0 Star -- Absolutely Horrible Customer Service I honestly don't understand how this location is still operating with the way customers are treated. After dealing with this store multiple times, I can say that my experiences have been consistently awful. Every time I've gone in to simply drop off packages, I've been met with an attitude that is completely unacceptable for a customer-service business. The owner/rep has always been extremely rude, rolls eyes, argues, and acts like I'm inconveniencing them simply by walking through the door. On one occasion, I was actually told not to come back simply just dropping off packages that were already paid for. Let that sink in: you walk into a shipping store to drop off packages, and instead of being treated like a customer, you're treated like a problem. And after looking through the other 1-star reviews, I can see that my experience is far from unique. The complaints about rude, dismissive, and confrontational behavior are remarkably consistent. At some point, when this many customers are describing the same type of experience, you have to wonder whether the problem is the customers or the management. I've used UPS Stores all over Columbus and have never experienced this level of hostility over something as simple as dropping off a package. read more

THIS IS THE WORST UPS STORE ON THE PLANET...!!! They don't want to be a UPS drop-off location. They only want to accept packages where THEY SELL YOU the label at their marked-up prices. They LITERALLY refused to let me reprint a label I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR ON EBAY, saying that because they sell labels, it was a conflict of interest. A conflict of interest for WHO? Not for me! I'm the customer... Maybe it's a conflict with YOUR INTERESTS, because you want to sell me a label at marked-up, inflated prices. I needed a document notarized so I went online and scheduled an appointment after work & when I went in they said their notary person isn't there & to try the E Broad location. I said why is it available to schedule an appointment online if you can't even get this service & the young boy had nothing to say other than I don't know & you can try the other location. Standard UPS store. Usually many shipping clerks working, so any lines move fast. Prices are generally higher than the post office, but I'm often paying for convenience. You can rent post office style boxes here for secure deliveries. A nice touch. Parking is awful, and if there are no open spots, I drive by and hit the post office on Grandview Ave or Riverside. My complaint with store #1511 is with the individual who 'helped' me, Shawn/Shaun/Sean, not certain of spelling. I do not need to be treated with a condescending tone nor attitude when I am attempting to drop off a pre-paid package. I had to ask for a plastic sleeve for the paperwork as it is an international package. The package was ready to go. He proceeded to chastise me for bringing in the package without having the invoice docs signed or plastic sleeve. However, he wanted to speak down to me and go on because I used Pirate Ship to prepare my label for this package. If you do not want to take these packages, then note that on your door or wall. If you have such a problem with Pirate Ship, then take that up with your employer, not with the customer. The world is already shitty enough without you being rude on top of it. read more

This is the closest UPS to where I live so I've been a couple times. The parking is one heck of a cluster. Getting in and out can be a pain. There are two doors to get in. One in the front and one on the side. It's very outdated looking but they have everything you need to ship. Most times I've noticed a couple guys hanging out behind the counter doing their thang and they're always quick to help. I have shipped several times from this store and the service and staff ( Sunny is a delight to work with) have always been exceptional. It's usually busy and I have typically waited in line 5-10 minutes but the care and attention to detail is worth the wait. Shipping service: 8 self packed boxes/packages to 3 other states all arrived on time, as promised, in excellent condition. No damage to the box or contents. Packing service, they were able to find a perfect box for an unusually shaped item, packed it carefully. Arrived on time and in excellent condition! Recommend this specific store! read more

Horrible Customer Service located 2868 Steltzer Road (No Name Agent with Red hair) refused to explanation or assist with my UPS return. He told me i can't get assistance without paying for it. I never knew you had to pay for someone to be provide the service that the business offers on top of that why woukd anyone want to use the postal boxes or any other services that are offered with that kind of attitude. There are over 14,734 household in the area of this store , it's a shame that the franchise owner has to lose business or is losing business because of a rude and condescending employee. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have used this UPS for about 2 1/2 years now and I always been taken care of until today. They have a new employee, Daniel, and he refused to take my package unless I bought a tool of tape or paid him to do it. So I paid him and he threw my package on the floor with the others, UNTAPED, so who knows if the 65 items I have in there are going to fall out or make it to their destination!! I said, well I paid you, aren't you going to tape it??! And he just said "yep" and turned to the next customer! As I write this my package is lying, untaped, in a pile of other packages! This location is a little hard to find if you don't live in the neighborhood. Parking is not all that great either. They have their own lot but the front lot (off of 5th) seems like you have to hop the curb to park. I don't have a truck or SUV so I parked on the side. I waited in line and someone came up from the back to take my Amazon return. I asked for a receipt (which my local UPS store always gives). He said he couldn't do that but still got what appeared to be a standard receipt. This is good place to stop in if you're in the area. I'm sure it's busy during certain times during the week. I came in on a Saturday morning and had a longer wait than expected. I would probably wait until I'm closer to home to save myself from waiting in line. read more

The price was one half of what another shipper quoted. I was looking for a notary; called this location because I know UPS stores nationally operate public notary services in their stores -- this location apparently doesn't really have a consistent notary worker. Told me to come back the following day. At $5 a signature it's fairly priced; just thank god I'm not in a rush! I had a great experience at this UPS Store location. I was in and out in less than two minutes. I was greeted immediately by a friendly staff member to whom I explained my shipping needs. Three times now I've had issues with this location. The last was my package being refused and sent back to the distribution center for no apparent reason. In fact, the clerk at the store said there were only 3 packages and mine was not there, so it was an issue of having too many packages to store. I had to drive much further out near Hilliard but the very helpful and understanding clerk there advised that I avoid this location based on issues like this and word of mouth from other customers. UPS employee or manager told me I couldn't send large packages to their site anymore because "they don't make any money" and it's unfair to other customers who pay for mailboxes. The retailer I ordered from offered this location as an Access Point. He told me if I do it again they will refuse the package and purposely send it back because they don't make money off of it. I asked what other location could I send it to instead and just told me to call. The whole interaction was rude and I will 100% not use this location anymore for any mailing services. read more

Don't get a package sent here. Shawn, the manager, will accept the package and then immediately initiate a return to sender. I have no idea if he's running some sort of scam or if he's just spiteful about UPS not paying them enough to act as an Access Point, but that's what he did. He'll make up a story about UPS or the sender initiating the return, but he's lying. The tracking clearly states "The package was refused by the receiver and will be returned to the sender." There are tons of other reviews describing this same issue. I've used this place to ship packages before and have never had an issue with that aspect of the business, but their blatant dishonesty regarding this has put me off ever using this place again and I advise everybody to look elsewhere for their shipping needs. read more

This was the best experience I have had at a UPS! I also watched them be kind and efficient with other customers they served while I waited for them to complete my order. They packed and shipped 5 boxes for me with care and diligence. I think it is also worth noting that they had an appropriate amount of staff working manage the flow of customers. They charge $5 to print off a UPS prepaid label. Printing costs $0.10 per page of black and white at the nearby library. Service was good otherwise but that extra 10% needed to get a package shipped like labeling and taping up is why I go to a UPS store in the first place. read more

I went in to ship a package and needed to print the label at the store. I was told there was a $5 charge to utilize the computer. I was dumbfounded as one can go to the library and have something printed from an email for .10 or FedEx for .49. Needless to say I left and came back. The employees (who were polite) told me it was the franchise's decision to make people pay $5. For a place that claims to be a print shop they're doing customers a disservice. read more

Wow I am disgusted with this store. If I could give negative stars I would. I've been to many UPS stores to do Amazon returns. They have always allowed me to email my label to the store and they print it for me. I was a little frustrated because the manager tells me he won't do it and doesn't care - that ups doesn't print labels. I was made to use the computer and pay 5 dollars to use it just to print 1 piece of paper. I let him know I think it's unfair to charge 5 bucks for a single sheet of paper. He continued to yell at me across the store and embarrass me and tell me to go buy a printer. I didn't even respond at this point. I printed my label and went to the front. The other girl working was nice and I told her I feel bad for you that you have a manager like that. She apologized for the way he treated me and told me he does it all the time. The rudest. Honestly, I questioned one of the employees on the Amazon return policy and he became immediately and aggressively defensive. I had put multiple labels on one box because Amazon had told me to and it was never an issue at my local UPS store but they wouldn't accept it. He raised his voice (I did not) and then He began muttering in stage whispers about me that were very easy to hear. All I did was try to clarify and ask a question. I am a Navy Veteran, and this particular UPS practice is pure bull. Read on. The manager of this store lied about "requirements" to use their computer. He told me he could not print from emails, and insisted I had to come in (the UPS in New Albany always took my emails), then charged me $5 for using their computer as he had insisted I "had" to. I said baloney. And I later confirmed with other UPS stores the it is NOT a UPS requirement, but a choice the individual store makes. I advised him that he was lying through his teeth, and that $5 is bread, milk and cereal for some, that in my opinion, he was gouging, and that I would follow up.
