didn't have enough postage, so I turned to ask her the question. She slammed the door so closed so hard, while yelling they were closed, that if I hadn't moved my hand quickly, I would have broken fingers right now. Her behavior was totally unwarranted. I was standing there for a good minute or two wondering what would have happened if it was an elderly person with slower reflexes instead of me. The most shocking part is that this sort of disgusting and uncouth behavior has been accepted and tolerated by the Postal Service for so long. read more

I filed a claim for an Express mail envelope that was mailed at Fulton MD post office and it was endorsed business closed the next day at the delivery point and it was an apartment building? I wanted a refund as a notice was not left at the apartment and no phone call to the apartment. The grey haired woman that I assume was the Postmaster of Fulton refused twice to refund as she was insisting to me an apartment building is a "business" and it can be closed? I walked in the door at exactly 4:31pm today and while they closed at 4:30pm there was one customer still inside finishing his transaction and they refused to allow me to pay to mail a simple box and literally locked the door in my face and left me standing there. Ive been coming to this post office for 20 years and I can tell you the Post Master ( Barbara, Brenda ) is a total rude, nasty, witch...I finally stopped using this post office..I started paying my bills online just so I wouldnt have to go to this location and deal with this nasty woman, but sometimes I have no choice when I have to pick up a package and she's still the same old grumpy, witch..I have reported her to the main office twice and I read these comments and I wonder why she still has a job??..Its really sad because last week I stopped in there and had to wait until they opened..Well there were like 7 people in line waiting for them to open...They didnt open at 9 and someone made the comment to knock on the door and 4 out of the 7 people said not to because the Post Master is mean and nasty..We continued to tell each other the issues we've all had with her..Only one person out of the 7 said she was nice...Really is sad you have someone like her representing the post office..Looks like to me you dont care about the customers and support this witch..Now the little Asian lady has ALWAYS been a sweetheart so why isnt she the Post Master???..I would guarantee you she hasnt had one complaint....Get rid of that nasty old woman PLEASE and i will be forwarding these complaints to the proper person so it can be known because obviously they arent reading these reviews... read more
