Review for service I recieved March 2017 for my Macbook Pro. My screen cracked so I took it to them before they closed and we were able to settle a deal on the repair. Actually turned out that Apple had a recall for those particular Macbook screens and I got mines repaired for free - I recommend knowing about these in case the employees don't bring it up and upcharge you. Turnaround was about 3-4 days, really fast service. They called when it was ready and I was in the shop for less than 15 minutes. It is vulnerable as they need to access your laptop but I recommend backing everything up on an external hard drive. Best next thing to an Apple store - Highly recommend! read more

As much as I always say to support local, This place is a constant disappointment. They charged me $140 to update my operating system. As if I don't know how to do that myself. That's not why my computer was running slow and it's still running slow but now has significantly less storage. I didn't update it for that reason, the new OP takes up hella space and really doesn't do anything different. Also my space bar was sticking and crappy so I asked them to fix it. They replaced it and it's still sticking and crappy (wasn't like that when I bought the computer) chick said it's that gen computers the space bar is just like that and "if I want to fix the space bar, I should buy another computer" ‍ certainly won't be buying it from these guys! Don't waste your time, mine as well just ship it to Apple. $140 down the drain. read more

We were in a real bind when my partner's iPhone suddenly died with no warning. Since he is diabetic and his Dexcom is connected to his phone, this was more than just a mere inconvenience. Weak sauce. Went in with a dozen screen after an update. Told me I needed a screen replacement on a brand new 15 pro. I asked if the could do a restore via pc and iTunes. They said that won't work. Went home did just that , now I'm leaving this on my working phone. Not to mention they say said maybe they can get to it in four days. read more

I have been a customer there for several years, bought three computers and several accessories there. On November 11. I tried to return, or get a charger fixed that was purchased on October 24. The first question was, "Do you have the receipt?" No, I can go and get it, but you have me in your system and you can surely verify that the device was purchased here. Second question, "Do you have the box?" No, why would the box be of any relevance when the product is faulty, all I want is get it fixed or replaced. Now the manager gets involved and comes up with the ultimate customer service driven answer: "Sorry, nothing we can do, OUR POLICY is, take items back within the 14 day window and it is now 18 days!" Well, MY POLICY is, to never again purchase anything at MacMadeEasy. So much for trying to buy locally when I could have purchased the charger for $ 30 less on the internet. read more

Some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Very difficult to get someone to actually even help you. I signed up in line which was pointless and the guy helped 4 people completely ignoring me until someone spoke up and said I think you should help her she is before me. Being in this store is like being on a bad Seinfield episode. I don't know if it's because everyone is really young but everyone except one person was super condescending and rude. It is actually their job to help people.. Also everything is so insanely overpriced, save your money and buy parts on amazon. THE LAPTOP REPAIR GUY QUIT. No one answered the phone. Message states you can drop in for help. I drove to the shop at three in the afternoon. One employee on her phone, another employee came in five minutes later on her phone. No customers in the store. They tell me they can't help me and will have to ship my laptop off to another island which will take up to 10 days. When I asked why someone couldn't just answer the phone to tell people that rather than waste our time having us drive in, her reply was, "We're too busy to answer phones." Seriously??! (P. S. If I could give 0 stars I would! THEY SELL ITEMS OUTDATED ITEMS!!!! Everything they sell is broken. They will make you pay them to return broken items. We bought a mac book pro to replace one that was stolen from us here on the island, right out of the rental home we were staying in. The replacement wouldn't hold a charge upon taking it off the charger, and when we brought it back a day after purchase for return, they charged us a 15% restocking fee (over $200). The manager even said "we will sell this as an open box laptop" THEY SELL ITEMS THEY KNOW ARE BROKEN!!!! read more

This is not an official apple store. The customer service is horrible, and they misinform there customers. One of the workers (Shane) gave me invalid information on two occasions, I had to call apple to get the right info. I am visiting from California and I was hoping to get a new computer here as a gift but there terms of service is not identical to apple. Very unprofessional and will never come back. read more

We rely on experts to give us the best recommendations. Not only are there experts in this store, but they're highly trustworthy. There aren't enought stars to convey my appreciation for the staff of Mac Made Easy. While on vacation in Kauai, my wife's laptop was stolen from our condo. When the laptop was taken to Mac Made Easy a few days later for service, their techs noticed the lock message we were able to send to it, called us on the number we posted and helped to return the laptop through the Kauai police. After we received the laptop, we went to the store to thank them and get some advice on the state the laptop was in with the OS being partially reinstalled. They helped us reinstall the operating system and get the laptop back up and running without any charge. This group was a highlight of our trip and deserves your patronage!! read more

I ordered an Apple Watch series 3 in rose gold, 42mm at the end of May. Only to find out that at the ending of June that my order was never placed.... and was told that it would take about 1 - 2 weeks to be delivered. After the third week, they said that my order was on a back order via their computer system. Only to call the 4th week to be notified that there was no record of my order being placed.... I've been eagerly waiting for it for a month... this is the last time I will order something through them. I've order my watch online from Apple.com and it will arrive in 2 days. If my order was never placed, why didn't someone notify me about it earlier when I called to check in and see if my order arrived there during the previous weeks.... whoever answered the phone in the previous weeks should have said something.... read more

We bought an ipad on the mainland when we were on vacation this summer because we wanted to have a portable device to look up hotels & travel plans. We didn't realize Kauai had a Mac place. I took my ipad in today because the screen has a hairline crack in it. Michelle was super friendly & helpful. She gave me different options & didn't push the more expensive route of getting the screen replaced. She suggested I purchase a screen saver & a more durable case than the one I had. My life has been saved! I'm a graphic designer visiting the island with my family and was in desperate need of a new power cord for my MacBook Pro. I looked up Apple stores on Kaua'i and found Mac Made Easy. I gave them a quick call to check and see if they had my specific cord in stock and Zoey informed me they did but to make sure to bring my computer in with me to make sure everything checked out. I drove to Lihue and found the store easily, Zoey was able to help me out right away and even helped me save 40$ by switching out my cord and testing it with the box I already had. Totally recommend checking out Mac Made Easy for anything apple. It was so much easier coming here to get my family's phones fixed. Prices are reasonable, and they estimate up to a week's worth of shipping and fixing, but it's done such faster. Customer service is awesome!
