Honestly I'm really surprised at all the negative reviews. I've come to this location for years and 99% of my visits are for either dropping off packages or returns. Sean and his staff has never given any indication of not wanting to help me. Many of the negative reviews seem to stem from people not getting the type of service they think they are entitled to because they didn't follow directions. I'd like to rate it a negative review but not an option. My daughter and I went to mail out a package with a prepaid UPS label. My daughter went to hand him the package and he said scan it yourself at the Amazon kiosk. It wasn't scanning and Owner refused to help us. So we walked out. A lady that was in line behind us let us know that he called us names in front of all employees and the ONe and ONLY customer after we walked out. A Kind women said I'll never go back there . That's not how you treat your customers. They nickel and dime you , you have to pay for tape. They don't want to help you!! Absolutely ridiculous from now on I will go to the UPS store in RSM . I have been there a few times and they said they constantly hear horror stories about the Foothill Ranch location and everybody tries to avoid them and comes to RSM!! I'm unable to respond to your managers comment so I edited my post In response to your comment that completely minimized the behavior and lack of customer service on your employees part. We were upset because he was talking very rude and condescending and made us feel as though we were putting him out asking for help. His attitude is what escalated the situation . This wasn't a one time thing. Customer service is always awful there and they do not like to help at all!! We would have been nice if we weren't mistreated!! As for speaking with other customers that is a flat out lie to protect your staff. There was only one other customer in the store at the same time as us. I've had nothing but great experiences at this UPS Store. The man who works there is always kind, helpful, and patient. He takes the time to answer questions and is very respectful. There is an Amazon return machine inside the store that customers are supposed to use themselves, but not everyone realizes that, --it's just how Amazon set it up. Still, he does his best to guide people through it when needed. I really appreciate having a store like this in our community. It's a good store, and the service is excellent. Sean, the owner at the UPS store at FH, helped us with my mom's notary. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He managed his busy store efficiently. We came back to him the next day when we realized that there were errors in the way our documents were printed--not his mistake. He gave us a discount on doing it over--which he didn't have to do. We would certainly go back to his UPS Store in the future for documents needing to be notarized. read more

The owner is just a money hungry man. I had a UPS return used the self service option and used the same box it was delivered in. He grabbed my box said I had to purchase a box ship it in. It was already scanned when he ripped the label off. The package was lost in UPS due to him. I received a full refund from my vendor and I got to keep the product. This is just down the hill from my house and will not go here again. His greed is going to yield karma one day. Basically he is a POS cheat. Stay away. read more

Very disappointing experience -- Shawn/Sean was rude and unprofessional from the moment I arrived. Instead of providing helpful service or even basic courtesy, he acted dismissive and made the entire visit uncomfortable and frustrating. We purchase a LOT of stuff from Amazon for work and as a result, we have a higher volume of returns than most people, sometimes walking in there with 20+ packages. I do my best to prepare them ahead of time so they are ready to scan so I can get through them as quickly as possible......WITH ALL OF THIS SAID, it's still a huge pain in the $#@% for everyone involved and from a few other UPS stores that are closer to the office, I've gotten dirty looks, comments, and actual requests to go somewhere else. We also ship a lot of UPS Ground and Next Day packages for work so sometimes I'm coming up with one or two carts full of returns and/or UPS packages. These guys at this UPS location have a.l.w.a.y.s. been on point....they've never complained about my volume, when they aren't too busy they offer to help bring in the packages, they've even let me use their cart when I forget mine at the office. Really a great team of people there, especially the owner, who always gives my two little daughters hand stamps when they come in with me. Obviously I'm not the only one that feels like this because at 5pm cut off, they usually have a wall of packages people have dropped off waiting to be picked up by the UPS truck. The other day they spent like 20 minutes with my helping me go through the customs form for a package I was shipping internationally. They had some other customers walk in and the owner actually came out from the back office to help the new customers that walked in the door so the other guy can continue helping me and make sure I did everything just right. This level of attention, professionalism, and just being decent people has been hard to find so after that amazing help last week, I felt moved to share my experience. read more

Came into the UPS store with an Amazon return and was told not come back anymore through December because they want to focus on shipping, not Amazon returns. Will be complaining to corporate about this store as well. Amazon should not be doing business with them. Part 2. Now the owner is defaming me and saying I used crude and profane language in the store which is entirely false. We have a community page in Foothill Ranch and someone posted about this owner and the same issues I have had, he has also had. Been a customer here for at least 5 yrs. Horrible experience this morning. It's been a while since I had to return something and last time I did I just handed my prepaid package to staff behind counter and got my receipt. Quickly and nicely. Didn't want to start my day off by being talked to like I'm stupid. Not everyone is techie and can hear what's being said from the small automated screen WHILE trying to read ALL the paper signs at the self kiosk on what to do. I just kept thinking of my dad who is hard of hearing (not old) or my mom who is just not techie (still uses flip cell phone). I can only hope someone with customer service can walk over and show them how to work the kiosk if they ever need to do a return. Get them in and out. Like it used to be done if you have a prepaid label. Felt like being at the grocery story and doing self checkout and then have to wait for help cuz something didn't scan . A Little help the 2nd time would have been appreciated instead of being scolded the third time in front of customers. Taking my business to UPS store in neighboring city , NOW that I know what to do. And yes, I work in customer service and we also have a kiosk machine for security entry. The amount of times I have had to help people just "dropping" their ID into the machine because not every machine is the same. I don't get rude, mean or nasty because I have to stop what I'm doing. I just stand up and joke "ok next time I'm taking your credit card to scan and buying me a coffee " . We all walk away smiling! All I can do is wish this man's family is treated nicely and patiently when they need service from someone. And no I don't need any response from the "business owner" . I stopped in to drop off a package for shipping and to have a document notarized. Sean was very helpful and gave me several shipping options and explained each of them thoroughly. I accidentally prematurely signed the document that needed to be notarized. Sean helped to correct the document and then reprinted it for me so that it could be notarized properly. Terrible location. Worth driving another 4 minutes to the next store. Customers service is beyond poor. I was waiting in line and the three employees refused to acknowledge any customers. The main guy then proceeded to call the kid infront of me stupid for not knowing how to use the kiosk. I had enough and let them know their customer service was an embarrassment to the UPS brand. I was impressed. I was given an appointment time and the owner personally walked me through all the steps. The application was accurate and complete thanks to their attention to detail. DISAPPOINTED! I had a return and it was boxed already but they hesitated to tape it for me (which I used to do before with my returns) and charged me $5 for a tape. I don't think this is a right way to make money and I was so disappointed. read more

Terrible!! I was dropping off a package to this ups since I was in the area. It wasn't an Amazon return either, just a regular retail store drop off. Such a mistake. I will actively avoid this ups location in the future. My package was sealed and I had a paper label printed. The older man wanted to charge me $3 to attach the label to the package. I asked for my package back but he kept going on and on with a long lecture about why he has to charge such a fee and why it's fair. By the time he was done, I was over it and reached for my package. Then he condescendingly said he'd take it, rudely implied he was doing me a huge favor, and said to never do that again. Then he took the package and label and just threw them and completely turned his back to me and walked away without saying thanks or bye. I didn't know the interaction was over. The other ups stores in the area would never do this. They happily provide the see-thru window and fold up the label to tuck in for me or tape the label to the package. This ups legit doesn't want you coming here. Reading all the other negative reviews, I'm wondering if there's ever friendly service. Feels odd to write a review for a ups, but I really disliked my experience enough to write about it. read more
