I don't have a need to ship a package very often, but when I do, this is the UPS location I have used over the past several years. Our last visit we needed to return the previous owners license plate from a vehicle we recently purchased in another state. The original owner let us use their plate until we had it register here in RI. As soon as we had the vehicle registered, we stopped by UPS and sent the plate on it's way back home. The gentleman assisting us was polite and enthusiastic. We let him know what was needed, he quickly began the process of creating a label for the package and let us know when the package should arrive, barring any unforeseen circumstances. There was some information on the label that needed to be changed (name spelling), which was quickly accomplished. I wanted to be sure the spelling was correct as the package was being picked up at another UPS store, not delivered to a business or home. We paid a reasonable amount, had the tracking number in hand and were out of the building in just minutes. The package did arrive in the time expected. The owner let me know they had returned the plate to their DMV and that was that. Quick and efficient. Just what you want in a delivery service. read more

Stopped in to do a couple returns. Three separate ones, and it took a matter of a couple of minutes to do it. The young lady that helped me was so helpful and quick. I appreciated the customer service that they provided so that I could do my returns without any issues. Note that if your Amazon returns, tell you that you have to print a label, you have to print it and bring it in with you or he will charge $3.00 three dollars to print it for you. But they will have you do is email them the label and they will print it out and then they would put it on the product to do the return. read more

I have had great experiences at this store using their notary services (easy to make an appointment online!). The staff were polite and helpful -- even scanned my notarized documents and emailed them to me. I've used UPS services at this location and have been very satisfied and would otherwise give this a 5 star review had I not experienced the below. I was recently in to have an important document notarized, then scanned, and the staff offered to mail my documents via USPS. I had intended to go to a USPS location after notarizing and scanning my documents at this UPS store. Based on the assurances of the staff that they could provide correct USPS postage for my USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope, I paid for my USPS postage through the UPS store. The UPS store member did not ask for my return address, he had only asked for my phone number before printing the mailing label, which happened to have my employer's address on it from a previous mailing. Because I paid for notary services, scanning, and the postage, the total was higher than it would've been for just the approximately $8.00 postage for the USPS Priority Mail package. It was not until I left the store that I became concerned that the USPS Priority Mail envelope did not have the correct postage (aka enough!) to arrive at its destination. Sure enough, even though I had questioned the UPS staff member that they could properly post my USPS Priority Mail envelope with correct postage and had been assured they could, the postage provided was for First Class Mail around $6.00 -- not enough for the Flat Rate document envelope. I immediately signed up with USPS to track the package, and warned my employer about the potential return of this item. I received a notice from USPS that the package was delivered last week and I thought that it had worked out, until today when my employer received the returned package. Now, more money needs to be spent to get these important (and time-sensitive) documents to the correct destination. I would return to this store to use notary services again or to mail UPS packages, but I will NOT be mailing using any non-UPS service through this location, and will definitely never purchase USPS postage from UPS again, regardless of any staff assurances. read more

I had my passport pic taken here. The photo is wrong size- although I had specified It was for a Canadian passport and had the supporting papers showing the correct size needed. The price was almost $30 dollars . I left not knowing that not only was the size unalterable to Canadian standards but that I could have the proper size done elsewhere for under $10. Not blaming the employees, who were accommodating , but I hold UPS accountable for the ridiculous price for a useless product. read more

This UPS store has wonderful, helpful staff. It's like my own personal office. I had to fax two documents and one fax number was always busy. One employee offered to keep the fax over night and fax at 8 am when she came into work. She called me at home to tell me it went thru. Such a relief for me to know my fax was received. While I was there I witnessed every customer receive extraordinary customer service, whether they were there for copies or to drop off a package. read more

While I have not done anything exotic here, like getting help packing up a drum, this IS my go-to UPS store, even though there is one that is closer to my house. This UPS, very conveniently located in the Benny's Plaza on Post Road in East Greenwich, seems to always be staffed with competent, intelligent and friendly UPS people! Whether I am sending a package to someone, or returning something I ordered online (oh yes, I'm there a lot for that!!), the staff bends over backwards to be helpful and nice. When I've completed my business there, I leave with a smile on my face (and it's not just that I am anticipating my VISA bill going down by the amount I was charged for the dress that is going back!). This store sells a lot of good stuff, all the normal stuff one needs to do a good and safe packaging up of your items, in the event that you are not hiring the UPS staff to do the packing for you. They do it all, and even if it is a prepaid return, you still get a record of your return, where it is going, etc. should you ever need a proof of that return. In sum, they are very helpful to me. I stopped here on a Saturday afternoon (2:30) to ship a package via air. I was told that air shipments had to leave by 1:00pm even though it is prominently labeled in their store and website that air shipment pickup is not until 4:00 on Saturdays. I was told if I needed to ship that quickly that I would have to drive to the UPS hub in Warwick. I took their direction and drove to the hub only to find the customer service area was closed when I arrived at 3:00. (hours only to 1:00). I returned to the UPS Store annoyed and was only offered an 'I'm Sorry' Not honoring the posted shipping times is unacceptable and failing to satisfy a customer leads to lost business. A poor job all the way around by the staff I encountered. I have used this location as a drop off point for business related air shipments before with no problems. I don't know what has changed, but I am hesitant to go back. read more

I went into the UPS store in East Greenwich looking to make some copies of documents I needed. When I arrived, there were several people in line waiting to be served. The store was very clean, and there was one gentleman working at the time. Not only was the line long, but there was a customer who seemed to be giving the clerk a hard time with something. I watched and listened as the clerk handled the situation and provided great assistance to the customer. The clerk was able to get the entire line down in a timely manner, and all of the customers seemed to leave happy. By the time it was my turn, I had to ask for assistance with the copy machine, and Ryan was very helpful. Not only did he help me with my copies, but he explained how it worked so I could do it on my own next time. I would highly recommend the UPS store in EG for all of your shipping needs. read more

This location more than makes up for the poor service at other RI UPS Stores. It's amazing how inconsistent the service can be due to different franchise operators but the owner of the Post Road location has a high standard. The store is always clean and organized and the staff is consistently top notch - efficient, courteous and full of integrity. They don't try to find ways to rack up your bill and they will even suggest more economical options if budget is a concern. As a result, whenever I need to ship something when I'm in RI, I always use this location even if there are others that may be more conveniently located to my errands.
