This store misplaced our package that we dropped off to have it shipped. We lost $250 worth of product and I do not trust this place.

The five stars are for the employees of this store who work very hard every day, even under adverse circumstances daily such as loosing their internet, demanding customers, and people who have no patience when these adverse things happen. Yesterday, I was at the store and there was only one gentleman working. The internet was down because of a broken router and there was no way to process a lot of the customers requests because the registers and other services are done online and with computers. There was a huge line and the customers were starting to get agitated, angry, and loud..even after it was explained to them what was going on. It was amazing to see grown adults act this way. There was no kindness or understanding at all. The cashier was the only one working and doing an amazing job considering that there was nothing that he could possibly do to fix the power and connection issues. Come on customers, show some understanding and grace in situations like this. A little kindness and empathy for an obviously unavoidable situation goes a long way. Do better and be kind. You'll be amazed at the results. read more

Wow! Just wow. I went in today to return 3 packages for my boss. I had no idea how to do it. Glen was amazing!! Not only was he the only one in there but he was handling 7 people with ease and a smile. (At least it's felt like he was smiling under the mask...lol) I was so impressed with how each of us felt completely taken care of. He knew what each of us needed and tended to each new customer coming in with a welcoming helpful attitude. If one could be helped quickly he would take them, while still taking care of everyone else. I would have been so overwhelmed in his position, but he had all the Aloha in the world! Thank you Glen!! They keep losing our mail. It's very frustrating they also give us the wrong mail. We pay for a mailbox here and it's hit or miss wether we get our packages and mail. I've had some very important items tracked saying delivered and yet we never got any of it. Then they hand us packages that belong to another mailbox. read more

i am always so happy to visit the ups store :) i have had a mail box here for about three years and receive many packages with no issues whatsoever :) the people are very personable and remember small details about my preferences that uplift my day :) i once had a package that they couldn't find and the kind lady at the desk was so concerned that when i visited a week later she sincerely gave me an update that it wasn't lost (i already picked it up). i was so surprised she remembered :) i can be shy and some of my most enjoyable human interactions have been here, especially during covid : ) thank you! read more

So I'm out of town and needed to mail off a lease payment for my business before it was considered late. By sheer luck the place we were eating at had this UPS store right by it. I went in to use their computer so I could print and then fax a tax document. An older woman working their suggested I forward the email to her personal email so she could open and print it for me. I told her ABDOLUTELY NOT, the doc had my social security number all over it. She was insistent, said she did it for people all the time and continued to argue with me until I left and went to the UPS store in Lihue who were appalled when I told them about my experience. Against my better judgment, I went in to mail some books, dealt with the same woman and I asked for the media shipping rate. I was basically ripped off and paid far more than I should have. To make matters worse, I could tell she was confused but she insisted she had put the right books in the right boxes and refused to let me inspect. Two of the 4 books wound up at the wrong address. More than anything, I'm alarmed by the encounter where she insisted I send her my tax documents. That seemed very shady. I shudder to think what she would have done with my social security number. read more

ALL WRONGS MADE RIGHT! I shipped an item from this store and it was damaged in shipment. When the manager of the store, Cathy, returned following Thanksgiving, she contacted after hearing about my initial complaint. UPS had packaged the product I was shipping, and it was poorly packed. Consequently, it broke and leaked out during transit. Cathy was so apologetic and said that the person handling the product was new to the store, but still felt terrible the customer service for the store was not up to my expectation. The manager shipped me two (not just one like I shipped) items to replace my damaged product. She also refunded my fill shipping/packing price with a check that was delivered to my house. Cathy at the UPS Store in Kapaa is my idea of great customer service. I will ship there again when I return to Hawaii this summer. read more

I would like to stay the people who work in this Kapaa Kauai UPS Store i.e., Brian and Karlina are superior. I had a very difficult packing request involving glassware and a wooden large carved statue that required special handling and packing. I was having a friend drop off my glassware and boxes and statue at the UPS Store in Kapaa Kauai and then the UPS Team was handling everything from there. Packing and coordinating how I would email labels to them. They were sensational. Thank you for sending my treasures and memories that made my heart sing and my spirit and soul grateful not to have lost them. While it holds true that our box of mead was quite costly to ship, we are happy that we got them out. There is no way the airline would have accepted our 6 bottles and as it turns out, UPS is actually cheaper than what the airline might have chosen to do. Anyhow, they also mail out those wonderful flat rate USPS boxes as well. Great service, a wonderful abundance of "Fragile" stickers (after you purchase the packet, but they don't cost much and there's a lot in there), yes, this is a good spot. Also, if memory serves correctly, this might be the only spot nearby that allows the mailing of liquor. Don't quote me on that though, I could be wrong but I remember someone mentioning that to us. read more

The people who work here are just amazing! I had a p.o box with this particular store about a year ago when first stimulus checks went out, so I was very worried when I found out the second stimulus checks would be sent to the same address and there's no way to update or change current address info according to IRS website. So I was stressing out that I may not receive my check at all. So I called ups store and explain my situation and to my surprise they were unbelievably helpful and super super friendly and nice about the whole situation. They could have sent my check back and not help me because I was no longer paying for a box with them for awhile now but obviously this place has compassion on their customers and aren't like most businesses who care about one thing only and that would be $$$$$$. My check did come in and they did hold it for me and called me to pick it up as well. A special thanks to GLENN, KARLINA, and unfortunately i forgot the name of another older lady with short dirty blond hair and glasses who might be the manager? These 3, especially GLENN went over and beyond what is expected of them and i will forever be grateful for these people and this place. read more

Wow! A+++++ I can not say enough good things about this store. We were running all over to find somewhere on a Saturday afternoon that could print the programs for our fathers funeral on Monday. We arrived at this location as they were closing and were greeted by Glen. When I explained that we were frantically searching for a company with printing services that could help us he was more then happy to help us in our situation. He graciously invited us and helped us right away with everything we needed. He was accurate, courteous and eager to help. We are so thankful for Glen and all he did to help us at this UPS location. We were in need of 200 program copies for my dad's funeral on Monday morning. Every other printing shop was closed, and found that UPS Kapaa would be closing at 5p and would be closed on Sunday. With 15 min to closing, i emailed our file to their store, my brother and sister-in-law rushed down to their store arriving minutes before they closed and was helped by Glen. His awesome customer service and empathy towards my family is so very much appreciated!!!! He agreed to complete our order even after their store was scheduled to close. We can check one more thing off our list of many things to do to get ready for my dad's final farewell. Travelers Beware . . . Just prior to leaving for the airport to return home from vacation, I stopped at this store to ship a 25lb package of souvenirs back to the mainland (MN). The "cheapest" I was told I could do the shipment for was $89 (unless I wanted to wait 3 months for my package to arrive home). I was in a rush to head to the airport, and understand things tend to be pricey in Hawaii, so I paid the $89. Upon arriving home, I looked up the pricing on the UPS website and found that their fee for shipping was $70. I know the store needs to make a buck, but they charged me a $20 premium (note: they did not do any of the boxing nor sell me the packing materials). I also looked up the shipping fees at USPS, and the fee would have been only $60. This store is really taking advantage of tourists, and has soured me on using UPS Stores in the future . . . . read more

Okay going home after a long beautiful vacation on Kauai is a drag. And sending items home is equally a drag. But rejoice! The UPS store to the rescue! And a guy named Glen. A small local establishment that has post boxes and people that just stop in for a chat. Local notary comes in for their services a few times a week. And just the typical UPS store process. But Glen goes the extra mile. Since my hobby/retired business requires lengths of wood, Glen made sure the wood purchased would be packed correctly. But his demeanor and professional attitude can't be ignored. He is happy your here with him and happy you are enjoying his island. Can't say anything about the rates due to the policies of packing. But the whole experience reminded me of a barber shop where Glen knows everyone. And believe me, I've used A number of UPS stores in the past a none have impressed me more than this one. I do a lot of random printing for nonprofit work, and after many efforts of only supporting the 'small local business' like I wanted to, I went to UPS Store because many of the others were unreliable. These people are AMAZING! They answer the phone, return calls/emails right away, can get print jobs done SUPER fast (mostly within the hour) and they have a wonderful staff who have come to know me by name. Went to have an item notarized and was directed to counter. Their where no customers in the store and no apparent work being done. I waited and waited while the two ups employees had a conversation that went on and on with total disregard to my presence. I eventual left the store. What happened to customers come first? I also left with the feeling I was not service because I was local (discrimination going on here). read more

The staff at the UPS Store were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I wanted to have some ID photos made for travel. Although the camera in the store wasn't available, they used their personal camera and e-mailed the photos for us. That's going way beyond the usual and we are very appreciative. read more

Having travelled to Kauai from Tasmania for Christmas we arranged for a few items to be delivered to the UPS store. The inevitable Christmas mail delays meant that two items did not arrive until Christmas Eve. The store manager, Shaughnessie, definitely went beyond the call of duty by returning to the store after hours to allow me to travel from elsewhere on the island to collect the packages (Christmas presents...) It would be challenging to have an unenjoyable Christmas on Kauai, but the fabulous service provided by Shaughnessie and the UPS Store meant that there was an extra special glow on my kids' faces on Christmas morning (and mine - one of the packages contained a little something for me too!) read more
