Stay away from this store -- they are not professional. I paid $525 on August 7, 2026 to ship a…read morepackage to my doorstep in the Dominican Republic. I was told repeatedly, by email and by phone, that UPS would deliver directly to my door and that I would need no broker and no additional fees. None of that turned out to be true, and it ended up costing me an extra $721.53 on top of the $525 I already paid. Here's what actually happened: the store shipped my package with a commercial invoice listing the value of my contents as $4,000, which was wrong. That error caused UPS in the Dominican Republic to bill me 27,754.01 DOP ($474.43 USD) in taxes. The store eventually corrected the invoice to $1,000, but only after I had already paid taxes based on their mistake. On top of that, the store failed to send the required Power of Attorney with my shipment on August 7 -- it wasn't actually sent until August 10, a three-day delay -- yet the document they sent was dated August 7, misrepresenting when it was actually transmitted. I have the emails and UPS International's own records to prove it. Because of the missing/late POA and the invoice error, I was charged manifest correction fees by both UPS (2,727.43 DOP / $46.62) and Dominican Customs (2,757.20 DOP / $47.13). Because no broker was ever assigned to my package, it sat in storage and I was charged another 1,970.72 DOP ($33.69) in storage fees. When I emailed the morning of August 14 to ask who the broker delivering my package was, I was given a phone number and told again that UPS would handle it -- which was false. UPS International had already told me directly that I would need to hire my own non-UPS broker, which I did, at a cost of 7,000 DOP ($119.66). My package was finally delivered the night of August 13 by that independent broker -- not by UPS, and not through anything this store arranged. Beyond the money, the way I was treated was unacceptable. When I emailed the owner about the situation, instead of taking responsibility he threatened to have my package sent back/turned over to the state. He never once offered to make things right or reimburse the costs his own mistakes caused -- he just kept repeating, in condescending emails, that UPS would be delivering my package, which was a lie. When I called the store directly for information, the staff told me they had been instructed not to give me any information about my own package. I paid $525 for a doorstep delivery service that was never actually provided, and their errors, misinformation, and unprofessional treatment cost me an additional $721.53 out of pocket. I would not trust this location with an international shipment. Get everything in writing and confirm every detail independently, because what I was told did not match what actually happened.
