I've run a couple of businesses in the South Bay and have been coming here for 10 years in August. Guest service is always good, they are fast and I like to support local. Today they really screwed up. They messed up the first batch of printing, cost me $300, then said they would fix it and come back today. They again screwed up and the manager said he could print them again but would have to charge me another $300. So now I'm getting 60 menus for $600? Not sure why any reasonable person would think this is right. He said they misunderstood the second email and the onus was then on me. Pretty incredible. Sometimes you just gotta print something really quickly and you don't care about the price. This is definitely a place for that. I went in because I had purchased a few graphics off of ETSY and because they are on paper larger than I have at home, I trusted FedEx would help out because I'd used them before for work stuff. It's super easy, you send the graphic to their FedEx email and when you go in you enter the confirmation details in ton the machine and it will print for you. When I went in, the self-serve large scale printer was down but I only looked confused for a half a second before a staff person (who was on their way to do something else) brought me to the counter to help me out. He pulled up both graphics and printed them. They had hard cardboard tubes available for purchase so I could get them home sent free. The only thing that I wish would have happened but didn't was perhaps a quick chat about which paper I'd want to use since these were obviously graphics and whether I framed them or wanted to stick them to a wall directly, a slightly thicker paper would have been better. But overall, very glad the service exists and they were super helpful and fast. read more

The staff here is extremely helpful. I've probably dealt with ~8 employees of this FEO branch (over a decade of time) and I've yet to have a bad experience. ------------------------------------------ They keep the self-serve printers in great working order (rare to see an "out of order" sign at all, and when they happen it's for a short duration). ------------------------------------------ The cabinets in/around the self-serve print/copy machines are usually stocked with plenty of paper, and when you alert them to a low supply, they re-stock promptly. Thank God this place is NOT like most other FEO branches where the cabinets are locked, you have to go to the front desk, ask for a new ream of paper, then suffer a dirty look from the employee who hands it to you as if you're a paper thief. ------------------------------------------ FEO has a problem with customer education (Figure 601). Their solution was to institute an $80 cap limit per credit card swipe to protect such users (Figure 602). But, as Iatrogenics predicts, a solution to an existing problem often creates one or more new problems. Large printing jobs require lots of log-in/print/log-out/repeat cycles that are going to hit that $80 cap limit many times. Credit card companies (CCC) get suspicious about "Excessive Authorizations" (when the number of swipes is greater than __ over the last __ hours, they think the card might have fallen into diabolical hands and fraud is being committed). The CCC responds by freezing the card until some time has passed (Figure 603). To get around this and continue their work, the user has to call up their CCC on their cell phone (continuing to stand next to the self-serve printer/copier to test any potential solutions they offer), explain the situation, and ask their CCC to 'reset' the card's swipe counter. But to do this, the CCC must verify you're the card's rightful owner. To do that, they ask a lot of questions many of which could be compromising the security of the cardholder's personal data & identity BECAUSE THERE ARE OFTEN OTHER FEO CUSTOMERS AND FEO EMPLOYEES STANDING WITHIN EARSHOT. That is the new problem that was Iatrogenically created by FEO's solution to the original problem. A solution that solves both problems is to 1. eliminate the policy of capping credit card swipes to a dollar ceiling 2. add the message shown in Figure 604 to any/all of 2a. a printed sticker affixed to every self-serve printer/copier 2b. a printed sticker affixed to the kiosk/tablet attached to every self-serve printer/copier 2c. a message that appears on the kiosk's LCD display for 15 seconds after every new log-in event (before user is asked to insert their USB stick) read more

The store is a well-oiled machine. There were at least three team members assisting folks with printing and shipping needs. Corey helped refer me to Don for printing and he made sure I did not wait in line for a long time without getting serviced. Afterwards, Don was very skilled in printing the pictures I needed and he took care of my transaction swiftly efficiently with much courtesy and consideration. Both Corey and Don showed me what world class customer service and customer experience looked like. I worked in Customer Experience for almost a decade and I could see how this store 1016 really embodied Customer Experience. This store should be the model of Customer Experience for other FedEx offices nationwide. I will definitely come back! I was also very sad to learn that Tim Tindall, a long time FedEx team member there, passed away this past July. I remembered Tim was a very helpful and knowledgeable teammate of store 1016. I had printed out 10 flyers yesterday, size 5.5 x 8.5, but they came out as a full page. They told me they could cut them, but they didnt have tjme so I had to pick up the next day, I said no. I went back and they charged me $12 for that. I had already paid a $2.50 service fee yesterday, and now they're charging me over a dollar per cut for a 5-second job. Ridiculous. What a scam. I won't be coming back. At the very least, your staff should have told me upfront, 'Hey, this will cost this much,' instead of surprising me at the counter. read more

Went in with a small print job for my work at a restaurant. I was having some trouble and a team member, I think named Joanna (small sun tattoo on wrist, in case I got the name wrong) assisted me. They were very friendly, and easily helped me with my print order; awesome guest service. Bonus props for overhearing them assist another guest in Spanish. Essential team member, in my opinion. As far as this establishment goes as a convenient pick-up location for Fed Ex parcels, it's a great place. It's open 24 hours. It's in a safe neighborhood. It has easy parking. I'm not a fan of most delivery services. UPS tends to leave parcels out in the open on your doorstep. They often do at most a "doorbell ditch" where they'll ring your bell and leave the parcel, so by the time you open the door, the parcel is unattended and the driver is in the truck and outta there. USPS, despite having signs that say "Don't Leave Parcels Unattended" they do leave parcels unattended, right on top of the mail box, right on top of the door mat or sometimes they'll attempt to hide the parcel, but once in a while won't leave a note, so you'll accidentally find your parcel like an Easter egg or scavenger hunt. Both UPS and USPS carriers sometimes lack common sense and not only can't read signs, also leaving parcels unattended, but even when it's poor weather conditions they leave parcels out exposed to the elements. Argh!!! With Fed Ex, I'm not sure if their basic service is the same, but so far most of the time I'm left with a door tag that says they'll return for re-delivery or I can go online or call to have alternate delivery options. The option I like best is just having the package held at the FedEx office (here!) where it's safe and secure, and conveniently accessible. Sure, it's not front door home delivery, but it's a good alternative that is safe and convenient for not having to wait around or sign to have the parcel left unattended. The staff here are friendly and service is spot on when it comes to coming by, going in, and picking up your parcel. If you're busy and impatient, since this place is 24 hours, I'd recommend you come pick up during odd off hours to avoid any lines. I've never had to wait too long, but you never know since this facility also ships out parcels and it's one line that services all needs. read more

Two packages from FedEx Ground that services this area were delivered to my house. One with an obvious fragile sign with an expensive appliance in it. They placed an over 100 pound package right on top of it so that the box with the appliance got damaged. No care at all of the box instructions with a large and obvious fragile sign, as if it was done on purpose. read more

I came here to have something shipped. It was very expensive but I figured that's what it cost and I paid. 2 weeks later I shipped the very same thing with a different shipping company and it was a 1/10 of the cost. I'll break that down. FedEx was $300 and this other place was $30. Lesson learned. I didn't like the attitude of the people at the store when I was shocked at $300. When I called fedex corporate the kid was super nice but laughed when I old him the story. Apparently it happens a lot. He filed a report for me and they just responded with a canned message with a bunch of small print bs. Maybe it's unfair to give the store a 1 star when I'm also mad at corporate but what am I supposed to do? The whole experience was poor. read more

Second trip to this Fed Ex Kinkos and it was great experience both times . This trip was to get passport photos taken for myself and my new born . A bunch of people came in at the same time but the staff directed us to the right spots and we did not wait long for the photos to be taken and to pay . By far the best customer service! I originally ordered a 20x30" photo from sams club and was notified that I would be ready in 48 hours. I went back 4 days after ordering and was notified that the print takes 2 weeks to arrive to the location for pick up! At this point I was devastated as it was 9:30pm on a Saturday night and I needed the image for my grandfathers funeral the following morning before 11am . I called everywhere from Office Depot to target and cvs and I had no chance of getting the print anywhere on a rush. I found this fedex location that was 24 hour, mind you I called another 24 hour fedex but was told my photo would not be ready until 4pm the next day. Lucky enough I came by this location and met Tim. He's an angel on earth! He told me not to stress it and ensured that the photo would be ready by 8am the next morning! I ship from this location often. Waited in line for 45 minutes with a restless 2 year old who was very patient and well behaved. Get to the front of the line and the clerk tells me I need a government ID to ship. Since when? Never needed it before and I just shipped about 2 weeks ago. Didn't bring my purse and only brought my credit card. The clerk was rude as well. Won't be returning to FedEx with this NEW rule. read more

Unlike the amazing UPS store up the street, customer service here is the slowest in the city. There will often only be one employee or if two they won't notice you for a long time and then act like it is an honor for them to even talk to you. Then their copy service compared to UPS is 3 times more expensive even when you do it yourself. UPS will do it for you faster and cheaper. This place is in need of a giant customer service overhaul. read more
