I normally use a location in Lansing Kansas. However, I was down in this section of the city and try going in to process an Amazon return. The staff was warm helpful and got me adjusted and all my feet quickly. They were able to show me options for shipping that was not included in the Amazon return And the process was easy to deal with. I would use this location again in the future. read more

We utilize this location for shipping presents on occasion as well as Amazon returns. This season upon attempting to make shipments two different times the system went down. It seems rather suspicious that the system for making returns goes down when there are too many people in the store....additionally I was told that if my package is too heavy I still have to hold it because it is against the rules to set my 50+ lb package on a chair while I wait in a 25 min line. read more

What a disaster of a site and horrific management! I tried to ship bbq sauce home, 2 bottles, and 3 plastic, they wanted to charge me $90 to pack and ship that back to Ohio. Despite me telling the mgr how often I use the service and had sent glass, he could have cared less. So I went down to STAPLES, packed it myself, and with materials and shipping it was $26, and, Mgr, you are saying it costs UPS $64 to pack and ship 2 small pieces of glass. I will never ever use a UPS store again after this treatment and seeing how much they MARK UP their services, this site needs closed down! read more

They would not ship my package as the contents, while not mainstream, are not hazardous, flammable, toxic, and are considered a normally shipped product when UPS handled the shipping directly. I left a message for the manager Brian to call me, but at this time, no one has called. I will be using a different store, probably Staples if they still ship. read more

At the UPS store yesterday to return an item to Amazon. The attendant opens the box and pulls out the name (my name) and address label from the original shipment packaging and without making eye contact he says, 'don't ever do this again' and he tosses it in the trash. wait...what? I guess I look befuddled or maybe I said something. He looked at me and said, 'you're old, I mean older and people from your generation.....' and I completely went blank when he uttered those words. Excuse me, did you just call me OLD? He said, ' you have no idea who is going to open that box. I'm just telling you for your protection, just don't do that again'. So if you want to be treated like you have not a brain in your head, you know where to go. Interesting, the last order I returned to Amazon had a return label in it with ALL the same info and more and the instructions were to put it inside the box just in case it got lost. Verbal abuse not needed. Thanks anyway. HR needs to make a visit to this store. read more

I just experienced the most helpful and fun staff in this busy UPS Store. He was great and literally almost hopped (over) around the counter to help me take an 86 lb equipment box out of my SUV. I tried to help yet he stated again he has it and just open the door. Wow! Now that's customer service at its best! Before I knew it both he and she had scanned my boxes and handed me the receipts. Do yourself a favor and pick another location to get a document notarized. I called in advance to confirm the availability of the notary. They said she leaves at 3pm. After I hung up the phone, I arrived less than five minutes later at 1:03pm the short haired girl said Deja is on her lunch break. I inquired with whom did I just speak to, short haired girl or Deja, short hair said it was Deja - I asked why couldn't anyone inform me that the notary was going to lunch as I inquired about the hours. I left and arrived back at 1:32pm after her lunch was to be over... short hair girl calls Deja from the back and tries to point me out that I was back. Deja goes back into the back for another 10 mins, refusing to come out and service me. Male at the counter tells me that "we don't have to do anything " - they don't like doing notary services at this location. Pick a bank or the other location because this location does not care about their customers, the service that they swear to provide, or the business. Deja couldn't come out of the back to service a customer because she was "busy doing something else and we don't have to help you" is what the male at the front had to say. I was in the store on 3/1/24 @ 3:30 to drop off a return to AMAZON. I was told by Amazon that all I needed to do was drop it off and it would be taken care of. When I arrived, I took the package to a young lady and she told me that I would have to scan the QR code and start the return process. I do not do scanning on my device so I left the store to contact Amazon and get clarification. I was told by them that would NOT be necessary. Keep in mind that I was doing this task for a family member, so I told them, my brother, that he would have to take it there and also, what was needed to be done according to Amazon and the UPS drop off facility. He took it in Today, 3/4/24 @ 1:00 pm and waited in line only to get a very loud and apparently angry male clerk who basically yelled at him that he did not need to stand in line and that there was a kiosk that he could have used. Apparently, this guy assumed that this was an everyday thing for my brother and chose to insult him about his ignorance as to what goes on there, like he should know. After giving out the instructions, he yelled, "WHO'S NEXT"? in an angry and agitated tone. A TOTAL JERK! The two employees that we both dealt with (who work there and I assume earn a paycheck), need to take a few classes on civility and compassion for the clients that come in and conduct business there. This was my first visit to this establishment and my brothers first visit as well, I can assure you that I would not go back to this UPS facility again, they obviously do not feel the need to be polite and helpful and prefer to be abrasive and unhelpful. I'm betting that any higher star reviews are possibly from the more frequent customers or neighbors in the shopping center who claim they receive great service, but if you are new and not 100% knowledgeable of how the process goes and need help, this is definitely not a place you want to do business with in my opinion, unless you like to be treated poorly. Called ahead for a notary he was there until 6pm got there and after standing in a 15 min line he suddenly yelled from the back of the store saying he didn't want to do them. He only only did them until 4:30 and we came in at 4:20. Lazy!!! Will not be back. Very rude. The girl behind the counter even accused me of calling the wrong store and she was the person I spoke to. Totally recognized her voice. I edited this review because I cannot reply to the owners comment below. But the level of service I expected? No, it was not met. When the employees you hire are too lazy to come from in the back to do a few minutes of actual work, you have a problem. We took our business to another store not ups where the girls were friendly. I had a very sentimental package that was to be shipped from this store and was informed a week later when I called to check on the delivery as my son had not received it by the given date, I received the run around for days then weeks stating that the package had been lost. UPS stated a package was never scheduled for pick up. I am very upset that the attitude given to me was "well there have been several packages this week lost by UPS". No further information regarding investigation of employees from the store or UPS company would be done. If a business has that many packages lost? or whatever don't you think something should be done immediately? I've been this UPS Store about 5 times in the past couple of months. Shipping gifts for the holidays in addition to forgotten items of our wedding guests, I felt like I came here pretty regularly. I didn't mind though, because each experience was pretty great! Each time the staff was excellent, helping me with whatever I needed. Wow! They were so incredibly polite here. I was in yesterday and was on the phone when I walked in the ship my packages. I didn't realize they wouldn't interrupt phone calls and the young man at the counter politely waited for me to finish the call. I was the only customer in the store at the time and the staff were so helpful with shipping information and I was floored by their kindness and polite gestures. I would not ever go to this UPS store again! My job requires I ship boxes very frequently and I had the worst customer experience ever at this location. The manager was extremely condescending and exhibited incredibly poor customer service. He tried to charge me for a box that was larger then what I needed and an absurd amount to pack the box although I offered to pack it myself. Would not allow me to borrow scissors or a piece of their tape. I fully understand the liability of running a business but also understand that quality customer service is imperative to run a successful business. This is the WORST UPS store in the world. They have crushed my packages twice. The owner/manager, Chip, is a complete dick and that's putting it nicely. I went to return some clothing to a company with free returns. I couldn't find a box at home or at 2 other stores I visited so I asked them if they had spare.....meaning one in the back. He said I have a box. Thatll be $10.xx (dont remember change). I said I meant one you werent using on back. Oh, no we dont have any I could see empty boxes in the doorway of back room I found a bo in lobby and said, this should work...its only $6. He said that's the one I'm selling you but the other $4 is for packing. I said, you mean you're charging me $4 for picking up this stack and setting it in box? And taping it he said. I said I can do that myself if you let me use your tape. He said he couldn't do that. I asked of they were going bankrupt or something....because it was so ridiculous. We basically had a similar experience as the customer in 2011 except replace Chip with Bobby. Shipped something Next Day Air...that wasn't the issue, package arrived late, that really wasn't the issue except we wanted our money back considering it was "guaranteed" for a certain time. This was July 18, 2014....still trying to deal with 'Bobby' and his son 'Wyatt' and they said they filed a GSR, but they are never at the store and won't ever talk to us over the phone. Drove 20 minutes to get something notarized for work. The male employee behind the counter first told me that the forms I needed notarized had no place for notarization, which I was able to show him was false--there is a blank space asking for signature of notary right on the form. Then he said that it was illegal for him to notarize this particular form in the state of Missouri--wrong again. I travel for work and must get this form notarized every 3-6 months--never had an issue getting it notarized in Missouri. When I told him that I'd had the same form notarized in Missouri previously with no problems, he rudely told me to, "go back and have it notarized wherever you got it done before!" Looked it up and then called the state to double check--the employee at the UPS store simply didn't want to notarize my form. I drove to a notary about 10 minutes away and got the form notarized with no issues. The notary I ended up using said that the UPS Store often gets these things wrong! The afternoon I went to return some Amazon merchandise they were very busy with about 6 people ahead of me. When I reached the counter, the gentleman who helped me said I would need a return code which Amazon should provide. I didn't realize at that time the code was sent to my cell phone and not my desktop computer. So I stepped out of line and started looking for the code on my cell. I found it for the first item I was returning, but then I needed to find the code for the second item. This was taking me longer and so finally the man helping me asked if he could look for it. It took him awhile to find this code, but at no time did he act impatient or brusque, which could have easily happened due to how many people were waiting in line behind me. He was patient and polite the entire time and made my first merchandise return experience a pleasurable one. I would not hesitate to return here for any sort of transaction in the future. read more
