I stopped by to get a document notarized and ended up having a great experience. I hardly review retail stores, but I felt this spot deserved a great review. I was assisted by Sean, whom I believe is the franchise owner, and he was very friendly and helpful. Through our conversation he was able to help me both fax and UPS the original notarized document to NYC. I had only planned on getting it notarized and faxing and mailing it myself. It may have cost me a few extra dollars to have them do it, but it made it much easier for me to have a one-stop shop. It saved me the trouble of running back home to fax it and then to the post office to mail it. It's not often that the person helping you actually listens to you and finds a way to solve your problems. I wasn't asking for his help, I was just talking about what the document was and what I needed to do with it. Kudos to Sean for actually listening. I have always experienced great service at this location with all my postage services, returns, and notary documents. I have used other locations for quick drops and most locations are fine but my experiences at this Foothill store the service has always been top notch. Yesterday, I dropped off an item for return. It is an expensive item I dropped off. I mistakenly took the return label and took it with me thinking it was my drop off confirmation. Sean, the owner, ended up tracking me down and informed me of my mistake. I was able to give him the return label and know that he is taking care of my return with service that is above and beyond my expectations. Ohhhhh .. unfortunately this location is the closest UPS to me. And unfortunately I have to do business with this location especially for the Amazon return.. But each time I come here I promised myself that it's going to be the last time that I do business here. The owner of this location is a very selfish prejudice person that there is no way that he he doesn't insult you with any conversation. I think UPS has to have a better filter to choose who is going to get the franchise. Beside of all the requirements they have to have a personality test and filtration. First of all, I am so grateful to have a shipping store close by. I always cringe at the thought of going to the USPS. Or have to drive to RSM to drop off Amazon returns. Today was the first time I used the Self Service return kiosk. Even though Sean was there to assist, it was simple to use. Although I enjoy talking to Sean, the new machine frees the staff up to assist customers. Heard some people complaining that this machine will take away jobs. Please! I needed to have a form notarized today and I decided to go to the one off of Trabuco that opened at 9 am. There was no line and no one in the store and notary lady told me to come back at 10 am so ridiculous-NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!! If you want notary done come to this UPS store. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. The owner or manager whoever he is, is rude and does not know how to articulate anything to customers. He has made unnecessary comments about how you shouldn't use Amazon package bags when they are there to use. He also suggested someone coming in after 3 people waiting in line go ahead because he thinks he came earlier which was not true. They need to hire some more people as it seems too overwhelming for this guy to manage more than one customer in the store. Stay away from this place at all costs. His communication is NOT clear and is very off putting. He's given me a weird vibe just for asking for a drop off receipt and talks over everyone while helping someone. Like finish with one customer before jumping to conversation with others in line. Better yet hire some employees! He talks condescendingly and is confrontational with the customer. Very unprofessional. He has some fragile energy to be talking to women the way he does. Would happily drive a further distance instead of going there. This man is very misogynistic and miserable. My third time here for notary service. Every time my experience was made easy by Sean, the manager and staff. They gave me direction when it was needed and finished my transactions swiftly. Prior to today each visit was crowded and they managed and advised all clients with direction for their specific needs. I saw a lot of return customers who knew what they needed to do and kindly helped others. Today, I witnessed a gentleman come in with urgency. He could not process a return as was his business. Sean, the owner advised him with direction and the gentleman was irritated he needed to pay for extra materials to complete his process. This is a business and nothing is for free.
