Easy store to get you packages in and out of, staff is friendly and helpful, No problems the few times I have been here.

I am no UPS expert as this was the first UPS Store I've ever went to, but they were pretty awesome! Came in here because I needed to send back some Verizon equipment and they have a partnership with UPS Stores where they will do it for free. When I walked in, I was carrying a giant box and one of the guys ran over to help me with it. Everything still needed to be packed for shipment, but he could tell I was returning my Verizon boxes. He printed me my tracking number and said that he would pack it up and that I didn't need to wait (unless I wanted to). I was expecting this to take 20 min and I was in and out in 2!!! read more

The people here are unpleasant for no reason. If you want to drop off a UPS shipment and have no need for a receipt (low-value shipments not needing tracking), the staff will badger you to waste your time waiting for an unwanted receipt. It's as if UPS only pays them for shipments on which they've written receipts. The staff acts this way even with paying customers of their other services such as mail box rentals. So impressed! I needed pretty much every service they offer from printing and notary and on and on. Elisa was knowledgeable, thorough and quick at each phase. The other three women in the shop quickly managed waves of traffic - very efficient and pleasant as well. Great to be able to get so much done in one stop! I'm baffled at the low stars for this store, which is why I am writing this review. Every staff member I have ever come in contact with has always been professional, helpful and very courteous. They were great before the pandemic and have put thought into how to help customers safely during the pandemic. Having used their services more lately for work, I really appreciate their efforts. Bonus, not only are they nice and professional, but also have gone out of their way to assist w notary services for my elderly mom. They deserve every ounce of 5 stars from my experience. read more

This store is walking distance from my home but unfortunately I do not use their services. I drive out to the Manhattan Beach store because they are not friendly at all. They are so serious, I feel like I am bothering them. Margaret and Sue have a chip on their shoulders. Especially Sue! She is so rude to her co workers. I've been to countless UPS stores over the years, and without exaggeration, this one is the worst. Let me outline a recent experience for you. 02:45:00 - walk into store, see 2 zombies/employees hunched over the counter, zombie #2 might be drooling? 02:45:05 Need to print something from a flash drive, ask how to do it, zombie #1 points at a computer without saying anything 02:45:12 Plug my flash drive in, and print two 10 cent black and white copies 02:45:40 Go to checkout counter and am charged $2.70. 20 cents for the prints, and $2.50 for my 28 seconds of computer use time. Zombie #2 looks down and doesn't say a word while I ask why no other UPS charges for this. Not sure if they are sleeping, trying to hold in their drool, or just don't care? 02:45:58 Walk out of store, for the last time I've never been to a UPS/Fedex/Kinkos that charges you to print from a flash drive. Shouldn't be surprised I guess, since everything else here is marked up too from shipping prices to packing supplies. Do yourself a favor and go to the UPS less than a mile south on PCH by whole foods. read more

This place is awful. Does not even deserve one star. A particular employee, Sue, has no clue what customer service is. Super unfriendly and always acts like doing her job is a huge hassle. The younger staff there is nice, I don't know how they work with that lady... Seek alternate store and avoid at all costs. read more

I live in hermosa and have gone to this UPS store quite a few times. Every time i go there, out of convenience, i leave there promising myself to NEVER GO BACK. Unfriendly staff, but mostly, every time i go here THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS!!! I've been to other UPS stores and the prices are lower. I always do a quote at home before i ship, but when i take it to this store they tell me it's $5+ higher than i researched on-line. Ridiculous. I just sent a tiny envelope that didn't weight more than about 1.5lbs and it was $14 for ground service!!! Crazy. I didn't have time to go elsewhere so i just sent it, but NEVER AGAIN. I will never go back to this store!!! read more

Worst service I have ever experienced. Miserably slow and unhelpful staff. I waited for 1 hour and they had incorrect information regarding finger print scanning and I ultimately had to go to another location. Such a waste of time and extremely pathetic staff. read more

Two stars for how slow their customer computer is. Hands down the slowest computer I have ever used. And when you're paying by the minute you can't help but wonder if they're playing some sort of sick trick on you. Seriously, what the heck. By far the best experience I've had dealing with UPS. I was sending a package to a friend for his birthday, paid for overnight delivery, no signature required. Delivery date; they don't leave the package because he's not home even though no signature required, day 2- they attempt again, they don't leave the package because again he's not home...go figure, like most people he works during the day, Day 3...final attempt is made and of course mid-day, they don't leave the package because....guess? Yup, he's at work. I call UPS directly, customer service was absolutely no help- she said the next option is for him to pick it up at their UPS customer service center...Monday-Friday between 9-6- mmmmm he works and can't, I tried getting them to re-route it to his office, she couldn't assist me with that, a supervisor would get back to me within an hour..blah blah blah. Almost 2 hours go by and of course I never heard from anyone; called back, finally got through to someone who again was no help, I told them I should have just used Fed Ex and ended the phone call because I really didn't want to cuss anyone out today. I called the UPS store (pier ave. Hermosa Beach) that I shipped the package from and Sue helped me...I gave her the new shipping address, she processed it for next day delivery and I was off the phone with her in less than 5 minutes. A few minutes later, Sue called back to confirm that my tracking number was still the same and she confirmed delivery for tomorrow. No hassle, really polite and super helpful. Finally a solution instead of excuses and inefficient options. I'm a little conflicted though...I never want to use UPS for my shipping needs again but this particular store and Sue were really great. read more

This store saved my day! After trying to send a very very very expensive piece of jewelry with insurance at Fed Ex on Artesia with no success, I decided to try this UPS store and they couldn't have been more helpful. In the other reviews people had mentioned that the owner or manager (the blonde) wasn't nice, and although she wasn't jumping up and down with jazz hands when I walked in, she was all business and helped me get it shipped with insurance covering the high value of the piece. I've used the UPS store quite a bit, and have never been super pleased with the quality of service. The process is very slow, and I usually spend about 20 minutes in the store no matter how small of a service I am doing. The prices here are slightly inflated, because it is in a beach city. I've found recently it's just easier to run down the street to Redondo for better prices and service. read more

I'm am in this store often and find them helpful, happy, suggest less expensive options and quick to get work done. I don't usually review but today saw terrible reviews and those reviews are so far off the mark. I went to Fedex the other day and it took FOREVER to overnight one envelope. I have had such a great experience with the staff at this particular location. Sue was so incredibly helpful and patient with all of my needs and demands even though she was helping three people at the same time because they were so busy on that particular day. I highly recommend this UPS store/location. They offer a variety of services including live scan fingerprinting, notary as well as mailboxes.
