Neighbors be aware! Please do not send your packages to this location, I'm a victim of scammers I don't know if it's through the UPS store or the UPS driver. I redirected a package to this location and the package was delivered because I received an email. I went to pick up my package at the UPS store in Laplata and the worker (Gee) who was very rude and would not give me his full name when I requested it told me the package was already picked up, how could that be did you verify their identity, he said he did. I had to file a police report with the LaPlata Police Department. I will never use this business again! read more

This is the best UPS store in the whole Charles County, MD! I can drop off my packages at any time of the day and never have to wait more than, 1 to 2 minutes in line.The employees always greet me and always appear to be happy. In the early mornings, if one of their employees see me standing outside before they open (9:00 am). They will open their door and provide me service, with a smile. For that reason, I purposely skip the other UPS stores, which are closer to my address, and drive the extra couple of miles. With the large amount of live plants I ship out, daily, I've never had a customer complain of a delivery delay or damage to their item. The manager is a loud mouth who obviously likes to hear herself talk. She is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Today she crossed the line, yanked a package from my hands and while i was in mid sentence asking for a receipt for a very expensive item, she SHOUTED AT ME to put the next item on the scale. Unbelievable. Shes always loud. She's never not talking endlessly as if she has a mental illness for which she has not been medicated, but today was next level inappropriate and i will absolutely never spend another minute or another dime at this location due to the managers ridiculous and rude behavior. read more

I go to this store to drop off my Amazon packages. The hours say closed at 7pm on Friday. Didn't know this coming to the store, thought they closed later actually. Nevertheless. I get to the store 6:55pm and the store was completely locked up? I realize it was last minute, right before close but it takes 2 seconds for me to drop off an Amazon package and I already boxed it up and put label on. Only needs a scan. Just frustrating when having to now plan another trip back. Doors should lock at 7, not 5 till close read more

the owner is rude and does not even follow corporate policies. asking for IDs to mail packages from some people but not others and then deciding which ID he will accept (UPS policy is any Government ID), not "only a US ID" like he decided. I am a host parent to an international student, when I asked the franchise owner about it he informed me "he makes the rules for his store". I asked him for corporate's information, he refused to give it to me and demanded to see my ID. I was not shipping anything so told him no there was no need for me to show him my ID He further informed me "I can ask for anyone in the stores ID and if they won't show it they can leave". again I asked for UPS corporate information and he told me to "show him my ID then he will give it to me"... I called UPS customer service and they told me their policy on IDs, when I tried to tell him he said the policy is what he says in his store. the arrogance of this guy is amazing, all he ended up doing was scaring a young female exchange student and making her first experience in this area one that where she questions if she is even allowed to send a package if she isn't a US citizen. She didn't even argue, showed the guy 3 different government IDs and was ready to leave and try the post office. As her host parent I am hurt for her and sad that people this arrogant, rude, and hateful are allowed to own a franchise such as this. read more

This is the only UPS Store in the area of La Plata so it's often very crowded. Notwithstanding that the staff are always polite and efficient. Sometimes you go in there and you see a long line but it really moves quickly. I've been doing Amazon returns and mailing of packages frequently and I have never had a bad experience. One time a gentleman who worked there came out and helped me lift a heavy box from my car. I definitely recommend this store read more

We run a small business and needed to ship some artisan soap. We chose this store to PACK and ship. We received photos back from the customer. My 5 year old granddaughter could have done better. Fortunately the soap arrived undamaged. read more

If you are a professional WOMAN...or a woman period...I would advise you to stay away from this location... unless you don't want to be helped but discriminated against, spoken to in a condescending manner and/or ignored when asking for store information, or his name. I don't think he could believe that I asked him questions based on the conflicting information received by an employee from that location! He wouldn't give me his name He wouldn't give me the store number He told me if I had a problem I could call the BOSS! (But I called corporate instead ) Very unprofessional! It's a shame when other UPS stores have heard of this person and the location-due to numerous women customers complaining to them about their experiences! He had to be corrected several times...after he told me there were available business mailboxes and then insinuated that there were none-He negatively asserts "YOU DON'T LISTEN" I assured him that I was listening very well...and his information/explanation was contradicting...I also advised him to never in his life speak to me like that again! We have a UPS store in my home town of Granbury TX. They are good. The La Plata MD store was without question perfect. A woman held the door for me and I let her go first. I was returning three packages. One of which I needed the label printed from a email on my phone. The lady running the store was polite and efficient. I was done in less than 60 seconds. You want to advertise you run the tightest ship in the shipping business, get every store to work this hard and this efficiently. read more

Sent a print job. When I arrived the job was a mess. It was not collated properly as requested. Some paper was stock which I had not requested. The clerk was not even willing to hear my complaint, simply said I could resend it, but would have to pay again. I asked for the business card of the manager, who he said was not in the store, but he kept going into a backroom to consult "the manager." Had to spend 30 minutes in store, trying to sort to make sure I had all the copies I needed as the clerk continued to remind me that I would have to pay to have the copies redone. Everyone is always helpful and friendly at this store. They always offer to help with carrying bulky packages. I'm fact, when I had to ship boxes of books to Colorado one time, two men helped me carry them in and repack them so they fit the boxes better and so were most cost efficient to ship. This is the only UPS store in la Plata, so they're pretty busy, but they always take time to help each person. Having used this location for everything from faxing to mailing to copying and printing it's always convenient, cost effective, and the staff are extremely helpful. I've printed stuff on line and when I arrive it's ready - has even been trimmed/cut without asking for it.
