I like this UPS store as it is very convenient and the closest to me! I usually use UPS to drop off items I have already packed and all I usually need is the drop off receipt. Lately, I have not been having problems as the service you get usually depends on who's working. Before, there was this worker and if you happen to go a little closer to the closing hours, he won't provide a drop off receipt. I remember asking why every time and it's because it's usually the sam response which is, no more paper. Having paper in the morning(s) but not near closing time screams just laziness to me. Thankfully, I haven't seen this old guy in a while. The workers now are much more nicer and definitely provide more value to my experience at UPS. Still, I wouldn't be lying if that old worker ruined my experience at this store. I've been visiting UPS Store 1211 on Olympic Blvd for years to drop off my returns, and typically, the service has been fine. However, for the past six months or so, there has been an employee named Tilak Thanam who has consistently provided poor customer service. Tilak is unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional during my visits. Each time, I request a receipt for the items I'm shipping, which is standard practice and a reasonable request. However, Tilak always refuses, claiming the store doesn't provide them--something other UPS employees have never had an issue with. A few days ago, I went in for a Happy Returns transaction, where I handed him two items to be scanned. Unfortunately, he only scanned one item, and I wasn't aware of it until I received an email stating that only one item was processed. When I called the store to explain the mistake, Tilak was not only unapologetic but rude, claiming it wasn't his problem. He told me I would need to come back to the store to fix the issue, even though he was the one who made the mistake. When I suggested emailing him the return code so he could process it, he refused and rudely hung up, saying he was too busy with other customers. This kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially for someone handling customers directly. Tilak has repeatedly shown he is not interested in helping customers and, frankly, shouldn't be working the front counter if he's unwilling to provide the basic level of service expected. Customers deserve better, and this ongoing issue needs to be addressed. read more

* * DO NOT USE MAILBOX SERVICES AT THIS LOCATION * * My fiancé had used this UPS location's mailbox services since our apartment is notorious for package theft. The package was delivered to this location on a Friday, unfortunately my fiancé does not get off work until 6pm. Since this location closes at 5pm, he decided it would be fine to pick up his package the following morning. When we get there the next morning, my fiancé was informed by the older worker that his package was already picked up! He said that whoever picked up the package had all of my fiancé's information, but did not have the correct ID. Sooo tell me why the worker still allowed this random person with a North Carolina ID pick up his package ?? The worker said he kept trying to tell the random person they couldn't pick up the package without the proper ID, yet he STILL gives it to them? Tell me you don't have a backbone without telling me you dont have a backbone, like BRUH. So the worker proceeds to scan the ID of the thief, and then give the thief the package. My fiancé then reaches out to the owner of this UPS, and the owner of the store proceeds to tell my fiancé that "his store really isn't a UPS store" and that UPS just uses his mail boxes. He then starts blaming my fiancé how the thief got his information, and in the end the owner of the store could not take responsibility. My fiancé has opened a claim with UPS online, but has not been reimbursed yet. His package cost about$1,000+ and UPS has yet to do anything. Do yourself a favor and NEVER use this store, because they will give your packages away to anyone, not take responsibility, and then blame you for it. read more

This business has their act together. We just came back from a very long trip, everything was organized and ready for us to pick up when we returned. We have now been using the UPS Center on Olympic and Sawtelle for seven years and we are extremely happy with their service. Using them is a lot safer than using a mailbox if you are living in an apartment. No worries about porch pirates. There has been pretty much a complete turnover of personnel in the last year or so but the new group is as excellent as the prior group. We love this place and know are deliveries are safe with them. read more

Newer quiet UPS store unfortunately lacks customer service and initiative for problem resolution. I usually go to the UPS store in Westwood. I was walking by this newer one, so I decided to drop off a small store approved return since it looked quiet with two customers. Indeed quiet although somewhat slow. After 10 min, I presented my small parcel and the approved return code. The rep could not scan it, and grumbled I needed to make it brighter. I tried to pull up another image while he looked on annoyingly. I suggested entering the code manually. "No, if I cannot scan it, I cannot help you." I walked out not to waste more time. On my way to UCLA I dropped off my package at my usual ups store that scanned my code with no problem. read more

I came visit this location for scan and copy some pages. I think the black and white is 0.75, don't remember about the colors price... This day is the best experience day so far Jan 16th, 2024. A gentlemen and a lady works at the store around 1pm, these two kind people are tent to younger age. They were friendly, I can tell that they are trying and willing to help me scan my papers and documents. To me this visit does make me feel that I'm welcomed here, and will visit here again :) Parking now is kind limit in front of the store, the plaza has its own parking lot underground; the UPS will validate the parking ticket for 30mins. read more

I've been frequenting this store for years only due to its proximity, and I've been wanting to voice my opinion but have held off. I can't do it anymore. The general cold, disrespect, and just plain meanness of this stores employees is breathtaking. Every time I have a return I cringe at the thought of having to saunter in here and deal with the owner and a long-time manager. Today was my breaking point. I went to mail a large computer display to my brother, and having no other options, needed to pay the insubordinate fees to pack and ship it with another company. As soon as I entered with the large item, I was almost scoffed at. "Umm, you really shouldn't mail that here. It's going to be expensive. You should sell it online instead." First off, UPS employee jerk, what I'm doing with my property is none of your business. Second off, do you want my business or not?! Every time I go in here, the waft of discontent is potent. I feel like I'm bothering them just by walking in the door. YOU ARE RUNNING A BUSINESS. I AM YOUR CUSTOMER! Hellooooo! After I convinced them to take my business, I was told it would be $100. Okay, that's fine. Then, as they're halfway through scattering around doing a fairly crummy job packing my item, I get the final bill. $235 to mail an item with ground shipping to Colorado. HIGHWAY ROBBERY! I guess it's $125 for a piece of cardboard and some bubble wrap. Since I'm in a hurry, I decide to just pay for the damn thing. The owner basically scoffs at me the whole time and makes a whole scene about how they "told me" ahead of time how much It'd be. I felt taken advantage of and disappointed in myself for thinking they'd treat me fairly. Never have I been treated as such a worthless human being in my life, to the point of actually wanting to report them to the BBB. If this wasn't a consistent regular behavior from these employees I would've just let it slide and certainly not write this review. I just want people to know so they can get their winter coats before walking into this frigid place. Shame on me for entering a business and overpaying to keep their lights on. I guess these UPS franchisees can operate without giving two craps about how they treat their customers. I'll never set foot in this location again, I'll tell you that. Parking can be tough in this tight strip mall but I'm never there long. With my Amazon returns I'm in, have UPS scan a bar code for my taped package (required), and out. Staff has always been just "meh" -- especially the older short man...hence the meh rating. read more

I've come here many time to handle Amazon returns and also to ship concert tickets! I've never had a problem with any of the employees. Are they super happy to see you? Probably not, it's hot as hell these days and Amazon returns are probably the bane of their existence, but they've never made a fuss for me. Even when I had to ship concert tickets to a friend (I know, they were physical tickets so I couldn't do an online transfer), I opted to have a signature required upon delivery and it got there without any hassle. This location has always made my shopping life more convenient and it's next to some pretty great restaurants too, so I can't complain! read more

Today I came in with an Amazon drop off because it was the closest UPS store. I figured they would have to check in my package with a scan, so nothing could go wrong. Nothing went wrong. But that's not why I'm updating my review to raise it two stars... While I waited about 12 minutes for an elderly man to ship some papers, I got to witness the enduring patience and kindness of the African-American woman behind the register as she helped him. I heard her help him choose a service that would save him money while meeting his needs correctly. Her explanations to him were clear and helpful and delivered with friendliness. She clearly cared to do her job well, even took pride in it. I hope the owner reads this and keeps her, keeps her happy, and let's her choose and train employees. I had a mailbox service here. I found out they automatically renewed my service without my authorization and tried to charge my card.. I called and asked why they renewed without my authorization and the guy mumbled then told me I'll be refunded and hung up on me. What kind of business practice is this??? I also dropped off a package here that went missing. When I asked about it, they just told me to "talk to corporate". Tried to purchase a paid return envelope for renewing my passport via mail. The friendly associate told me that he is not allowed to sell return envelopes on principle, as he doesn't know what the sender will ship or from where, and the postage might not be enough. It's the German consulate, and they will send a passport from LA to LA. What else are they going to send me when they want a return envelope when applying for a new passport? He suggested trying the UPS Depot which is closed, so I'll see if FedEx wants my business... Two stars for the friendly associate, no stars for the bizarre policy on not selling paid return envelopes. read more

I am fairly confident next time you visit this UPS there will be less construction and not much trouble to find the store. I only had one issue and that was with the shopping center and their early morning construction and abstraction my visibility. I found this store and the rest was probably faster than any super charger you can imagine. I sent over the documents I wanted to print and was ready to mobilize. I probably spent more time finding the store than in the store. The store was clean and the representative was not only extremely helpful and quick. He also was super accommodating. I've been coming to this UPS location for my shipping needs as I live nearby. Even after Covid closures, it remained open and I was able to ship my boxes, including getting a shipping label printed and receipt printed in May and June. However, when I went in yesterday, a female employee that I've never seen before told me that they are shut down for Covid and that they do not print labels. All you can do is to drop off the boxes with labels. When I informed her that I had come in a few weeks ago to ship a box for Father's Day and that I had receipts to prove it, she brushed me off condescendingly like I'm an idiot and said that I must have went to a different location as they haven't printed labels for at least the past 18 weeks. That was very insulting. And unfortunate since this was the closest location to me and convenient. I will be using to FedEx from now on. read more
