Really like that this UPS drop off is near my office. Been here so many times for both personal & business purpose. Today trip was personal dropping off 3 items to return. Gentleman at the counter was nice and helped me pretty quickly. If you bring items that needs a bag they have clear plastic bags for you. Parking can be slim when arriving during lunch hours because this is in a plaza that has a large grocery store, several eateries, a bank and other small businesses. read more

DO NOT GO!! Young male worker just completed ruined my package. He said i needed a bigger box than the one i brought; so he put my stuff in a smaller box and came back with it taped up. I knew my stuff didn't fit in there so i asked him if he had folded my bridesmaids gifts and he said "no i didn't fold anything it laid flat perfectly". i knew they didn't fit in that size box so i asked to open it and it was all folded and crumpled up into a ball and my items were all ruined. I come to this location often and the young man who is usually working is pleasant. The woman who helped me today, however, was incredibly rude and loudly gossiped to other employees while helping me. Instead of politely telling me that they could not take my box when I asked if they had recycling, she told me to use the trash can at the restaurant a block away and ignored me when I mentioned recycling. read more

Really busy at 5:30 pm on Monday. There were two people working to service 9 customers. The line was out the door. One of the parties at the counter had multiple packages and took a long time. But once he was done, then the line moved fairly quickly. I just had to process a return, so once I got to the counter, they just had to scan my barcode, print out the label, hand me my receipt, and then I was on my way. read more

I am shocked how different UPS Stores can be. I did not think I was taking a chance by going to this UPS Store, but my first visit will be my last. I went there just to drop off a Amazon return and a USPS package. At my normal go-to UPS Store, at 2110 Artesia Blvd, these tasks are a no-brainier and I would be in-and-out in a minute. But at this store, the USPS drop off was rejected, and the attendee required me to bag my own Amazon return. They wouldn't touch it. This may be a COVID thing. Now, I'm as paranoid and cautious as anyone regarding COVID, so I don't begrudge this protocol, but the insolent matter with which I was told to leave the counter and get a bag from across the little dingy store, and upon returning to the counter, bag it myself, was unbecoming. I can forgive the dingy and dirty feeling of the store, and sluggish service from the sole worker as one-off, but not the unwelcoming, and lack of, service. The UPS Store on Artesia Boulevard has been stellar on every visit for over two decades. Always very well staffed and excellent we're-here-for-you service. Top-notch. Go there, not here. read more

Absolutely incompetent notary. Refused to verify signature because didn't like fist and last name positioning on the document. Which is completely irrelevant when it comes to signature verification that he was supposed to provide . Had to go to a different place where didn't have any issues . I am deeply disappointed at my experience at this UPS store. Firstly, this is my local UPS store, and I've been here many many times. Each time I am greeted with workers who don't greet me, are rude if I need special assistance for a simple mailing task, and overall made me feel uncomfortable just being in this store. I asked them why I needed to package my Amazon order and all 3 workers snickered and looked at each other as if I was asking some unruly question that I should've known the answer to. as if I'm the one with the UPS uniform on working at the store... Came here to drop off an Amazon return. I don't have a working printer at home so when I got to UPS, I was able to email the barcode and they printed it out for me. They did all the work. They also packaged the item and taped it up. The employee said they charge $3 for printing and .10 cents for every additional page but he was extremely nice and didn't charge me for printing the shipping label. It is kind people like him and little generous acts like that that can make somebody's day. Thank you kind sir. I will be back again whether they charge me for printing or not. Avoid!!! Take your Amazon return packages somewhere else! They have "lost" two of my Amazon packages on two separate occasions. The first time I thought it was a mistake and blew it off. The second time I was told at the store that my package wasn't wrapped properly. When I wrapped it, the mean old lady inspected it then walked off rolling her eyes. I handed it to another younger girl who seemed lost as to what had happened (that made two of us) and gave me the receipt. What do you know, my package never arrives to Amazon. In fact they say it was never sent. Luckily I kept the receipt but now have to go through their insurance. I'm positive she did it on purpose. My mistake for going back. There're a lot of much nicer, friendlier, and more helpful UPS stores within a minutes drive. Do yourself a favor and give THEM your business. Not sure why so many people have left negative reviews about the customer service. Every time I come here, the employees are excellent. I'm in and out super quickly-- usually come to drop off Amazon returns but have been here for passport photos and to get an occasional document notarized. I've never had any issue with service or friendliness. The women working are polite, welcoming and efficient. read more

Unfortunately, the staff here just are not pleasant. Customers were friendly/cheery and trying to make jokes, but the staff just would not smile or give any sort of joy back in return. They were huffing and short / rude in their responses. It took forever to get something notarized. The person helping us didn't know all of the rules for the notary and had to get help a few times from another staff member. The staff wasn't friendly to one another, either. UPS as a whole is pretty bad but their stores are the worst. Needed a computer part and the shipper only sends via UPS. UPS attempted to make a delivery at 8:30 at night but wasn't there. They sent the package to UPS Store in Hermosa. Called the store to see if package was there before I fought beach traffic. Younger lady answered the call, asked me to hold on, didn't put me on hold just put the receiver down, I was listening to her conversation with a co-worker for a few minutes before hanging up. Called back and no answer. Called the UPS main phone number and got the same typical UPS customer service. Going froward I will need to specify if the items are sent UPS so I can avoid them at all cost. read more

Non-existent customer service! I was there at 2:30, they were supposed to be open until 3. I stood outside the locked door (there were people inside) and tried to get their attention. I waved my hands, made some noise. Several people looked at me but no one acknowledged my existence. Finally a little girl, about 8 or 9 walked by, looking at me as I gesticulated and asked for help, but just continued to walk on by and went back from whence she came. Finally, another potential customer walked up and told me that she had been there 15 minutes earlier and was told that the door was locked because they had several people in line and they figured it would take until close to three (their posted close time) to help those people so they locked the door and weren't going to help any one else. I guess that means they also weren't going to bother to explain this to anyone, instead just stare at the people outside and let them figure it out for themselves. I've never had such terrible customer service (or lack thereof) from a small business. I subsequently went to another UPS store the same distance from my house in the other direction (Redondo Beach, on PCH in the Whole Foods center) and was helped immediately. I went in to print 1 copy of a document from my flash drive, which they say is only 35 cents. A foul woman at the front desk points me to the computer without offering any assistance, but I finally figure it out after a few minutes of asking questions and printing 1 copy on the wrong printer. (Rude jerks. They offer NO help then act like I'm dumb for not changing it to the correct printer in "Settings." Like I should know...) Then I go to pay and it's $3.00. It was $2.70 for "Computer Access" on their crappy old Windows PC and .30 for the copy. I don't mind the couple of bucks, but don't cheat me into it and be an unhelpful sluggish dunce about it. I live in Hermosa Beach and this is a very convenient location for me, unfortunately the older blonde woman who works the counter sometimes is very unfriendly. I'm not sure if she is the manager or owner or what. She never cracks a smile and seems put out that she has to do something for you. All of the other people that have helped me have been really friendly, nice and helpful, but when ever she is there, I dread it. The services are not cheap either, so add that to a sour puss attitude and I'd rather patronize another place. read more

The people here are unpleasant for no reason. If you want to drop off a UPS shipment and have no need for a receipt (low-value shipments not needing tracking), the staff will badger you to waste your time waiting for an unwanted receipt. It's as if UPS only pays them for shipments on which they've written receipts. The staff acts this way even with paying customers of their other services such as mail box rentals.
