At 7 pm, 12/20, the incredible woman working the counter was smiling and helpful. When I commented that I needed to put more tape on one package, she said "don't worry, we have tape" and proceeded to tape the edges as she spoke. I was shipping pre-paid, pre-wrapped, pre-labeled returns and she treated me like I was buying expensive pack and ship. That's SERVICE!!! The parking here sucks. People flock to park on the street to avoid parking structure parking, I probably saw about a dozen almost accidents with people trying to parallel park etc. Not the best location, but what can you do. This was convenient because it was in the area that I was in at the time. Shipping costs were not ideal, but it was a few days before Christmas and it was incredibly convenient. I was in and out of there, the office staff was very knowledgeable and extremely kind. A very painless experience shipping items for Christmas. read more

If you are sending something to Southern California, check to see if it can be sent ground via UPS. It ended up being 1/3 the price of FedEx for me, because everything they do has to take a pit stop in Tennessee. read more

The staff is always helpful and friendly. Today, I dropped off 2 packages and forgot to ask that 1 box be marked 'Fragile'. I called more than 2 hours later and the staff member who answered the phone took the time to locate the box and put the 'Fragile' stamps on. Much appreciate the extra effort....thanks!! read more

The prices here are un believable! I paid $30 for packaging and another $25 to send it. It cost more to send this present that the cost of the present itself. Next time i will try to find my own packaging. It was a long (24") object that was (10") wide. The people were pleasant enough but the pricing was not fair. They don't display their prices for packaging anywhere so you don't know what your options are. read more

I explicitly asked the woman working at the front if $17 was the cheapest possible shipping that UPS has for the item I needed to ship. I then followed up with if the $17 UPS charge is cheaper than the cheapest USPS shipping option for the same item. She replied by saying yes and gave me a price even higher that USPS would charge me. I begrudgingly just paid the $17 to ship the item. Guess what? I went to ship the same item (I had two) a few weeks later at USPS and it was $5.65! Won't be visiting this UPS Store again unless I have a prepaid shipping/return label. read more

I have spent two last days making numerous copies at the UPS Store at 16350 Ventura Blvd. Suite D in Encino, CA. The owner, Brigid, the Senior Associate, Carlos, and the other employees were extremely helpful and supportive. They helped me with the copy machine and offered a staple remover, stapler, and rubber bands to make my job more efficient. They have a friendly, welcoming attitude to all the customers. It was a very pleasant place for me to do this tedious work and the time passed quickly. read more

I needed a 2x3 poster. I called all around and was referred to the UPS Store in Encino. I spoke to Danny who was very friendly and assured me he could do the job. I told him I had to have it in two days for a concert I had coming up and he promised he would have it done on time. I e-mailed him the copy. Friday, the day I needed the poster, I called him up and he told me it was ready. I went right in and picked up the poster. He did a great job, on time and at a fair price. TERRIBLE SERVICE I didn't grab his name as he was not wearing a name tag, but the Asian man behind the counter with glasses, perhaps 30 years old, was a contemptuous little prick. I walked in a couple hours ago to mail a package and asked for a box. He took my stuff behind the counter and boxed it up without asking (All I had, asked for was the box), no big deal, maybe an honest mistake. I then told him the package was going to Canada. he told me UPS did not ship Internationally. I told him of course they did, to which he responded, "well not at this store, we have too many problems with it, you'll have to go to another store" After this exchange, it was nothing but pouty faces and being rude without actually saying anything rude to me which could get him in trouble. I told him I had a merchant account, and couldn't we just ship it from here... to which he agreed and provided international due bills... So clearly they can take the shipment, he just didn't want to. I had a couple questions about filling out the form and he just looked at me like a sullen 13 year old and told me I would have to figure out how to fill out the form, he didn't know. I then said fine, give me the paperwork and I'll go to the other UPS store. Without even looking at me he pushed the paperwork at me and walked off. If you enjoy being waited on by people who feel like they are too good to wait on you, then this is a great location. read more

Its in a convenient location with free parking, but I don't get a great vibe here. I almost feel that the workers here are doing me a favor. And its crazy expensive too. I needed to send a large envelope next day, they told me it was 60 dollars, 2 days was almost 50. They told me because the gas was expensive, like I was chartering the flight myself to send it. They have a lot of good services if you are willing to pay for it. read more

Got a message on my front door that a delivery had been attempted and a signature was required. The note said another attempt would be made the next day. No delivery came, as I was home all day. I then looked up the tracking number left on the note, and was informed the package was at this Encino UPS location. I made my way there (after my wife had confirmed the package was there using the UPS website chat link option), and the lady behind the counter had me sign my name on their little device as she ran into the back room to get it. Another employee behind the counter then signed me out, completing my interaction, so she could help another customer. The original lady came back out without any package, and was visibly distraught that I had been signed out. In short, no package. No way of looking up the package because their system believes I already have the package thanks to their lack of communication. No assistance whatsoever from the employees there who gave me the EXACT SAME TRACKING NUMBER I USED ORIGINALLY and told me they couldn't help me because this UPS Store isn't really a UPS store??? So UPS, via a series of ineptitudes and terrible customer service, stole from me. And there's nothing I can do about it. Merry Christmas to me, huh! read more

I use the place often and some of the time the workers are courteous, but most are curt and rushing. They have very limited stationary, personally I would like to see more specialized stationary especially when I need to box something to mail. The parking is accessible only during non rush hours so I don't recommend going there during the rush hours. read more

I arrived at 8:30am, the time they list on their website and in storefront display as when they open, and proceeded to wait 30 minutes for them to actually open. In that time I counted 4 other customers, who arrived and left, unwilling to wait. This delay made me late for work, which will require me to stay late, and basically throws off my whole day. When the UPS worker arrived she offered no apology for being thirty minutes late. I guess it's standard there. To top it off they didn't even have the package I was there to pick up in the store, despite the slip they left on my door saying as much. But I don't even blame the location for that. Maybe that was a mistake of the driver. The least you can ask of a business is that they open when promised. I already filed a compliant with UPS corporate about this location but who knows what that accomplished. Avoid this location if possible! read more

I went to UPS to see if I could find someone more helpful and a girl named Lupe helped me out and she was great! She answered all my questions and made sure everything was on point. This is the best UPS store. I don't know why it has such low ratings. The girls that work here are young, energetic, super friendly and HELPFUL. I've never been to any UPS store before but when I went to the one in 16350 Ventura Blvd, Ste D, Encino, CA 91436 these three wonderful ladies helped me ship a package. My family has been using this UPS location for years. We get all of our mail delivered here because we tend to move a lot- and it's way easier than having to do all of those change of address forms! As happens in this kind of business, there have been a number of staff changes over the years- some better than others. I have to say that this time around- they got the hiring RIGHT! This crew is always helpful, friendly (especially to our English bulldog) and ready to help in any way they can. After you've done business with a place for so long, it's nice when the staff acknowledge you in some way. Jimmy always goes that extra mile to make sure that "we know that he knows." He'll head to the back of the store before we're barely in the door because he knows we have packages waiting. That's service. Plus he's an excellent conversationalist- he has lots of great stories about his adventures! 5 stars for great customer service and genuinely nice staff! read more

This store's customer service is deplorable. We had arranged for a package to be shipped across country. We needed to ensure a signature guarantee and late hours for pickup. The package arrived and was refused back to UPS. The reason.... we don't have a paid post box. Not only was there contact information on the package to reconfirm delivery and reach out to us to explain their policy, but no effort was made on their part to rectify or correct this situation. When we finally contacted the store ,we were told to check the tracking information. The package was sent back to the central clearing station of UPS and sent back to the original vendor. When trying to rectify the situation, their response was "this is out of my hands talk to corporate". Nothing like passing the buck and taking no responsibility for your actions. Our whole experience with this store has been unsatisfactory, deplorable and irresponsible. UPS... you should do a better job of screening your vendors. This is unacceptable.
