Avoid this location. Lazy scanning cost me $100 (and management doesn't care). I will never use this Lakewood location again. I went in to ship multiple packages of T-shirts to my students. The employee at the counter accidentally scanned the exact same package twice. Because of this careless mistake, one of my actual packages went onto a truck without ever being properly input into the system. When you're shipping multiple things, you trust the employees to do their jobs right--you don't sit there and audit every digit of a 18-character tracking number on the spot. Because of their error, the package was never delivered, and because there was no digital record of its true tracking number, it was impossible to track down. The worst part was the management's response. I brought the receipt back to the store and showed the owner the undeniable proof: **two identical tracking numbers printed right there on the receipt.** It was a clear, unarguable mistake on their end. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to make it right, the owner flatly refused to help. I am out $100 worth of merchandise because they wouldn't own up to a scanning error. I now actively avoid this store and make a special drive out to the Rocky River location whenever I need to use UPS. Save yourself the headache and the lost money--go somewhere else. read more

I had to write this review to praise the new team member at this location. A lot of the time I come into this location the employees are all over the place, some of them take their time and are on their phones, one time even eating chips while I was waiting at the register, others just don't seem to be helping out at all. My latest visit to this location however, Josh was there and I just have to say, even though is new he literally runs circles around ALL the other employees, it was busy, he was by himself, could have been easily stressed out by the situation however he was fast and efficient, got through the line in record speed and all while being so very kind and really brightening the day of all the customers he helped. I will continue to visit this location as long as he's still there. read more

I went in today to return a few packages and was frustrated by the experience. There were three employees behind the counter, and only one customer being helped, yet I was directed to use the Amazon self-service kiosk instead of receiving assistance. It felt impersonal and inefficient, especially when staff were clearly available. I would have appreciated the option to be helped directly rather than being pushed to handle everything myself. read more

I wish this was made up - I received one of those "Sorry we missed you" slips with no notes or check marks as to why they couldn't deliver my package (no signature/age verification needed), so I went to the store, got my package, asked what the issue was and the guy says verbatim, "honestly the drivers are just lazy. Ya know, with the steps and all" ..... BRO. The *DELIVERY* drivers are too damn lazy to deliver????? Amazon and FedEx have zero issue walking up FOUR STAIRS to my apartment building's lobby/mail area. Hell, they even walk straight up to my 2nd floor apartment sometimes. This isn't the first time I've gotten one of these slips either, and it's only ever UPS. This store has such a foul smell. The employees have mostly been pleasant and helpful (one woman in particular not so much) but the odor in this facility is unforgivable. It's a combination of a locker room, sewage, and mold. Gross. Overall, can get your packing/shipping needs met here but there are definitely better options. The work station here is pretty small and the lighting is dim as well. There's parking so you can get in and out easily but that's the only perk. I recommend the FedEx on Ridge Road as an alternative. read more

I'd give ZERO stars if I could. I had an oversized item I needed returned to Amazon. They (amazon) issued me the return label and arranged a pickup, but I missed the driver when he came to my house. Since I wasn't sure if I could drop this off due to the length, I called the UPS store in Rocky River, OH. The woman on the phone was like, sure bring it in. I told her it was a large item, and she said fine. So, I show up, and when I bring it in the store, employees were extremely rude and unhelpful. The girl behind the counter was apparently a mute because she just stood there looking stupid. Another employee came over, and was mumbling some obscenities, saying Jesus C**** and other things I didn't quite catch. He said, oh no, that's much too large. We can't take that. Next time, call ahead (I did call beforehand). He told me I could take it to the local UPS center. I made a trip there, and wasted another hour of my life because they said they couldn't take it, either (it was over 8 ft). Guess all the tractor trailers parked there are just for show. I guess this is the norm post-covid, or maybe the people working for UPS were always incompetent, rude imbeciles. Then again, when I see them deliver stuff to my porch, they're usually too lazy to even walk up three steps. So, not surprised. Extremely poor customer service. This review is for the store at 19885 Detroit Rd, Rocky River, OH 44116, but TBH, everyone I dealt with from UPS today seemed to be on the lower end of the IQ Bell curve. read more

Awful awful store! I would avoid this UPS store at all cost. The place is filthy and the employers are AWFUL!! No one acknowledges you at all when you walk into the store and when somebody finally does help you, there is no eye contact there is no thank you. There is no nothing. I've been in here several times to ship stuff or send a cable box back and especially during the pandemic these workers have to deal with a lot of crap from a lot of people. I just left the store with a great experience and the two people behind the counter were so incredibly helpful with an oversized package I had to ship. And I was really only going to go in for a quote but after she explained the costs and what was associated with it I didn't even take it to FedEx or the post office... I stayed here and shipped it. Again, the amount of returned and waiting to ship packages was taller than one person working but that didn't stop them from trying to deliver the best customer service under these trying times. O was also expecting the box to ship to be around $75 as it was 35" x 15" and weighed 15lbs.....$29 and it will be there tomorrow. Happy customer read more

I had an experience last week where the UPS driver was supposed to pick an item but didn't. There was an issue with the labels for shipping, and the driver was supposed to pick an item. Instead the driver yelled at me telling me to get the labels myself and send the items. I thought that was very rude and inappropriate. I contacted the customer service department via email, and they forwarded my complaint to this office. I also called the 800 number and shared my experience. They said they would forward my complaint to the office, and someone would reply. I have been waiting a whole week to hear from this office. No one contacted me. read more

If I could give this UPS store negative stars, I would. Do NOT do anything important through this store! Amazon returns? Sure--if they even manage to be open when they say they will. We paid to have a package professionally packed, and the recipient of the package took video as he opened the $7,000 items we sent, and THERE WAS ZERO PACKING! Worse yet, when we requested a refund ($300+) because the store didn't do its job, the owner (Scott) never returned our calls or emails and said through his manager (Kirk) that he needed more information about how he would be made whole if he refunded us the money. How is that fair or honest business operation? It should not matter if he got paid back--his store didn't do what it was paid to, so we were rightfully owed a refund. At long last, after more than HALF A YEAR of back and forth, I finally took it to UPS corporate, who did pay us back. I also reported the store to the Better Business Bureau, which reported to me that the store's management just never replied to its investigation. STEER CLEAR OF USING THIS STORE FOR ANYTHING IMPORTANT. Not only are they capable of not doing what you pay them to do, but they don't take accountability for a job undone. The worst ups store! They run things backwards compared to other ups stores. They have the rudest most incompetent employees I have ever seen there. I guess they get it from the owner of that franchised location who is even more rude and ignorant then the employees he has hired. I've had to use this place a lot for a couple of months because I found myself having to deal with a business transaction in another state while I was staying with a relative in Lakewood, and that involved printing and faxing a bunch of signed documents. Relative has no printer, let alone a fax, and the party on the other end of the deal seemed to come up with some new item that had to be printed out and signed and faxed every other day for weeks. After an initial very bad experience with a Fedex/ Kinkos over on Center Ridge, I turned to this UPS Store and made many trips down there. Location is a big plus here. It's in a shopping plaza with lots of parking, so you can combine a visit to UPS store with picking up takeout food, buying groceries at Marc's discount store, etc. It is also within Lakewood proper so no need to spend time and gas money driving 5 miles or more out to Rocky River or North Olmsted or into Cleveland. To my knowledge this is one of the only places in Lakewood where you can just print out a quick document, like a boarding pass or a form you need to sign, especially if you are not a Lakewood resident. Lakewood residents can use the library printers for free but you have to have a Lakewood library card and sign up for computer time - and my experience with using the computers there back before they required everyone to have a Lakewood library card is that getting a computer there often was a complete time consuming clustersuck, not a quick and easy process. As for the other printing companies in Lakewood, with the possible exception of Staples on W 117th they are all in the business of printing big presentations, tons of copies, business cards etc. - not somebody's two-minute declarations form or boarding pass. Cost is another plus. If you use their "print by upload to website" service it's only 9 cents a page, and for smaller jobs you can simply e-mail them to your web account (like a gmail), then go in and print them directly from the e-mail attachment on the store computer and pay for what you print. I was usually able to print out 2 to 5 pages for under 2 dollars, and send a fax for another 2 dollars. Based on the location and cost alone, I used this location many times and would probably use it again in the future if the need should arise (I finally caved and bought a printer for relative's house so hopefully it won't, but you never know.) A few limitations to be aware of: 1) This place is not open Sundays. At all. 2) The "print by upload to website" worked for me once or twice, but the second or third time I tried it, something went haywire, my document never showed up at the store, and three different clerks trying to fix the problem were not able to recover it even after a half hour's worth of efforts. In the end they let me use the computer to print from my e-mail for free on that occasion, and I decided to just use that method at cost in the future because it was more reliable, since I generally only had a couple pages to print out at a time and the cost would be under 5 dollars. I also didn't like how the "print by upload" method, even when working properly, makes you wait 24 hours before your printout was supposedly "ready"; might make sense if it was 20 copies of a 10 page report, but for 3 little pages it shouldn't take 24 hours to spit them out. 2) This UPS Store doesn't accept waybills for shipping. It didn't affect me this time as I wasn't shipping, but I heard them telling several other customers they'd need to take their packages to some other UPS store to ship by waybill...kind of a pain because you expect all UPS stores to offer the same shipping options. 3) Although the clerks on duty here provided reasonably decent service (some of them clearly more experienced than others, but that's expected), I witnessed one uncomfortable incident of them dealing with an older, physically disabled customer who was clearly from out of town, not experienced with shipping, did not have their act totally together and granted was kind of a pain to deal with...but I still do not expect the clerks to all start laughing and making fun of the person behind their back after they leave the store, in front of other customers such as myself. Based on that I would have to tell the seniors I know in Lakewood (some of whom are my relatives) not to go there because they might be the next targets to be laughed at behind their backs after they go out the door. If the clerks want to laugh at or gripe about customers who need help, please go in the break room and do it there, don't do it out in the open in front of the other customers, because it doesn't leave a very professional or respectful impression. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I literally NEVER write a review, but this is for that fat POS ALEXANDER we dealt with yesterday who looks like he hasn't washed his shirt in 6 weeks talking to anybody lookin like that! Had the worst attitude from the moment we stepped to the counter. We walked up trying to turn in our u-verse boxes that we just cancelled a week ago, keep in mind we JUST CANCELED A WEEK AGO! Before we're even finished telling him why were here, he snatches the bag, yanks the receivers out complaining about (while rolling his eyes) "well there's just a deadline is all and of course these are outdated!" Sorry, but that's not our problem! We've had these recievers since we moved from our apartment which obviously means we still had the service right jacka$$?! Like I said we only just canceled LAST WEEK! Also, the AT&T rep told us we had till Apr. 20th to turn them in or else, WE emphasis on WE would have to pay $150! So why he's acting like anything is coming out of his pockets is beyond me???? Anyways, doesn't make a difference because we didn't have to pay AND we brought our stuff back beforeeee the date WE were given! He's all angry for no reason tossing stuff around like a mad little kid talking about "out of date" but how would we have known that if NOBODY TOLD US??!!! Then he aggressively hands us the receipt while "man splaning" to us about how we can't lose it over and over and how "even if your dog eats it we don't care, don't lose it" Then as we're leaving he's mumbling something under those 4 chins of his something about "why are people so..." No Alexander why are you such an unhappy PRICK! Btw hope your pizza tasted like sh!it and gave you the worst diarrhea! Yeah, because that's all Alex could talk about with his little friend is pizza and that he gets off in 30 min. Instead of ever talking to us at all! Or even explaining why he's so upset, over the "outdated" equipment not like we gaf honestly because we were just doing what we were told to do but, how bout enlightening your customers so they know for next time! Although, after this.... there most definitely will be NO next time!!! And if AT&T gets our equipment broken for any reason bc of his over aggresiveness (as if anybody was supposed to be scared of that ) we're gonna have issues! I didn't use this store myself, but received something they shipped from a friend of mine. It was a glass juicer, about 6"x4". They wrapped it in so much bubble wrap and tape, then a box that was much too big and tons of styrofoam peanuts. She is an elderly lady on a fixed income, and I felt horrible at what they must have charged her to ship this item just about a distance of 38 miles. I took a photo of all the crap they charged her for, but guess I can't post it here. The box was 12x12x12. Really, with all the bubble wrap and tape, that thing was secure and would've been fine in a smaller box. read more

I arrived about 3 minutes before closing, but I had hoped it wouldn't be a big deal as my shipment was already pre-paid/labeled and just needed dropped off (too big for a drop-box). The door was already locked, but the guy inside (owner, I was told) saw me walk up, and I said, "It's pre-paid, just needs dropped off." He went back to whatever he was doing, but he didn't say, "we're closed" or "go away" so I figured he was going to open the door when he finished. Instead, I stood there for 15 minutes watching him wrap up until he came over and closed the security gate in my face without ever making eye contact again. If that's the kind of customer service / basic human decency you get from the owner, I'd recommend taking your business somewhere else. read more
